We bought a Gamburd chairlift and had it installed on the stairs in our home in 2012. We initially used the chairlift to move my mother-in-law from the first floor to the second floor, where we had her bedroom. The chairlift worked great while my mother-in-law was with us. However, about six months after she started living with us, we had to move her to a 24-hour Alzheimer's care unit nearby. As a result, we did not use the chairlift for some time! Well, my wife recently had major surgery and we needed it again for her. So, I tried to get the chairlift to work, but it wouldn't. So I called Kat Arrunategui at Gamburd and told her our situation. She was very nice -- told me that because we had not used the chairlift for a while, we needed to have the battery pack replaced. She said she would send Misha Volionis out to look and the chairlift and do what is necessary to get the chairlift back in service. She was even kind enough to get Misha to come out the same afternoon -- a Saturday -- that I called -- very impressive. So, Misha showed up -- he looked very professional and was very polite and prepared -- he also had all the tools and parts he needed. He went through the chairlift from top to bottom; replaced all the parts that needed to be replaced; and then serviced the entire system -- cleaned it, greased it, etc. He then tested the chairlift by riding it up and down the stairs -- just to make sure everything was perfect. The whole procedure took about a half and hour and thereafter, we had a perfectly working chairlift again! It was also convenient that I could pay for the service by debit or credit card. Because my wife is coming home from the hospital Monday, and it is very important to have a working chairlift for her, I am very grateful that Kat arranged for Misha to come out and service the chairlift; and very pleased that Misha was so knowledgeable, polite, efficient and professional in getting our chairlift up and running again. Consequently, I highly recommend Gamburd -- and specifically, Kat and Misha, for not only the fine product they sold us, but the kind, courteous and professional service they have been able to provide us! read more

Extremely poor service provided by Gamburd for my Bruno home chairlift. The general incompetence of the oft visiting technical personnel was surprisingly bad! Post one visit of 5 1/2 hours the honest but unqualified techie admitted that he had screwed-up the repair... as we patiently awaited his departure and our freedom to have evening dinner. Post several increasingly assertive telcons with the home office supervisor, he finally admitted a design flaw in my "extension system" and that an all new design replacement could solve my Bruno chairlift problems....at a cost to me of close to $1,700 plus installation charges of $600! With some 40+ yrs in the auto industry, I advised Gamburd of "product recall protocol", which they chose to argue about!? This resulted in "Israel", presumably a top cheese at Gamburd, threatening me over the phone to cease "abusing" his people. I then simply reviewed Bruno's home website and the strong customer satisfaction of this family-owned company and phoned their headquarters Customer Service. They responded promptly, professionally and agreed my "product recall responsibility" point and immediately gave me the name and address of one of their better representatives in the LA area. The newly designed extension was forwarded to and installed by their recommended dealer with a small token installation charge by my new Bruno Chairlift source. Bottom line, Gamburd is too large & condescending to properly represent Bruno's chairlift products! read more

I needed a stair lift badly due to 25% of normal lung capacity (I have less than 1 lung from 2 cancers...) It's taken a very long time for me to get the stair lift as I needed to wait for new flooring on my stairs and for funding (which I don't have completely,) etc... David came to my house in early summer 2018 and told me all about the Bruno and answered all my questions. I immediately liked Gamburd, it's a family company (we don't have enough of those these days,) was created to help a family member, and they extend open arms to their customers by creating a wholesome, truthful, trustworthy, company which helps so many people stay in their homes. David was patient, he followed up in early August but I still wasn't ready. He didn't pressure or bug me, which was well appreciated... Then the time came! I applied for the finance option, was approved and the next day, voila!!! I had a stair lift. On installation day, Ivan arrived during the window of time selected. He worked hard, did the install which included removing a hand rail (which is cleaned up and ready to paint over the holes in the wall). The unit was installed quickly and cleanly. It's BEAUTIFUL!!! Ivan taught me how to use the lift, what a joy to not be totally winded when I arrive upstairs! He was polite, considerate, patient, and a good worker. I can't say enough that's positive about my experience with Gamburd. From Manny's initial visit to evaluate our needs to his final overview of the work that had been done, Gamburd provided excellent workmanship and service. We had three stairlifts installed - one outdoors and two in, the latter two were custom-made. All have been a blessing. Not only do my husband and I (92 and 86 respectively) use the lifts regularly to transport ourselves, but I load groceries and other heavy items from our car and send them up on the chair to our kitchen door. I do the reverse when a heavy item needs to go down. We live in a townhouse and access to the 3rd floor loft (my space) was becoming increasingly difficult. In