We stopped in and wanted to do a tour but arrived too late. So we opted for a flight. They were all refreshing. But one stands out above the rest and it was the Peach Wheat. It was delicious!
Whenever FPO and I visit Union Station we head to Boulevard Brewing after for local craft beer and munchies. We've been here about half a dozen times. The people are always friendly. The atmosphere laid back. It's a friendly venue with lots of parking, great beer and ale, and some pretty tasty eats. Definitely worth braving the KC roads and never-ending construction.
After living in KC for almost 6 years, we finally decided to do the touristy thing and tour Boulevard. We got there about an hour before their next scheduled tour, so we sat in the tap house and had a drink and a snack. The rainbow Sherbet Quirk was cold and refreshing and perfect on such a hot day. The berry noir was tart and delicious, and definitely a must try is you like sour beer. The chips and dip were tasty and perfect for a quick snack. During the tour they offer a "walking beer" they had a couple options, but I tried their Easy Orange which was crisp and fresh and a good choice for a light beer if you like a little extra flavor to it. We were a bit hungry after the tour so we split a buffalo chicken wrap. It was pretty typical as far as a buffalo wrap goes, however I will say that it has the best sauce to filling ratio I've had. All in all a fun and delicious way to spend an afternoon.
Solid brewery and now they have a lot of food items! For sure will be back The pizzas are surprisingly really really good.
Great selection of beers and food. Went with the Oktoberfest, tis the season. Also snagged a chicken salad sandwich on a croissant Really cool brewery with a great patio balcony to relax on. The service was always with a smile!
We took the tour here while family was in town and we had a great time. I wish I remember our tour guides name, they were so funny and knowledgeable. We also enjoyed the tasting room at the end. So many opportunities to sample along the way. They also have a military discount!
Atmosphere is great with the exception of children everywhere! Food is decent, no to the gritty beer cheese though. Service is phenomenal and the free bingo on Sunday's is so much fun.
Boulevard Brewing's bar and patio are a spot you cannot miss when you come to KC. Great views from the patio and a perfect space for a beer on a warm day. Probably one of the best patios in the city. Boulevard has a wealth of beers on tap, something for everyone. Don't sleep on this spot
Love this place! It opened after I moved, but I got to swing by on a recent visit to KC and I'm very glad I did. It's a decent location, the view of downtown is great, and the wheat is (still) my favorite beer. Whether a private event or a visit with friends - it's a must while in KC.
4 stories of fun! Oh my! Plenty of parking in the garage or lot. Check online for their tours of the facility! This place is HUGE & close to downtown KC! Easy to find & get too. We have been 15+ times and I'm finding myself just reviewing it. Order at the bar and wait for your drinks and then grab your number and sit down and the food will come out to you. Everything we have ever eaten has been great. Nice big gift shop with goodies & beer to take home! Check out the Photo Booth!
We came for the brewery tour years ago and this year we came to the beer house. We did a couple of the test brews and 2 or our favorites all in 5oz pours. This paired very well with the charcuterie board and potato chips. The kids played board and cards games. There was so much space that we never felt like it was too loud or that our kids were bothering anyone. With a party of 8 that's impressive. Definitely recommend coming here because the space and service was amazing!
We had a great experience at the brewery. We were attending a surprise party with adults and young kids. They have lots of options, beers, seltzers, & seltzer cocktails. They have a good menus of options. We had a bunch of apps and pizzas and thought everything was decent. It was an open large clean beer hall.
Food is good, drinks are great and the service is amazing! Great ambiance for get togethers, people visiting towns and would 100% recommend the tours! Love this place.
Came here before the Royals vs Marlins game. Pizza was excellent! The beers even better. We got to try a variety of beers we had never tried (yes they have flights!). Order and the bar and they will bring the food to your table. Great ambiance with many wooden tables and benches as well as high top seating along the wall with fantastic views of the city. Elevator or stairs to the second floor for the beer hall #2 read more
Stopped by Boulevard Brewing for a couple drinks on my last trip to KC. Parking can be a bit tricky but there's a parking lot out front or you can street park. When you walk in you'll be transported to a massive, brick, community spirited beer hall. To enter the beer hall you'll need to walk up the stairs to the 2nd floor. To order you'll walk up to the counter and place your order. I ordered a tank 7 which was so good off the tap. Once you order it's open seating throughout the beer hall. Definitely check out this beer hall if you are in KC. By far the best beer in KC! read more
Boulevard is a place that is near and dear to my heart. From first dates, weddings, celebrations - it has been an important part of our life. Playing shuffleboard in the rec deck the summer it opened, taking engagement photos, being so excited about the Quirk line from the beginning and seeing it grow to what it is now. Having a drink, snack, or eating one of the yummy Reuben sandwiches in the beer hall is always enjoyable. Plentiful seating (inside and out), great views of the city, and so many options for everyone. You have to stop by the merch to check out their adorable sweatshirts, tshirts, cups, glasses, wall art (etc). You have to try out the new outside deck that was put in for the World Cup. It's amazing. If you're ever in Kansas City - make sure to put this on the list to check out. read more

