I found Dave through Yelp and, as usual, I am always a little suspicious of contractors I find through an app but Dave really put my mind at ease once I spoke to him and heard how knowledgeable he was about flooring. He provided a consultation for my indoor floors, but then I had him also look at my garage floor and he said he was able to do the work I was looking for, which is what I will be reviewing here today. I had a few cracks in my garage floor and was looking to Epoxy it to protect it for the winter. Dave explained to me his process and how it differs from the competition which helps keep his cost low. The best part about Dave was that he stuck to the quote he gave me, with no surprises or additional ask for money, and he started when he said he would, got the job done quick, and finished when he said he would - anyone who has worked with contractors before knows this is a rarity! Dave did a great job removing 20 years of product from our living/dining room and family room. I thought the floors were orange, but when he was done, the color was very light and looks brand new! The job was done on time, at the agreed price, and the house was clean and beautiful afterward. Dave refinished the main level floors on a house I just purchased, and I've been getting compliments ever since. People who saw the floors before his work are especially impressed. All the blemishes and gunk are gone. I chose Dave for the his competitive price and his dedication to low VOC finishes, but I also came away with a top quality job. The sellers had the upstairs floors refinished by another company just before selling, and the contrast between the workmanship is stark. (Nonetheless, the other company charged significantly more.) I only wish I could have hired Dave to do the whole house. His price was very reasonable and the work was done quickly. I am 100% impressed w/ Dave's work. 1st: I had VERY damaged parquet floor. I personally thought it was hopeless. I contacted over 10 companies. Parquet floors apparently are "out of fashion," and difficult to do. So, no one EXCEPT Dave would even come look. A few wanted photos, so I sent them. Everyone EXCEPT Dave said it was too much damage, they had no experience w/ parquet, or tried to pressure me into just covering it w/ planks of lino, etc. Dave not only agreed to do it, he KNOWS how to work w/ parquet. I hired him and am still amazed w/ the quality of work that he does! WOW! My floor is gorgeous! Dave is truly a wood refinishing expert; he clearly knows what he is doing. Dave has NEVER (X6) shown up at the agreed upon appointment time. Dave is proud of his methods, loves to tell you all about it, over and over. Dave talks a lot. Our carpet is always cleaner when he is finished than when he arrived. Dave used our toilet/bathroom without asking. (toilet seat left up...) Dave has left his trash in our garbage bin, without asking. Dave has left his empty plastic bottles in our recycling bin without asking. Dave has emptied the dirty water from his truck onto our front sidewalk at least twice!! I'm not sure why it took me so long, but I am done with Dave.
