He provided a consultation for my indoor floors, but then I had him also look at my garage floor and he said he was able to do the work I was looking for, which is what I will be reviewing here today. I had a few cracks in my garage floor and was looking to Epoxy it to protect it for the winter. Dave explained to me his process and how it differs from the competition which helps keep his cost low. The best part about Dave was that he stuck to the quote he gave me, with no surprises or additional ask for money, and he started when he said he would, got the job done quick, and finished when he said he would - anyone who has worked with contractors before knows this is a rarity! Dave was respectful and treated the place with care, and I would recommend his work to others. We think the garage looks great! John was able to meet with me that same week and brought samples for me to choose from. I also wanted a little extra padding under the LVP, which was no problem at all. A few weeks before the project started, I asked if he could also replace all the wood baseboards. He came out that same week to take measurements and promptly provided an updated quote. The pricing was fair, the quality of the work was excellent, and John kept me updated throughout the entire process by sending photos of the flooring installation and hardwood refinishing. The transformation was incredible! At first, I barely recognized my own basement because it looked so completely different. The flooring in our whole upstairs needed replacing (it was impossible to only replace the kitchen flooring without it being noticeable in the dining room and living room). Bob came to our home quickly after we called him so that we could get an estimate to the insurance appraiser. The moving company's insurance didn't cover the cost of depreciation, so Bob spent an hour on the phone to convince the appraiser to lower the depreciation from 30% to 15% -- saving us around $1,200. Because he felt we shouldn't owe anything (the damage was not of our doing), he worked to get the price to within our budget -- without sacrificing the quality of product or service. The floors turned out better than we could have anticipated, and we couldn't be happier. Bob is truly an experienced professional who strives to provide the best for his clients. Our original 16 year old Duffy's hardwood floor had some major warping issues due to a water leak…read moreIn the kitchen . Duffy's spent several days drying the subfloor. They pulled up a number of bad boards, replaced them, then sanded and restained the whole floor. Looked great! Then the warping reappeared. It was not dried properly before the re-install or maybe the boards were not installed properly. Duffy's said they could redo the bad parts but the coloring of the new work might be very noticeably different. We had to choose between the warping or mismatching floor boards. We opted to not do anything for fear of making it worse. Very disappointing.

Margaret was able to get the color we wanted and much better quality carpet than we expected. AND SHE GOT IT FOR US THE VERY NEXT DAY!!! We had gotten our own contractor to install the carpet. Unfortunately, they did a horrific job. It was a huge mess and they left it unfinished. We called Margaret in a panic to see if she had any recommendations for contractors who could complete the installment properly! She went above and beyond what we ever expected! She send her installers to repair the mistakes made by the previous contractor and they even showed up the next day! They did an amazing job and even cleaned up after themselves! We have Brazilian cherry in our kitchen and Brazilian oak through the remainder of the floor. A few years ago we started to notice cracking in the finish of the cherry at very random places. I had Curt come out from Abbey to view it this spring. He took lots of pictures and said it looked like the finish was cracking from the inside and not water damage - It was cracking in areas that never had any water even dripped on it so I knew it wasn't from water damage. Curt said he would check with the manufacturer and get back to me. Well that was months ago and despite me leaving multiple messages with Curt and with the store manager I still have not heard back. "We want you to be satisfied" - I think not. I would not recommend this store if you think you may ever need customer service. Once you have paid for your product you are a forgotten customer. We hired Abbey to install a custom tile shower 6 years ago and after less than 1 year it leaked…read more They attempted a fix but after another 3 years it leaked again. After attempting to call and even a visit to the office no return calls were received. We hired another firm to rip out and replace the shower and found that the installation was completely wrong. As if armatures were doing the installation. We paid Abbey over $8k for the original installation and now we have $4k in fixing their subcontractors crappy work. They use subs for everything who have no skin it the game. Our new installer (a reputable company with a storefront in the community) stated that this was horribly incorrect and it is no wonder it leaked. DO NOT USE ABBEY DECORATING CENTER. BE WARNED!!!
