This has been a long time coming- we started planning our back yard upgrades over a year ago and the ideas kept morphing until we came to the conclusion that we should just replace and expand our existing lanai. We looked at several companies- reviews are harsh for most, but Lifetime is also a advertising king! Radio and all the local coupon guides. So we went into the showroom and scheduled to have a salesperson come out. I have to look up when that was- I think it was May.... We went back and forth on size and costs and finally had a plan, signed the contracts- the original estimate was 4-6 months, but they thought it would be done in October or November depending on how long it took for HOA and City Permits to clear. Hoa was fast, City approved in September and I was stoked- yay, it would be done soon. Ha-ha. Not really. It took a while to get the demo done, then waited for concrete- the inspection for that was super fast! But then I had to wait for a team to be ready to install the lanai. That was a wait- after Thanksgiving we finally had some movement and the majority of the work was done a little over a week from Christmas. We had another company come out and epoxy the new concrete extension (the original had already be done before we decided on this crazy project. This review is a little premature- as it is not 100% finished. We are still waiting on the hose pass-through, we are getting 2 installed. Lifetime also said something about waiting on gutters, but we thought everything was installed....so, hmmm. Once the finish, another inspector will be sent out to survey everything. So far I am loving the work. The one thing they could improve on is communication- more touching base to update us on timeline. This took longer than quoted. It will supposedly be finished up next week, after the new year. I am very happy with my new porch, I've already moved my furniture back in and hung patio lights and decor. We are just waiting on the finishing details. I would recommend, with the warning that you may want to be proactive in the communication part. read more

Signed a $36000 contract 3 months ago for an enclosed lanai. Permit has been ready for sometime but evidently the only person in charge of the project is on an extended vacation in Europe and nothing can be done until he returns. Really poor to non-existent communication. We are ready to walk away from a sizable deposit and start over with a more dependable company. We were able to build a house from scratch in the same amount of time they anticipate to enclose the lanai. very disappointed thus far. read more

So far good...nice display of here of screened and enclosed patios to see. Sales rep was very personable and informative. They will travel a bit to build and no charge to come and give estimate! Now we don't know the cost but that's the next step! Will update as we go. 11/1 so a sales man came out to give us an estimate for putting screen over our existing deck. We were concerned when prices were all over the place.. starting very high and as time ticked on..the prices dropped. Felt a bit like a car salesman..ugh! He was persistent but we said we had to get other estimates. We have since then and are going with another company; a salesman who stayed on topic, was able to explain what they'd do, could start as soon as permits were pulled and were several thousand dollars better in pr 1/2/20 After having several screen enclosure companies out to give us ideas and prices we have decided to go with this company. One good reason is they built a screen on our house that has been standing for over 30 years! We did have to negotiate about price but feel we got a fair price! Construction complwill take up to 16 weeks..ugh..but that's the permitting way! 6/11/2020 Well it finally happened! They put up our screened enclosure on an existing deck! Gavin and Brian did an excellent job! I didn't know all metal parts were manufactured off site, then these two guys had the blue prints and their job was...PUT IT TOGETHER! Wow..they worked hard and in just 3.5 days they were done! The space looks much bigger with the visual of walls instead of just a deck! We look forward to the fan being put in and doing the floor (probably us. ) then getting the right furniture so we have a mosquito free room to enjoy! read more

Spend close to $20k for our glassed in enclosure st the beginning of 2024 and they can't seem to get it right, I still have leaks in a corner of the liani, they have removed screens for repairs numerous times and it takes weeks to get them back. I am currently waiting close to a month. Calls to the supervisor of service go unanswered , operators never call back. This company is the worse when it comes to service repairs. Complaint has been filed with the better business bureau as well. read more

