My issues ranged from: blurry vision (various times and reasons) cataracts, macular hole in each eye, macular degeneration, and having a STROKE in my eye during the stroke. I want to take a moment to tell you, you can have a stroke in your eye. I had never heard this. My other problem was I had no other signs of a stroke so I was going to wait another day to see if it would get better. I waited an hour and a half before calling the office to see if I could see the doctor. After all, what could he do. He determined I was having a stroke right now (although I felt fine just couldn't see out of the right eye). He told me to go straight to ER and he would call ahead and let them know what was happening. I was rushed in and given the vital injection need and then was air flighted to Spokane. Unfortunately, I lost the vision in my right eye, but the immediate action he took helped the clot from moving through the rest of my body. DO NOT WAIT. Conclusion: Dr Hanson is skilled in all these areas and I could not have asked for better doctor for my eyes. His staff from the receptionists to the tech staff are skilled, professional, and friendly. They all have supported me with their caring.

Leach FACS and his Clearview Eye Clinic. I call at 9:30 AM hoping they can fit me in. A friendly receptionist answers and tells us the day is busy as it is surgery day, but they will try. We arrive at a very nice building in Lewiston, Idaho. The receptionist asks us to complete a form and immediately recognizes I am in pain. She quickly finds a nurse who administers anesthetic drops within minutes of my arrival. I don't have my insurance card on me, so they call the billing department to help sort it out. I wait for perhaps 30 minutes, all the while patients are entering and exiting in good spirits. We hear that Dr. Leach is one of the top 50 ophthalmologists in the nation (someone else says top 10). I am brought into an exam room and my visual acuity is checked and a basic history taken by the technician. Dr. Leach then enters, introduces himself and shakes my hand. He listens to me. He assesses my injury and offers his advice on the next step. Within minutes, he assures there is no remaining debris and places a soft contact to allow the eye to heal. My pain went from intolerable to gone. He answers all of my questions. He assures me if I have any other concerns to call his office or return for a reexamination. I am an emergency physician and I have consulted many an ophthalmologist. Dr. Leach and his staff at Clearview Eye Clinic are certainly among the best in the nation. If I lived anywhere within a 200 mile radius and needed an expert in the field, Clearview Eye Clinic is where I would go.

In the time between the right and left eye surgeries I really had a chance to see what it was all about. Putting drops in my eyes and looking at our really white ceiling in our house the ceiling was really white, closing that eye and looking only through the left, everything looked as though I was seeing through a glass of really dark bourbon. Walking out side I was really seeing the difference in the color of the flowers. What a treat, I can ever read without glasses, and can pass the drivers test as not needing glasses. Then the receptionist tells me which doctor I wanted and mentioned Dr. Wagner as a first option so I opt that my two kids and I be seen by Dr. Wagner. Then here's the catch: the receptionist asks you a bunch of MEDICAL questions and current meds you're on and Dr. Wagner will then "DECIDE" if he will see us?! WHAT IN THE HEALTH CARE WORLD?! I was shocked by her statement and received a call two days later saying that Dr. Wagner decline to "care" or see my kids and I. BRAVO, DR. WAGNER! I bet denying and getting to pick and chose who you want to see makes you feel better about yourself as a practicing doctor who took the Hippocratic oath LIKE ALL DOCTORS DO and now that you're a "big time Dr" in a small town that oath DOES NOT apply to you. This clinic and how they run is truly unbelievable! They called me a few days later REPEATEDLY to let me know another available doctor in their clinic is willing to see me and my children. YEAH.....NO! You may think you are the "it" clinic in WW, but I managed to get myself and my children a good family doctor in WW and could care less about you offering up your next doctor. Walla Walla clinic I truly appreciate the laughs. Now from what I'm reading, Dr. Wagner isn't that great of a doctor anyway so, thank you for denying myself and my two children care! The grass IS IN FACT greener on the other side, folks! Don't settle for WW clinic and their bs stipulations or being "judged" by a Dr before being seen and waiting to see if a doctor will deny or approve to see you!! There are PLENTY OF doctors in WW that are better and not part of this bs scheme WW clinic has enforced! Just do your research and you'll find a fabulous doctor like I have!
