As a Professional, I believe that effective communication and patient care are fundamental aspects of my everyday life. During my recent visit, I observed behaviors that left me dissatisfied with the patient experience. Specifically, [with the communication of the Doctor, Dr. Pattem, and her unlearned experience regarding my benefits and health. Her indecisiveness and unethical behavior were deplorable, such as lack of empathy, rushed consultations, or inadequate explanations of medical conditions. It is crucial to emphasize that patients are not merely cases but individuals seeking guidance, understanding, and reassurance during often stressful times. The quality of the patient-doctor interaction significantly influences the overall perception of this medical practice. I understand that medical professionals often face challenging situations, but maintaining a compassionate and patient-centric approach is essential. Patients deserve to feel heard, valued and cared for throughout their medical journey. I kindly state if you are seriously thinking about visiting this office, STAY AWAY. THEY DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT implement training or measures to ensure that their staff, including the doctor, Dr. Pattem, all uphold the highest standards of bedside manners, nor does she provide a positive and empathetic environment for her patients.

I normally wouldn't leave a negative review for an occasional mistake, but this has now happened three separate times with multiple members of my family over the past two years -- all with the same provider. The issues included: * A prescription called in for the completely wrong patient, delaying treatment by several hours. * Another prescription that was never transmitted to the pharmacy despite staff confirming it had been sent. After several failed trips to the pharmacy, it was dismissed as a "glitch," forcing me to return to the clinic for a paper prescription. * Most concerning, a prescription sent to the wrong pharmacy location and apparently dispensed to another patient -- a significant lapse in accuracy and patient privacy. When speaking with the pharmacy about one of these errors, staff mentioned that problems with this provider were recurring and not limited to my family. The clinical staff were polite, but the repeated administrative and prescription failures created unnecessary stress, wasted significant time, and raised legitimate concerns about reliability and patient safety. Urgent care is supposed to make things easier, not more complicated. I hope the practice takes these systemic issues seriously and improves their prescription processes. Until then, I would be very cautious about returning.

Thus, I decided to explore what cosmetic dermatology has to offer for me.     I consider myself a smart shopper -- I do my homework before committing to purchase. I don't have unlimited funds either.  I got a few recommendations from various sources and set up my consultations. I met aesthetic specialists with extensive and impressive portfolios and formed an idea of what I wanted to have done. In the process I got offered hard to beat deals and went for it. Only to learn that any cosmetic enhancement is not just a purchase of a product, it's an investment in your provider's clinical artistry, skill and expertise... I did not like large dermatology practices. It felt like in their attempts to carry every injectable product under the sun and offer every cosmetic procedure known to man, they somehow compromised their chance to stand out and stand for something they believe in.  I was not comfortable in a rushed, conveyer-belt type of an environment, neither was I satisfied with their standard text-book recommendations. A couple of my friends invited me to attend an event at Juno Dermatology in Palm Beach Gardens, where I met Brittany Zimmerman, a physician assistant specializing in medical and cosmetic dermatology. Brittany conducted a live cosmetic procedure demonstration at the event. Her performance was art, her approach - science. That evening changed the way I perceived cosmetic procedures, and everything I had learned about them up to date.    I was immediately drawn to the boutique style of the whole practice, the contemporary elegance of the office and its welcoming staff.  I scheduled a private consultation with Brittany for the following week.          Brittany listened carefully to learn what it was that brought me to them in the first place. And then we talked about the main components of beauty - shape, color, texture, and size--and their hierarchy. We singled out what concerned me the most and worked out a treatment plan to correct it. I was bothered by some facial volume loss and skin laxity that took away from the ethnic uniqueness I was always proud of. I also had concerns about the overall look of my skin, uneven texture and pigment. Brittany explained to me that shape is the most important "aspect of beauty" - it makes a dramatic difference in the projected age and attractiveness of the face. Aesthetic providers who simply opt to increase the size of lips or cheeks without taking into consideration creating a shape produce undesirable results. Changes of even a few millimeters in the face can be quite remarkable. We also talked about things seemingly unrelated to my cosmetic consultation - clothes, travel, music, books. Brittany gave me a chance to get to know her, and she learned about me and my style. She told me it helped her to understand what outcome I was looking for and why, and she came up with an individualized treatment plan to produce the results that not only fitted my face, but my personality as well.   I had filler treatments to restore and add the volume and re-contour the definition I was starting to lose. It revived my features, made me look and feel myself again.   I am also planning to start a series of microneedling with PRP treatments to work towards improving the texture of my skin and maintaining its youth.   I must conclude that Brittany proved to me that non-surgical cosmetic enhancements can pack a big punch without being obvious when done by a skillful, passionate and talented provider.

Their disorganization has regularly put me through phone tag hell and left me stranded without my medication. Departments do not communicate between each other adequately and they have failed to refill my prescription after prescription refill appointments not once but twice in the last two years, resulting in painful weeks waiting for my medication. I've currently been calling and leaving messages every day this week begging for the refill I paid to have done two months ago with no response from any practitioner. I will be seeking a new doctor to monitor my autoimmune disease and administer my refills.