We had thee most phenomenal experience with the consistently communicating with us Customer Service at Lifetime Enclosures to the ultimate install done just today 3/16/23! Duane, their rep. that came out to give us a quote, was so personable, attentive to what we explained we were looking to achieve in our Patio space and just down right professional to the 100th degree! He was put through a few changes to our initial request, but maintained a genuinely helpful attitude that had us decide to go with his company vs. two others we were considering. :0) Danny, our Project Mgr., has kept us in the loop and informed on each next step in the process from the HOA decision through purchasing the materials...to the call to install. William Hott was the Fabulously Skilled Contractor that arrived today (alone for the work to be done-that had us questioning the possibility of getting the job done in a timely manner). To our surprise, that young man, with his pleasant demeanor--paced to finish our job in 1 day (9-4) did exactly that! His steadfast work ethic was so clearly demonstrated by his quality craftsmanship, and his conscientious performance on every detail of the install. Wow! The finished product truly exceeded our expectations on what our Patio would look like! The door..."can we talk?" It's even more stunning, actually in place, than the photo made it look.:0) Will left our property looking clean, tidy and exactly the way he found it. 2 stars review is too much for this company . I close the business if I could and send them to jail. They promise my Lenai enclosure in 5 months time all glass . They do it in a year time cost me extra permits from the county and many tears arguing over the phone . When I told them I will get a lawyer they run to my place and do a very poor Lenai . The county reject the inspection and took me almost a year and half to finish it . Open your eyes people read my story and select a better company . Many tears in the process for a Lenai that I don't even like low quality . read more

Lifetime was recommended by our neighbors. We contracted with Lifetime in January 2022 and we were told we were looking at an Aug-Sept start date. The work started in November due to some contract issues. Lifetime was not organized and didn't seem to know what was going on each time we reached out to them. Lots of confusion. The contract had some blank areas that should have been completed when it was signed. The piece of the process from contract to the start was very frustrating. We suggest that you make sure your t's are crossed and i's dotted when you sign the contract. Ask alot of questions to ensure nothing is left to chance. With that being said, Gavin and Brian were the installers and they were excellent! They told us everyday what they were going to do and then again at the end of the day they walked us through what was completed. The installation was awesome and the finished enclosure is wonderful and we are enjoying it. read more

We had a very specific job that needed to be done which involved changing part of our lanai, plus adding a different roof to part of it. The design and engineering team at Lifetime Enclosure were great to work with. They took my plans and converted then to the drawings they needed, got all the permits, and the finished job looks great! Will and Nick, the installers, did great job and were fun to work with. The area was spotless when they left. This entire process took a long time because of the permitting, but they kept us informed through the entire process. read more

We gave them three stars, one for each worker who actually did the project. It took 11 months and one week from the signing of the contract ( eta was 4-6 months) to complete a 20 x 15 solid ceiling lanai. One of the worst places in Jacksonville. We were promised a beautiful screen room and roof that didn't leak. After sending the beginners crew to assemble, we had nothing but problems for over 7 months. Thank god i called the finance company to put stop payment on any further financing, otherwise we would have never received any additional services. Even having the owner, Jeff Brewer come out was useless. It still took 3 more visits to fix the leaks. Very shoddy work and business. Would NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR ANY WORK..BUYER BEWARE!!!!!! read more

We signed our contract to have windows installed on our screened porch on March 4, 2021. Here we are Jan 4, 2022 and they still are not finished. It isn't even a large porch. We were told May, then June then July so on and so on. Finally the windows came in and guess what they didn't fit. Of course it wasn't their fault. They tell you they will be there and then they don't show. No phone call...nothing. We have taken time of work and they don't show up till hours later. This is a cash deal. We were left with openings after we had taken the screens out the day before the windows were due to be put in. We don't hear from them unless we contact them for an update. We had to have them put plastic up to keep the bugs out. So disappointed. So upset over this. read more

I have contact this business twice about a screened enclosure and also visited the showroom. On the phone they were not very friendly either, but did give a ballpark price range. I called a few months after my first call and it was brought that they already talked to me. I knew more details and specifics of what I wanted. This time the price was significantly higher. In the showroom the sales/marketing guys were very friendly and helpful. The "representative" had an appointment coming up, but had a couple minutes for me to look over my pictures and measurement. He gave me a ballpark price range $10-20k, but said it prob wouldn't be $20k. That's a large price range, I had $10k and they might have made a sale. When I said I didn't know if I had enough money saved, he might have just wanted to get rid of me since I was a walk in (no appointment). He was as unfriendly as the woman on the phone had been both times. Thankfully, I won't be doing business with them. The sales/marketing guys were VERY nice, had masks on (as did I). The rep came in with no mask and said.......oh he's "supposed to" do a fist bump (it was such an effort apparently). Even for a few minutes he could have put on a mask. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! We signed contract on January 2, 2018. Projected 12-16 weeks to complete. They lie to sell you anything and over charge you in square footage!!! We had a 12x16 screen top enclosure (bird cage) around our hot tub, glass enclosed our existing screen room. We were going to put tile down on the glass enclosed area, but was told the acrylic was SO much better than tile and less expensive! We purchased four areas to be done in acrylic. Ultimate Surfaces started work on March 12 and finished on the 17th. They did a great job even though they couldn't do the patio in the swirl pattern that we wanted, and was shown in gray on display at showroom, because that area isn't their work!!!! On March 27th Lifetime started work. They finally in their opinion was done with the job on May 3rd. Today May 11th Ultimate Surfaces is back fixing all the areas that Lifetime messed up by their carelessness. I have a very long list of stuff that wasn't done right by Lifetime, the biggest one is screen enclosure was done in WHITE even though CONTRACT CLEARLY states BRONZE!!!!! Basically here it is and if you don't like it oh well, so unless we hire a lawyer and go to court which means more money we are stuck with a job that's not as contracted!!!!! read more