It's Boulevard Brewing Company, a big cog in the Kansas City machine of greatness. I remember the first sip of pale ale I had in 1989, an unforgettable transformative moment. (Goodbye boring lagers) Now here we are in the boisterous beer hall with a vast selection of classic and experimental beers. The place is tribute and time machine, the congenial servers offering up your preferred suds and perhaps eatables if you're so inclined. It's not a place of contemplation but more a happy realm to raucously celebrate your otherness in the midst of a madding throng. read more

This place is a midwest institution. We dropped in for a few drinks and had a great time! All of their beers were delicious. The Pale Ale and the unfiltered Wheat were my favorite. There's ample space; the vibes are fun and laid back. And the service was friendly and prompt. I'll be back to try more beers next time I am in Kansas City. read more

Went on the tour and had so much fun! Was able to try some other drinks at the end and decided to get a quick bite before we had dinner and decided to try the pretzel. Loved it to much we got another!! Definition worth getting. Such a ginormous beer hall and thought we wouldn't find a place to sit but were able to find a table for me and my bf. Such a fun place to catch up with friends read more

Great atmosphere with plenty of room to hang out. They have a nice outdoor area on the 2nd floor that has a pretty view of the city. The drinks were amazing! I didn't get any food but it looked delicious. I will definitely try some snacks next time. So grab a drink and meet some friends here for happy hour. I went on the paid boulevard tour Fall 2022. The tour was very fun and interesting from what I can recall and was well worth it. My most recent visit, I went to the upstairs bar area and got some outdoor seating. Food options were limiting if you wanted something filling, most were share-ables. We ordered wraps for ourselves and some pretzel bites to share. The wrap was pretty good, but the pretzel bites and the cheese were lacking some flavor. Considering we mostly drink boulevard we were going to enjoy our drinks. I got a ginger lemon raddler and my girlfriend got a ginger grape quirk. Normally, Southwest BLVD is definitely my go-to. I was slightly disappointed with the variety of merchandise. I was hoping to find a more unique selection that used the individual recognition of the beer/seltzers as opposed to just boulevard. Additionally, the shirt I purchased 2 years ago hasn't lasted too well with multiple holes at my belt line. I cannot recommend any of the tshirts. Stick with a hat. Overall, I definitely recommend going on the tour. Aside from the tour, the food and merch selection is weak, but the beer/seltzer selection is perfect. Definitely recommend. read more

I LOOOOOOOOOVE Boulivard Brewing Company Kansas City Missouri! Great place to have a relaxed evening while sipping on delicious drinks. Only negative is this place closes wayy to early. It should stay open till like 1am. Music is great, yummy food, games to choose from, cool tables to sit at inside, sweet views from the elevated patio of downtown KC from the outside. Staple of Kansas city and if you're in the area you should definitely stop by. read more

I was in town to visit some relatives in the area and they brought us to Boulevard Brewing for some afternoon drinks. Such an interesting spot! We went upstairs and it's such a large space with individual tables and bar tops. I always love a spot that has a bunch of different types of drinks - beer, seltzers, slushies?! What a fun menu! I opted for a passion fruit orange hard seltzer, but there are several other flavors which is great. My husband got a boozy slushy which was great for the hot summer day! read more

