The staff was very professional and courteous. All the nurses that I saw was a RN, working the floor just like the nurses aide at other facilities. The surrounding area had a lot of trees, that gave it a very serene feeling and atmosphere. In my opinion, these trees give your mindset to breathe , relax and meditate on the goodness of a God given life.

They did a wonderful job explaining how this worked and making us comfortable. The private room was nice. I rinsed off (recommend) before floating and it was just me and myself and I for an hour of solitary thought. It's salt water, so it getting in my eyes was awful, but the give you a squeeze bottle of clean water to rinse. After the float, I had a lovely shower and went on my way. I had a colonoscopy scheduled here at the North County Surgicenter. I found the experience very…read moreeasy-going without much stress or consternation. The check-in and processing were pretty straightforward. I didn't wait long in their waiting area before being taken down the hallway through the secure double doors. The preparation and recovery room comprised a few bed areas. I paused briefly at a chair in the hallway while they ensured the one I was going to was ready. I was comfortable once I was prepared for the procedure in the bed area selected for me. The nursing staff was beneficial and kind, and felt they had me covered and taken care of. The only issue was the delay in my scheduled entry time. But that was due to the exam and procedure taking longer for other patients. So, I couldn't hold that against them that much. Once I was in, my doctor was friendly and warm and ensured this would go quickly. The drugs certainly were quick, so they administered them IV, which put me to sleep. They were warm and happy. I was out within seconds. I wish they had kept me out longer because the sleep was so heavenly. But the procedure didn't take long, and they were good with getting me back into coherence, into street clothes, and on my way.

I found out through calling that they were trying to get insurance authorized. The referral states there is no authorization required. I called my insurance provider and they affirmed this. I called again and told them I spoke with the insurance company, but they still would not book appointments. Seems like a bloated burocracy. I called another PT and instantly got appointments.
