On April 6, I noticed I was charged twice by the gym. I immediately contacted the gym and was told only a manager could help me. After waiting several days with no response, I contacted them again and was finally provided with a manager's email. The manager, Abigail, told me I needed to contact their billing company because they only showed one charge on their end. After speaking with the billing company, they discovered I had two active accounts with the gym, despite the fact that I had only signed up once. I requested the duplicate account be canceled and refunded, but the billing company told me the gym itself had to process the refund. I contacted the gym again and spoke with Abigail, who said she could not see the duplicate account and needed to contact the billing company herself. A week went by with no update until I reached out again. Abigail then stated she found the duplicate account, canceled it, and issued the refund. Two more weeks passed and I still had not received anything. Once again, I had to contact the gym myself for another update, and once again I was told Abigail needed to contact the billing company and would call me back. Another week passed with no communication. When I contacted the gym yet again, I then discovered that my actual active membership had somehow been canceled as well. At that point, I requested to speak with someone above Abigail because the situation had become extremely frustrating and unprofessional. No one at the gym would provide me with supervisor or ownership information. Instead, they gave me an email address for complaints -- the same email I had already used previously, which Abigail herself responded to. I was assured that if I submitted a complaint about Abigail, someone else would contact me, but that was not true. Abigail still ended up being the one who reached out. Eventually, the refund was finally issued and my annual fee was refunded as well. I appreciate that Abigail did ultimately work toward fixing the issue, but it should never take over a month to resolve a simple $40 duplicate charge. What disappointed me most was the lack of communication, accountability, and transparency from management. I loved the gym itself, the environment, and the workouts, but poor leadership and customer service can completely ruin an otherwise great experience. Unfortunately, that is exactly what happened here.

I was in such a dark place with my body because I was the heaviest (but worse, the weakest) I had ever been. Sara is a wonderful trainer! She is patient, understanding and all around very knowledgeable about how to get you where you want to be no matter your goals. It took three months to get me to a happy place where my body was doing the work for me. Im still working on getting beach ready but I feel great. I'm down 10 lbs (teetering at 15 and if I stick the course I'll be down 20lbs by end of the month) but I have gained lots of muscle as well so some of that weight is healthy, which I love because that is what allows me to have cheat days. The biggest transformation I saw aside from muscle gain and major weight loss was my lifestyle change. Sara trainer my body to make better food choices without getting cranky (my husband was in shock when I told him to put the chips back on the shelf). My body craved healthy. I started to be kinder to my body by analyzing what I was putting into it. I started to understand portion control without feeling like I was starving. My mind became clearer so I was able to be much more productive and efficient to enjoy life more instead of work all the time. And most of all I started to go to the gym without hesitation. Getting to the gym was always the hard part for me but through her trainings you learn a special kind of discipline. The beginning is the hardest (I was hangry a lot, had little self control, felt so weak) BUT if you're faithful there is a turning point that you earn where it just gets easier. When you've been unkind to your body for such a long time like I did there are a lot of bad habits that you need to kick. It's been 4 months and I am SO happy with my new lifestyle. I'm consistently losing weight even if I slip sometimes (AYCE sushi is a habit that I haven't quite kicked). But the way she trained my body with the muscle I'm allowed those little slip ups without any major setbacks. I cannot recommend Sara enough. Hands down you can't go wrong with her so you can literally end your search here. My biggest advice I can give to those entering this life changing journey with her is to trust her and do as she says even when your legs feel like jelly. When you go off track you're only hurting yourself.

I've learned new workouts, proper form and most importantly that your body only achieves what your mind believes . During workouts she likes to say encouring things like " Come on you're stronger than you think... stronger than you think " and gives you that extra push you need to get through a tough workout. She reminds you to breathe during reps and is concerned with safety which is important while working on strength. I've set goals for the year and there's no one better than Sara to be going through this experience with.

The classes are no more than 6 people at a time. You'll get to know the people in your classes over time, and it feels very supportive instead of intimidating. Coach Nancy and Coach Alyssa are amazing. They're attentive, encouraging, and always help me modify movements when I need to. I've been sedentary for a while, I have rheumatoid arthritis, and I'm limited with a bad knee, and they always make sure I can workout safely while still making progress. The first few weeks were hard for me, I felt very awkward because I've never done any kind of strength training before. But now I can really feel the difference in just 2 months time. Sarah, the owner, is incredibly warm and welcoming, and Daniel is always insightful, friendly, and helpful. We did our 3 day trial and we were extremely humbled by the workout, but wow it was exhilarating! We immediately signed up for both of us to be members. What stood out to us in those three days were the format of strength and conditioning, but also the intense care and eye of the coaches. I thought I knew how to do a deadlift, but with Coach Broc, I learned that boy was I wrong! The workouts are intentional to build our strength in the strength portion and I genuinely have never been stronger in my life. We have hit personal records, one after the other, with the careful coaching from the coaches here. Coach Sina, Sara, Broc, Victor, and Chris really make you feel accomplished and safe when learning new moves (trust me, I am a mega beginner at lifting)! I now feel more confident in what I can do and I have seen such drastic changes in my mental and physical health. Not even a year in, my husband and I signed up to do singles DEKA Mile. If you asked me a year ago what that was, I wouldn't have been able to tell you. We invited our parents and our close friends and they were so amazed by what we had accomplished.
