Stopped by Boulevard Brewing for a couple drinks on my last trip to KC. Parking can be a bit tricky but there's a parking lot out front or you can street park. When you walk in you'll be transported to a massive, brick, community spirited beer hall. To enter the beer hall you'll need to walk up the stairs to the 2nd floor. To order you'll walk up to the counter and place your order. I ordered a tank 7 which was so good off the tap. Once you order it's open seating throughout the beer hall. Boulevard is a place that is near and dear to my heart. From first dates, weddings, celebrations - it has been an important part of our life. Playing shuffleboard in the rec deck the summer it opened, taking engagement photos, being so excited about the Quirk line from the beginning and seeing it grow to what it is now. Having a drink, snack, or eating one of the yummy Reuben sandwiches in the beer hall is always enjoyable. Plentiful seating (inside and out), great views of the city, and so many options for everyone. You have to stop by the merch to check out their adorable sweatshirts, tshirts, cups, glasses, wall art (etc). You have to try out the new outside deck that was put in for the World Cup. Whenever FPO and I visit Union Station we head to Boulevard Brewing after for local craft beer and munchies. We've been here about half a dozen times. The people are always friendly. The atmosphere laid back. It's a friendly venue with lots of parking, great beer and ale, and some pretty tasty eats. Definitely worth braving the KC roads and never-ending construction. read more

After living in KC for almost 6 years, we finally decided to do the touristy thing and tour Boulevard. We got there about an hour before their next scheduled tour, so we sat in the tap house and had a drink and a snack. The rainbow Sherbet Quirk was cold and refreshing and perfect on such a hot day. The berry noir was tart and delicious, and definitely a must try is you like sour beer. The chips and dip were tasty and perfect for a quick snack. During the tour they offer a "walking beer" they had a couple options, but I tried their Easy Orange which was crisp and fresh and a good choice for a light beer if you like a little extra flavor to it. We were a bit hungry after the tour so we split a buffalo chicken wrap. It was pretty typical as far as a buffalo wrap goes, however I will say that it has the best sauce to filling ratio I've had. All in all a fun and delicious way to spend an afternoon. read more

The Boulevard taproom is one of my favorite spots in KC to take out of town guests. I've been coming here since they were just a tiny bar connected to their brewing/canning facility, and they've only made the space better over the years. When you walk in you can choose if you'd like to sign up for a brewery tour - if you haven't done this it's well worth your time. I usually just head up to the taproom. In reality there are three different taproom places here. The second floor is the main space and where I find myself most often. They serve pretty great bar food and have a ton of taps to choose from. You'll find an array of Boulevard favorites and some experimental options which are fun to sample. They also usually have a free photobooth running and PLENTY of space. It's happened to me, but it's rare that it's so full you can't find a spot. They also have one of the best patios in KC IMO. The top floor is the rec deck which has games, and more space to hang out and enjoy a drink though a more limited bar. Downstairs if you navigate behind the gift shop you can find a more intimate bar where they deposit tour goers over the weekend. During the week they host trivia here and it's always a fun time. Overall you can't go wrong stopping in here for a pint. If you are visiting KC this is a must visit. read more

We came for the brewery tour years ago and this year we came to the beer house. We did a couple of the test brews and 2 or our favorites all in 5oz pours. This paired very well with the charcuterie board and potato chips. The kids played board and cards games. There was so much space that we never felt like it was too loud or that our kids were bothering anyone. With a party of 8 that's impressive. I had no expectations before coming over here and was truly blown away. If I lived in this area I would definitely be popping by this spot frequently. The building itself is outrageously extensive/huge. We came for the live music they have once weekly during the summer, which was downstairs. The music was great and the seats were surprisingly hard to find as it was so packed. The rest of the building/tasting room area is worth trying, as well. There are multiple bars, some offering different things such as their experimenting bar which was such an interesting concept (trying new flavors of things). There are so many seating options so would fit tons of different varieties of groups (high tops, booths, outdoor, etc.). The outdoor area is super pretty (albeit super hot when we went) with a nice view of the area. The beers themselves are pretty varied so probably offer something that would appease anyone, and the prices are fair. The gift shop is shockingly large and has so many things. As someone from out of state I was pretty surprised I wasn't more familiar with this brand because being there you feel like it's a huge presence in the area. read more