I surprised my husband with a taps and tastes for his birthday and we had the best time! Our host/tour guide was so bubbly and fun and the beers with the tastes were extraordinary! After our tasting, we went up and enjoyed the bar area with some free drink tokens that truly made the night unforgettable. read more
I went on the tour with my cousin and we had a great time. There are plenty of samples included I believe it was 5 of them. Three are preset and then they give you bottle caps for redeeming for beers of your choice at the bar. The tour was very informative and well done. The beer was excellent. I liked all the ones I tried. Sadly I live in an area that doesn't sell their beer. Plenty of good merchandise is for sale too. read more

This review is specifically for the trivia night. I haven't really visited other times, but am sure it's great as well. I visited on a Thursday trivia night and we had the best time! It was laid back, but competitive. The trivia was challenging--we can't wait to bring a bigger team with more diversity in our knowledge. If you get the bonus questions right, your team gets free 5 oz pours! As a non-beer drinker, I have to say that boulevard does drinks SO well. If you haven't been to Kansas City before, this is definitely a must visit location. Quirks are the best seltzers and their pale ales are great! read more

Every time I come here I'm so happy I did. The prices are pretty fair. I absolutely love that they have a test area. These are beers that staff have curated themselves and I've fell in love with a few of them! Sometimes they come out locally here. Then there is the og's. You have sours, ipas, their Quirks (seriously the absolute best hard seltzer ever), and other beer choices! The tour is amazing and a definite yes! I've been on quite a few tours and this has been one of my favorite ones. On Saturdays the Rec room (on the 4th floor) is open for 21+. But there is a lot of other seating areas as well! read more

It was good space for our party of 8+ and easy to order at the table. The Greek salad was good but small for the price. Pretzels were good and nice there were a few pizza options. I was not happy with the drink selection they should have juice or lemonade for kids they don't need to be drinking soda or don't like it. Also the nachos look so good on the website but looked worse than some I make at home. I was very upset and overall would not return. read more
Love the beer hall and try and stop in anytime I am back visiting family in KC. The beer is always cheaper than most places and there are always the test beers that Boulevard is working on that sometimes do not go into mass production. Some of my favorite beers have been the test series that they only have at the hall. The gift shop always has some unique items and beer to go for super cheap that it is almost a steal. They have quite a few individual cans so you can grab one of each if you want to try all their beers at home without having to buy multipacks elsewhere and not worry about testing them all upstairs. This is actually cheaper than buying their multipacks as you can grab one of every beer to figure out which ones you like the best and then buy in bulk. The tours have always been amazing and I have been on it 5 times. You learn new details every single time and each guide makes it interesting. They used to be free but now have a charge associated, which is fine as you get multiple testers of different beers as you go through and a few tokens to choose specific beers at the end so it is well worth the cost associated. The service has always been top notch and all of the staff from the gift shop to the beer hall have always been super friendly and talkative. The beer hall is a great place to hold large gatherings pending it is not a busy night, but there are private areas for venu rental such as work conferences or weddings that are in another building that are perfect to meet those needs. read more

I had such a great time here! I went on a tour and have to say it was the best brewery tour I have ever done! The staff were so knowledgeable and the beers were so good and the portions very generous. I didn't realize they are the fourth largest and oldest craft brewery in the US. Also we got food and definitely recommend the chocolate chip cookies. Also, make sure to take photos in the camper in the brewery if you get the chance! Such good food, beer and vibes! Treat yourself and go! read more
What a cool Beer Hall to hang out. The food was surprisingly good, the bartenders were super friendly and talkative, and there was a lot of sitting space inside and outside. What's not to like? No wonder it is so popular. read more

Do they allow outside food?
No, they do not. They have food in the beer hall available for purchase.
Is it dog friendly?
I was there a couple months ago and a friend had his dog inside with him. We sat on the couch by the door and nobody said anything to us. He got a lot of petting :)
