After breaking my ankle I had to choose between selling my home or modifying my home to permit me to remain there for the foreseeable future. LIfeway Mobility Accessible Systems of Denver was a lifesaver! Jaime was attuned to my needs from the start. She spent several hours evaluating my home and creating a plan and then discussing that plan and modifying it as necessary. All of the installers were professional and courteous and the modifications were made as scheduled. I meet with John today and he spent a considerable amount of time making sure that everything worked and that I understood how the mechanics of the stair lifts worked. Ok...first bathrooms are expensive! I had bids between 18,000 and 30,000.... Normally you can find someone lower then the highest. But, I found the low bids are almost like the fit tub commercials....they have a general look and it's kinda one style for all. So, money....you will have to pay to get a great bathroom....and folks if your going to do a project like this...it's because you want to enjoy your house. If your moving or selling your not enjoying the remodel your about to do...sell as is.....it's not worth just to put in a new bathroom and sell the next day. I encourage all, if you like your home and you have things you want changed....DO IT! Do not sit in your home 15 years and fix it up to sell.....fix it up to enjoy it now! Truly selling in Colorado, unless your moving down south....selling in Colorado is silly....unless your truly downsizing! If you enjoy your home except certain things....get it upgraded and enjoy your home...then when you go to sell, if you ever do you will not feel like a fool having to put out 50,000 just to sell.....so enjoy your home, slowly improve your home and enjoy it......then when you sell....you will feel good about it. This is the second time I have used this company; Every employee from the beginning of my request until the end has been kind, considerate - they listen, they are extremely helpful...especially when you know you need something, but you're not sure what or how to make it "right". Their craftmanship is beautiful, and custom for you & your liking. They've always had good communication and have always been on time. We love that! I love this company. God willing, I won't need any more assistance, but if I do - they will be the first and only place I call. If there is anything you think can make your life easier - ask them if they can figure it out for you First, before you go somewhere else or hire a contractor -really. We hired Accessible Systems to renovate a shower, not the whole bathroom, just a 18 sq ft shower. After waiting months after signing the contract without any contact from Accessible Systems, I contacted them to find out the status on our job. I was told that they would get started on a Monday in two weeks. Great. The Friday before the scheduled Monday start date, they contacted us to say that they were going to slip the start date by a week. Mind you we had already made work schedule arrangements so that we could be at the house on the Monday. So we had to re-arrange our schedule. Fast forward to the first week of the work. I noticed that the person working our project wasn't working full days. (FYI, when we signed the contract, they told us that it was a 5 day job, but the contract allowed for 2 weeks just in case of unforeseen issues.) When I asked him about it, he said that he couldn't always work a full day because he had to let things dry. After a two weeks, the shower still wasn't complete. The project manager inspected the work and determined that several the tiles had been chipped or damaged and would need to be replaced. I called the project manager on that Friday and was assured that they would finish the job by the following Wednesday, worse case. On that Saturday, the worker showed up, dropped off the shower doors, and informed me that he wouldn't be able to finish the job and told me the project manager would assign someone new to finish the job. I call the project manager and he was taken by surprise. Apparently the worker had just quit the company and his boss didn't even know it. The project manager contacted me a day later and said that a new worker would finish the job and begin work next Tuesday. Mind you, this is 3 weeks from the start of the work. Come Wednesday, they still weren't done and we had to go out of town. After we returned, they came to install the hardware and the shower doors. Then we find that they didn't have the right parts for the doors. Another week goes by before the finally finish the job. To make matters worse, the quality of the tile work is mediocre at best and definitely not of the same quality of our other showers. Bottom line, don't hire these guys. They are nice enough but their project management is not good and the quality of the work is below average. Beware. read more

Accessible Systems did an unbelievable job on our bathroom. I have MS and trying to navigate a bathroom/shower is often a challenge. Accessible Systems created an incredible solution for us and I can't recommend them highly enough. They truly went above and beyond for us after some initial miscommunication. They really did right by us and we are so grateful for them and their understanding. Their attention to detail, customer service and workmanship is beyond outstanding. I'm appalled at how we have been treated. I was lied to about a 6" curb protecting my daughter from driving off the side of her ramp in a power chair. They forgot to build it and then said they don't because they fail after a few years. They didn't calculate the rise for our ramp and made it too short. Now they want me to request more money from my daughters waiver to cover their mistakes. I've had their field supervisor Gary out to pretty much call me a liar and want to see my daughter actually use it. She has spastic quad CP and is learning to use her new gait trainer. Why should I force her to use an incline at 2/12 just because your contractor Matt refused to check The sales guys math. Never use this company unless you love being ignored and blown off because of their company's issues!!! read more