He spent 45 min with us talking, measuring our Lanai and telling us how great Life Time enclosures are, how professional and how their work is superior. We we're interested! Ready to buy it! The installers are great, however, the office personnel seem not to care. The failure to return calls or get ahead of failed promises not to mention the lack of concern. My screen enclosure was installed by Lifetime Enclosure in 1993. It has survived 3 major hurricanes but was starting to show signs of salt oxidation around the frame screws because stainless steel screws were not available when the enclosure was made. The Lifetime Enclosures service person, Lee, was able to replace rusted screws and strengthen the frame attachment to the cement floor at a reasonable price. He was on time for appointments to give an estimate and do the repair with stainless steel screws. I was very pleased to know that Lifetime Enclosures could repair such old work. read more

The project Managers do not coordinate with other subcontractors. They are 4 weeks past completion date in contract and no idea when they will be done. read more

this company is a joke. Great used car salesman painted a pretty picture. no communication from within the office to us unless we contacted them. 13 week project that didn't even start until week 16. Concrete slab for the enclosure was rippled and wavy. had to have them come back out to grind level enough to lay enclosure level. We DO NOT recommend ever using this company. Their salesman is only too happy to take a deposit, promise a completion date for the project and then the customer sits and waits, and waits, AND waits. Contract signed in January of this year and the project was just completed last week of Nov. Office staff was combative, rude and then uncommunicative. Jim Briar, tried to short-change many of the things that the salesman had promised and in the end, the only leverage a customer has is to withhold payment. This has been the most frustrating project to date that we have taken on. We won't know if the construction is even sturdy until we actually go through a storm. Keeping our fingers crossed because I will never work with these people again. read more

They have serious problems with production and time lines. I actually called the ops guy and he admitted that. My contract was for 8-10 weeks. It took 15 weeks to build a 10x 16 enclosure. I will try to keep this short but the list of issues is rather long. They say they will show up...and don't. When they do show up you have about a 60% chance that they will stay. I had several days where they would show up at the door just to say they were getting their tools and going to someone else's job. My existing screen room was getting vinyl windows installed. Once they finally showed up, the technician said it would take about 2 1/2 days to complete. It took 3 MONTHS. They were supposed to order a section of gutter...and didn't (extra time added). They were supposed to order bug sweeps for the new doors...and didn't (an extra 3 weeks added). I highly recommend that you stay away from Lifetime. However, if you decide you must use them be prepared for long delays and no communication. read more

Okay, what happened to Lifetime Enclosures? They used to be very responsive. Now, just to get someone to look at the structure they installed for repairs takes 2 weeks to get them out here! And that's not even repairing it! That's just to inspect it and see what they can do! They need to hire more people. This is outrageous. Be careful using this company!!! I had read several reviews that stated that it was slow in getting started. This is true, but the real clincher is the contract!! Be careful!! We had 5 estimates and they were persistent in wanting to come several times. THey gave us the estimate for what we thought was replacing the screen enclosure that was already there with a new glass wall. We chose white. The bronze was there with the screens. They NEVER explained that what they wanted to do was cut out the screens on the frame, and replace that with windows!! Considering our $10,000 estimate. we NEVER thought that was what they had in mind. They never explained that to us. Currently we are sueing them for $4,000 that we gave as a deposit. THey have NOT been forthcoming with the money. I would NOT reccoment this company no matter how cheap!!! THey LIED to us!! read more