general, we were doing whatever we could to avoid going up and down the stairs. We were very committed to remaining in our home and questioned the reality of doing so. Now I no longer exhaust myself going up and down the stairs! I can even take the laundry basket and other bulky items up and down with ease! All personnel at Gamburd - the several who worked onsite for the actual installation, as well as Manny, Don, and Christa - were dedicated, skilled, and completely committed to our satisfaction. I needed an outside chair-lift. I contacted several companies and picked Gamburd because of their responsiveness, professionalism, product selection and price. Manny did my initial consultation and gave me some excellent suggestions to improve the accessibility around my house. I was impressed that he did NOT recommend that I use Gamburd to install handrails at my front door; instead, he suggested I use a wrought-iron company, as the final product would be more aesthetically pleasing for a main entrance. For the rest of the property, Gamburd was able to make custom-fitted ramps and handrails for a very reasonable price. They installed the ramps and rails at the same time as the chair-lift and so were able to save money on the labor and installation costs. Manny worked with me on the price of the stair-chair and was able to get a used mechanism that was still under warranty. He even replaced a number of the used components with brand-new ones, while still sticking to the original quote. The installation went smoothly and professionally. Everyone I dealt with at the company was professional, courteous and competent. I am extremely pleased with the results and the customer service. While I hope not to have to install any more mobility equipment, I will certainly use Gamburd again if the need arises. read more

By nature, I am very selective and rarely see good workmanship in US. But, I am very, very pleased for the Bruno product explanations provided by Don Little when we were in the showroom, the correct measurements taken and quote given by David Hernandez (previously an installer), and specially Misha Valionis for his installation work. Misha was on time to the appointment, it was a Saturday, which i requested so I can be home, he installed the Bruno chairlift expertly and correctly, and did a very clean work. In US, I come across to many trades people and technicians who do 'Mickey Mouse' works, bad quality, but truly, I am very impressed by the work done and that I chose Gumbard. I trsuted my 'gut feeling' when choosing Gamburd and interacting with their team. There were two other chairlift companies that I asked them to come and give me quotes. Both sent saleswomen who have no idea about installations and taking measurements. They just had a tablet and useless presentations to give me, which easily can be looked on Google. Straight away, I told them do not waste my time, and because they were not installer and no work experience, I cut the meeting short (5 minutes). My wife has MS. After an accident on the upper stairway, we decided to look into a stairlift. My wife looked at information on several products, but was impresed with the people she spoke with at Gamburd. We scheduled a meeting with company reps David Hernandez and Doug Merrill and had a very informative and detailed meeting about the stairlift, the timing of the project, and the cost. We informed David and Doug of our decision to install the stairlift. We later received engineering documents showing how the stairlift would be installed and what it would look like. We were informed about the progress of completing the manufacture of our unit and again when it was being sent to our house. The (2) installers, Gary and Misha, were at our house at the exact time the installation had been scheduled. They did a "fabulous job" installing the unit. They took there time showing my wife how the unit worked and what options were available when using the unit. Their demeanor was excellent during the entire process. They did a lot of extremely physical and detailed work, and did it prefectly! My wife is extremely happy now about her ability to go up and down the stairs in a very safe and comfortable manner. Gamburd came through for us when I was scheduled for another foot and ankle surgery. This would be my 5th foot surgery and I didn't want to spend the recovery time confined to the second floor as I was the previous times. We contacted Gamburd and David Hernandez, their accessibility consultant, came out to look at our staircase and explain things. He told us they wouldn't be able install our stairlift before the surgery. They required at least 6 weeks to put together a custom unit and we had slightly less than a month till surgery. David said he would put a rush on the order and they'd do their best. He even drove all the way out to our house to pick up a second check so the order process wouldn't be delayed by the mailing process. To my amazement, they managed to install the stairlift in a month, only 2 days after my surgery. The company really came through for us. Today, I had to have a little maintenance done and Augustin Rivera came out to check our stairlift. He was great. He was very considerate and explained things thoroughly. After having an Acorn stair-lift installed in my home previously, I can definitely appreciate the quality of the Bruno stair-lift. The product is made of thick-gauge steel and the track supports are very sturdy. There is absolutely no comparison of the two stair-lifts except to say the Acorn is a "Ford" and the GAMBURD/Bruno is the "Rolls Royce". The GAMBURD/Bruno chair is very comfortable and solid. It took me three minutes and 40 seconds to reach