Highly disappointing and unprofessional behavior directly from Trudy Sharp, Nurse Practitioner versus having a more 'customer service' focused response from Total Care Clinic's Office Manager regarding the same complaint I have brought to TCC's billing department's attention over the years to no avail.
I started seeing Tyler when TCC got up and running in Walla Walla at the Dalles Military location some years back. Service was stellar and billing was squared away. It wasn't until the TCC medical office moved to Rose St. that my billing issues started.
I have repeatedly brought it to TCC attention via the billing department. Every year I am told by the billing department that they are not at fault, rather the medical provider's team back at the Walla Walla location is who communicates these billing codes to them. Each year it becomes a source of contention where I have needed to get my insurance company involved to have this correction take place. Otherwise there is no change, I get stuck with the bill and well neither TCC or Interpath (the lab) give me the time of day for resolve.
I get it, patients and insurance companies have no say on how medical providers bill. However, if I am showing up for preventative care and my latest visit with them are coded as such to the insurance company, is it too much to expect to have the bloodwork as a result of my yearly physical be coded accordingly? Especially since it has been a recurring problem that has had to have been corrected each year thus far? Instead of dismissing me as problematic and insatiable under notes on my account, perhaps a closer look at my incessant complaint would have produced a prompt and professional resolve years back and saved everyone this hassle.
TCC has had a lot of turnaround at the Walla Walla location. So when I singled out Irma and Patty it was because TCC's billing department stated they were the ones at the helm of this reoccurring problem this time around. But to be fair I understand that it isn't about Irma or Patty rather whatever system/process TCC has in place. Because it does not matter who was/is at the Front Desk or the Medical Assistant in place or even my medical provider, this issue has happened under every person that has been there while I've been a patient; to reiterated it is a recurring yearly issue.
Needless to say I once again ended up with an unnecessary bill from my labs this year which did have to get corrected again, this time by Trudy. But not until I got my insurance company involved and after she sent a short email stating to look for healthcare elsewhere versus addressing my complaint.
All this being said it is disappointing to me that instead of trying to resolve this problem, with full understanding and professionalism of the complaint. Trudy decided to not understand and instead react prematurely (as she was wrong and did have to correct the error). Leaving much to be desired from a medical provider.
If you're looking for a medical provider, pick any of the other Nurse Practitioners at TCC. Trudy is classist, biased and thereby unprofessional. Tyler is the way to go. read more