All I can think after coming to Boulevard is what took me so long to come here?? If you are a fan of their products you have to stop by. While I'm not a big beer drinker, I love Quirks and they have a bunch of quirk products and even exclusive flavors at this location which is so fun! I went on the paid boulevard tour Fall 2022. The tour was very fun and interesting from what I can recall and was well worth it. My most recent visit, I went to the upstairs bar area and got some outdoor seating. Food options were limiting if you wanted something filling, most were share-ables. We ordered wraps for ourselves and some pretzel bites to share. The wrap was pretty good, but the pretzel bites and the cheese were lacking some flavor. Considering we mostly drink boulevard we were going to enjoy our drinks. I got a ginger lemon raddler and my girlfriend got a ginger grape quirk. Normally, Southwest BLVD is definitely my go-to. I was slightly disappointed with the variety of merchandise. I was hoping to find a more unique selection that used the individual recognition of the beer/seltzers as opposed to just boulevard. Additionally, the shirt I purchased 2 years ago hasn't lasted too well with multiple holes at my belt line. I cannot recommend any of the tshirts. Stick with a hat. Overall, I definitely recommend going on the tour. Aside from the tour, the food and merch selection is weak, but the beer/seltzer selection is perfect. Definitely recommend. read more

Every time I come here I'm so happy I did. The prices are pretty fair. I absolutely love that they have a test area. These are beers that staff have curated themselves and I've fell in love with a few of them! Sometimes they come out locally here. Then there is the og's. You have sours, ipas, their Quirks (seriously the absolute best hard seltzer ever), and other beer choices! The tour is amazing and a definite yes! Love the beer hall and try and stop in anytime I am back visiting family in KC. The beer is always cheaper than most places and there are always the test beers that Boulevard is working on that sometimes do not go into mass production. Some of my favorite beers have been the test series that they only have at the hall. The gift shop always has some unique items and beer to go for super cheap that it is almost a steal. They have quite a few individual cans so you can grab one of each if you want to try all their beers at home without having to buy multipacks elsewhere and not worry about testing them all upstairs. This is actually cheaper than buying their multipacks as you can grab one of every beer to figure out which ones you like the best and then buy in bulk. The tours have always been amazing and I have been on it 5 times. You learn new details every single time and each guide makes it interesting. They used to be free but now have a charge associated, which is fine as you get multiple testers of different beers as you go through and a few tokens to choose specific beers at the end so it is well worth the cost associated. The service has always been top notch and all of the staff from the gift shop to the beer hall have always been super friendly and talkative. The beer hall is a great place to hold large gatherings pending it is not a busy night, but there are private areas for venu rental such as work conferences or weddings that are in another building that are perfect to meet those needs. read more

The staff were so knowledgeable and the beers were so good and the portions very generous. I didn't realize they are the fourth largest and oldest craft brewery in the US. Had a great Saturday afternoon in the Brewery tour. It's a can't miss KC experience. The tour guides are fun and informative. Not your normal stuffy brewery tour. Tasting samples during the tour and after in their tasting room and beer hall. Afterwards we sat on the shaded deck, enjoyed some more great beer and delicious apps. The loaded chips are a surprisingly delicious dish as well as pretzel sticks. The beer hall has a great European beer garden feel. Benches and tables and no TVs to clutter the experience. read more

This is like a brewery estate. The beer hall is a two story tap house complete with balcony seating on the second floor. The first floor offers brewery tours and a very huge gift shop. The bars are on the second floor. There's tons of seating but it's an extremely popular spot to visit so try to arrive on an off day or hour. The barrel aged beers are the best. They don't offer flights except for pre made ones. read more