I would give them more than five stars, if I could. They stayed open late on a Saturday to accommodate my mother's urgent need for a hospital bed at home. They were beyond helpful from the moment we called until installation was finished. Not only that - the owner and another employee personally came to my parents' house and installed the bed themselves, since it was late on a Saturday. I would recommend Accessible Systems to anyone who needs medical equipment or renovations, without any hesitation. I was in a bind and needed a ramp. I'm a double amputee. The sales staff was more than willing to take my money for the sale. I no longer need it and wanted them to buy it back. I realize they are not obligated to repurchase this ramp and I realize the ramp is year and six months old and it has very little wear, but what happened to customer service. The Denver office of Accessible Systems is the WORST. They stood me up repeatedly, once because the installer needed a nap. They lied when confronted about problems with the installation, broke my hose bib and killed my lawn with their chemicals. Never use these horrible people. I had extensive Bathroom remodels and was told the Master bath would be out of commission for only 1 week. Four weeks later, it still wasn't near finished and had to be redone. read more

We are very satisfied with the finished product. My only complaint is that about 2 inches of sawdust plus left around the ramp. I did not notice it until after the workmen left. My expectation was that it would be cleaned up. But most importantly, the ramp is amazing. We are more than pleased and will certainly use accessible systems in the future if the need should arise. read more

My elderly parents got a chair lift installed in there house and there were some outstanding problems. My mom held back $400 out of $2900. They got assistance of $2500 - Andy said he would not fix the problems till he was paid in full. Instead of focusing on the repairs and making my mom happy Andy threatened my mom with a lien on the house several times. Andy was nasty, rude, abusive and aggressive with my mom. Shame on him - I dislike people that take advantage of the elderly. Finally Andy send a repairman which demanded payment prior to performing the repairs. The repairs were performed and he got paid. I do not recommend this company, they are money hungry and because of the aforementioned issues. read more

Had them come out to quote a simple bathroom (nothing custom, no moving of pluming, no special tile patterns, just simple upgrade of items). First off, they wouldn't even send me the quote or go over it on the phone with me. They wanted me to drive all the way to Englewood (an hour away) to review which I never went because that just cocky of them to think I'm driving an hour there and an hour back. They wanted to make everything custom after I told them I wanted cookie cutter stuff like at home depot. Then they kept trying to push their left over floor products onto me saying they would give me a good deal. Obviously, I didn't choose them because if they are this difficult to deal with on just getting a quote then they would be worse during the remodel. read more

We were referred to Accessible systems via the Atlantis Community; we have an old house which had a stall shower, & our oldest son has many disabilities (epilepsy, autism, motor disorders, etc.) so we really needed to upgrade the shower situation so that we could better assist him in bathing. Having a bath with some grab bars was absolutely necessary so that he could sit down, and so that we could have full access to him. When the bids came in: I was excited to work with Marty and Accessible Systems, as he had some of the better/more creative ideas of the bidders, & he had a great attitude about things like moving plumbing & general layout; the other contractors we're all groans and moans when things like moving the fixtures and adding a closet came-up, but Marty was really positive and receptive. Unfortunately, we did not get to work with Marty, as he had some previous engagements; instead Marvin was assigned to our job. Working with Marvin was not a positive experience; at every turn we were encouraged to cut corners and make concessions for no other reason than it would be easier for him and/or his crew. I had been thinking about the plan for the bathroom for 3 years, so I knew what we needed & where things needed to go, but my plan was constantly questioned by Marvin. At some point he even questioned whether or not we "deserved" a new bathroom -- & the overall accessibility of the design -- because our son was not in a wheelchair, & despite his many physical and cognitive disabilities; I would think that someone who worked for a company like this would understand that disability comes in many forms and manifests in myriad ways. The contractors were supposed to level the bathroom floor (as detailed in the contract) after they gutted the bathroom, but they did not; the floor & the tub are not level, but (fortunately) passed inspection & the tub (mostly) drains properly. Their tile installer chipped the brand-new bath tub, & Accessible's initial solution to this problem was to buy a cheap, bright-white epoxy & fill-in the chip; this not only looked terrible, but the epoxy fell off within a few days. They then hired a "professional" to resurface that area of the tub, but -- at a little over a year later -- the repair job has not stood the test of time; the guy doing the resurfacing did not prep the area with sanding or anything, & just airbrushed over some epoxy. (At least he got the color right.) Another issue we had was with the sink plumbing; we had purchased a compact sink cabinet to save space in the bathroom, & the plumbing needed to be mindfully-installed. The electrician they hired (who is also a general contractor) advised the crew on how to install the plumbing, as he had worked with this type of cabinet before (it also came with instructions) but Marvin immediately threw all of the instructions -- & half the PVC pipe included with the cabinet -- into the garbage; I found it all in the trash after the job was finished. Marvin somehow managed to fill the entire cabinet with drain pipe, precluding any storage functionality. We had to have another person from Accessible (Andy, who was very friendly) completely tear-out Marvin's plumbing job & do it again so that we could use the cabinet as intended. All this could have been avoided if they had listened to the electrician, read the included instructions, or used the included parts. It's been just over a year & the "stainless steel" grab bar which they installed is rusting from the inside; the tile wall underneath it & the tub are taking-on some rust stains. I discovered that cheap steel screws were used to install the grab bar, & am concerned that its structural integrity is not what it should be. We're also having a lot of grout wash-out from the area where the tub meets the tile, which is something that would not be happening if Accessible had agreed to use the polymer grout I purchased myself for the job; they talked me out of that as well because it was too "labor intensive." Now I have to hire someone to come & fix the grab bar, repair the grout washing-out so we don't get water between the tub & the wall, & the tub chip, because we're (barely) past Accessible's warranty period. Having to do these kinds of repairs only a year after the job smacks of negligent workmanship. Despite all of this: we definitely had some good experiences with Accessible Systems; the majority of their crew were very respectful, attentive, & hard-working, but the guy in-charge really soured the whole experience. We also really enjoyed the plumber they hired, who was one of the most positive & easy-to-deal-with people on the entire job; I wish I could remember the name of that company so that we could work with them again if needed. I called Accessible a week ago to talk about the issues we're having -- despite being outside the warranty period -- even if only to receive some advice/guidance/referrals, yet have had no response. read more

