My husband needed eye surgery and it was done that day. Great doctor and all of the staff were amazing. Hubby is doing a lot better.

I am thankful for the entire experience.

I have been seeing Dr. Hanson for the last 10+ years and have been very pleased with his surgery…read moreskills as well as diagnosing/treating my various problems. My issues ranged from: blurry vision (various times and reasons) cataracts, macular hole in each eye, macular degeneration, and having a STROKE in my eye during the stroke. I want to take a moment to tell you, you can have a stroke in your eye. I had never heard this. My other problem was I had no other signs of a stroke so I was going to wait another day to see if it would get better. I waited an hour and a half before calling the office to see if I could see the doctor. After all, what could he do. He determined I was having a stroke right now (although I felt fine just couldn't see out of the right eye). He told me to go straight to ER and he would call ahead and let them know what was happening. I was rushed in and given the vital injection need and then was air flighted to Spokane. Unfortunately, I lost the vision in my right eye, but the immediate action he took helped the clot from moving through the rest of my body. DO NOT WAIT. Conclusion: Dr Hanson is skilled in all these areas and I could not have asked for better doctor for my eyes. His staff from the receptionists to the tech staff are skilled, professional, and friendly. They all have supported me with their caring.

Disaster struck when I felt a piece of debris in my eye after a long bike ride. I'm just passing…read morethrough Idaho and don't know where to go. A quick look to the Yellow Pages finds Dr. David B. Leach FACS and his Clearview Eye Clinic. I call at 9:30 AM hoping they can fit me in. A friendly receptionist answers and tells us the day is busy as it is surgery day, but they will try. We arrive at a very nice building in Lewiston, Idaho. The receptionist asks us to complete a form and immediately recognizes I am in pain. She quickly finds a nurse who administers anesthetic drops within minutes of my arrival. I don't have my insurance card on me, so they call the billing department to help sort it out. I wait for perhaps 30 minutes, all the while patients are entering and exiting in good spirits. We hear that Dr. Leach is one of the top 50 ophthalmologists in the nation (someone else says top 10). I am brought into an exam room and my visual acuity is checked and a basic history taken by the technician. Dr. Leach then enters, introduces himself and shakes my hand. He listens to me. He assesses my injury and offers his advice on the next step. Within minutes, he assures there is no remaining debris and places a soft contact to allow the eye to heal. My pain went from intolerable to gone. He answers all of my questions. He assures me if I have any other concerns to call his office or return for a reexamination. I am an emergency physician and I have consulted many an ophthalmologist. Dr. Leach and his staff at Clearview Eye Clinic are certainly among the best in the nation. If I lived anywhere within a 200 mile radius and needed an expert in the field, Clearview Eye Clinic is where I would go.

Prompt and friendly. They got my husband and I back simultaneously which saved a longer wait…read more Very nice.

Apparently, Vision Source decided to cancel my appointment without talking to me. Preferring to tell me in person that I am too poor to be seen there. Was it fun to try to humiliate me in person with a haughty attitude when I asked why I couldn't just pay cash for my appointment? I was also refused the possibility of rescheduling my appointment, because "their system was down." What an incredibly condescending and horrible experience. I was just trying to get my eyes examined so I could have surgery. I was the victim of extreme domestic violence- I have a complicated case and partial blindness. It's hard to get up the courage to go to an eye doctor to have my trauma addressed. Prepare to be humiliated and treated poorly by office staff if you have had any domestic violence related injury. I walked out of that office bawling, in tears, after finding out that my appointment had been cancelled. What a horrific experience.

So we adjusted the lenses and changed out the frame style as well. Well a week goes by and I haven't heard from them abt my glasses at all. I call in and find out the frames came in but for two days they sat in their office without any word to me to come in and measure them out for comfort and precision. I go in get tht done and here it is another week and still no word abt when lenses will be ready. Paid in full and after a full 5weeks. Still no product. A little pissed off because this was my second option for glasses and now I'm wondering why I don't stay with valley vision instead. Hoping my glasses are in this week so I can see better the ever!!
