I received a call in January of 2021 informing me that there had been a "readjustment of my bill" from two years ago and that I now owed additional funds to them despite paying my copay in full back in 2019. The Elmenhurst employee, Julie, with whom I spoke claimed that i needed to take the issue up with my insurance company (who I haven't been covered under since 2019) and that my only other recourse was to file a complaint with the Washington State Insurance Commissioner. She also indicated that this was now considered an outstanding medical bill and there would be financial ramifications if not paid. I asked what was to keep her from calling and doing this again in the future based off the same bill and she said there was nothing stopping them and that If that was a concern to again file a complaint with my former insurer or the state insurance commissioner. If you want to spend the rest of your life getting charged for the same chiropractor appointment then Elemnhurst is the place to go.