One of the worst experiences of my life. They were 6 weeks behind schedule. They would not return phone calls. They would show up late. They made us wait and were late for their appointments. One of the owners would not return phone calls. Support staff was short and rude, every time we called. They promised they would complete the job in a timely manner. My loved one DIED, waiting for them to start the bathroom. He never got to take the shower they sold/promised him. They did not slope the shower stall correctly and when we take a shower, the bathroom has 1/2" of water on the floor - every time we shower. They told us they were done with the contract, but, WE had a BIG problem now. We went downstairs and water was pouring into the basement from leaking pipes. In December of 2015, I was in the market for a mobility scooter. We stopped in there, because they were local to us. They allowed me, as well as my husband, to try 2 different scooters. We chose the 4 wheel scooter, because of the stability. By the time we left, the 'driving out the door' cost was over $1800.00. With a 3 year warranty for the entire scooter, is what we were told. Less than 5 months later, the batteries went out. The extra strong batteries we paid for left me sitting at the zoo. My husband is in a wheelchair & getting from the back of the zoo to the front was difficult. We went back to Accessible Systems & they replaced the batteries, but I had to go back to pick the battery pack up. Less than a month later, we were at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo when the batteries, plus a fuse went out. The trolley they have there took us to the front gate so we wouldn't have to walk. We went back to Accessible only to be told the warranty on the batteries was only 6 months. We pointed out when we bought it we were told it was 3 years, front to back. We were misinformed, they advised us. Fine. We have gotten replacement batteries at the local Batteries+. Yesterday, I had to call them as I had a tire melt. Not their fault, but as the local dealer, we thought they would have stock. I was told I would be called back by one of the service techs who would give me prices & a time frame. We are leaving this Friday for our 37th anniversary & my scooter will be going with us. I got the call 2 hours later, being told the wheels were $99.99 each, plus rush shipping & would be at least 2 days before they got them in. I told him my husband had a call into someone else & if I needed them, I would call back. Yesterday we placed an order with Monster Scooter Parts for 2 rear wheels for my scooter with overnight shipping & paid significantly less than the cost of the 2 wheels alone from Accessible. I now have the wheels I need with plenty of time to get them put on before we leave. I will not be going back to Accessible Systems. My husband wants a scooter for himself, but that will be bought somewhere else. read more

Accessible Systems, pure nightmare to work with. To start with, David the bathroom 'expert' couldn't grasp the concept of a walk-in bathtub. The project was started late, apparently because the job before mine was behind schedule. My project also went much longer than promised. As the project progressed, it was discovered that the cabinet was not ordered and it would be a 2-3 week delay to get the proper cabinet. I could go with a different cabinet and not have the delay so I was forced to change what I wanted in order to keep the project, which was already behind schedule moving. Other items that were discussed with the sales rep prior to the job starting also did not get passed along so there were many questions and decisions about what items had to be bought at the time of installation rather than having them picked out ahead of time, or they simply installed the wrong item. The line given was that the project wouldn't start until all the necessary items were received thereby preventing any delays once the project started, pure BS. All this means is that the hours spent with the sales rep ahead of time was simply wasted time. So, while I have a usable bathroom, it is not what I ordered. The headache of dealing with Accessible Systems to fix it is too great. A terrible experience, I would not want to go through again and definitely would not want my friends to go through so I won't be recommending Accessible Systems to anyone. read more