the top of my stairs on the ACORN stair-lift. The Bruno takes 47 seconds. The Acorn chair dug into the back of my legs and the ride was slow and jerky. The Acorn chair is a hard molded material. The Bruno is a cushioned, upholstered chair, and much more comfortable. The GAMBURD/Bruno stair-lift is fully adjustable, comfortable, and the lift was expedient. The staff at GAMBURD was friendly, professional, and a pleasure to do business with. My doctor recommended a stair chair for me in order to minimize my exertion, to reduce stress to my diaphragm and lungs, and to enable freedom of movement throughout our entire two-story house (with 18 steps between the two floors). Each of the personnel at Gamburd was pleasant, professional, and helpful. A convenient estimate appointment was made and kept. On the BIG DAY, equipment was brought in and installed in one afternoon. I received verbal instructions, written instructions, a demonstration of how it worked, and several "trial rides." The work area was left clean - there was no mess to clean up. My elderly parents were faced with a future problem of walking up the stairs to get to the bedroom and bath needs until my mother (Eleodora A.), saw a TV ad for a stairlift. After she told me about it, I went searching for a stairlift vendor through the Yelp App and found Gamburd. An appointment was made with a nice gentleman in the name of Manny Gomez and we decided on the Bruno Elan indoor stairlift model with power folding footrest and power swivel. Two weeks later the unit was installed by technician Misha. Misha's professionalism was top notch, presenting himself with a courteous demeanor and answering all our questions during the installation process. The install took a little under three hours and the quality work was excellent. The power wires were tucked and mounted along the baseboards very neatly, the rails looked perfectly parallel against the wall, and the carpet was vaccumed afterwards. Finally ended up on a "chat" line with Don who was able to answer all my questions and concerns. He also assisted me in reviewing the top 12 chair providers. He then booked an appointment with Manny Gomez who gave me an estimate and advised me about manufacturers, warranties, service and part availability. Manny talked about options, but was quick to advise the basic chair and options that might be added later. The conversation was so on point that I scheduled installation, asking if a quick install could be arranged. Two days later Ivan and Alex were at my door. I got in touch with Gamburd based on their yelp reviews and Yelp was right! I am a very happy customer. The 5 star reviews are well deserved. The service Israel provides is one of the best I have come across. They are prompt, responsive and are very compassionate with elders. Service appointments are confirmed via mails with a photo of the service man so they can be easily identifiable. We had some issues with the stair lift initially, but Israel was quick to resolve the problem and the chair lift is working fine now. We installed the Bruno chairlift with a hairpin turn at the bottom of the stairs. It's given independence and freedom for my dad and the physical relief for my mom (who is the caregiver) getting in and out of the house. Thank you Israel for your very valued service. Very Pleased with service chair was installed 2 or 3 days afte1st contact with office. Installer was great, on time, very professional and installation took a few hours , He hauled away my old chair that had given up the ghost at no charge. Made me do a test run to make sure I was comfortable operating the chair. Showed me all the bells and whistles. I had contacted a few other companies and had to cancel the sale with another because they were not delivering what was promised. Gamburd came thru for me as I cannot get up my stairs with out the chair. It was quick and they stood behind their word which is important to me in this world of business. We purchased a Bruno stairlift from Gamburd, Inc. We are happy with the chair and were pleased with the entire experience of working with the folks at Gamburd. The sales person, David, was available to come to our house on short notice and to describe the product. We decided on the spot that what he offered would work for us. David then spent about an hour making measurements for the needed engineering drawings. Our application was somewhat complicated because the stairway has two 90-degree bends. For that reason, we needed a custom rail, which was manufactured in the mid-west with a lead time of four weeks. The system was delivered promptly on the promised date and time and was installed without a hitch in less than three hours. The stairlift has worked flawlessly since then. Today (7/7/16) I had a Bruno Elite curved stair chair lift installed by Gamburd and I couldn't be more pleased with the entire process. Manny Gomez was an excellent sales rep. Gamburd is a very organized top notch operation. We had our lift installed a little over 5 years ago. On Saturday the lift started beeping so we called the number on the chair and got Alex on the phone. Alex tried to trouble shoot the chair over the phone and couldn't get it to work, Alex then sent us a video hoping that it would help solve the problem. Once we tried both options Alex schedule ivan to come over on the same day! What triggered me to take the time to write a review is the fact that the company was trying to save us money by possibly fixing the chair over the phone or sending us a video. The tech Ivan showed up and got the chair working, he serviced our unit and also recommended replacing the batteries considering the unit was 5 years old and never been serviced.
