Zero stars if possible. Like the people below, I was also approached by Lifeline, advertised as a company taking over Vivint in my local area. As I saw that my neighbor moved forward, so did I. Lifeline in fact was not taking over for my current provider, but instead was poaching customers. Lifeline used my signature for a technician appointment to fill out a contract and credit pull (due to it being a digital signature). In the end, I had my Vivint equipment stolen, Alula equipment (from Lifeline) partially installed, a service contract I didn't agree too, $4000 in equipment I didn't ask for, and more. I am still paying my monthly to Vivint tho my equipment was stolen. Lifeline customer service is unprofessional; if you can even get them to respond on their text service. If you are approached by this vendor, turn the other way, and deny them. If possible, get the representatives information and hope you can report them. Too bad I cannot give NEGATIVE stars!! This company is a total scam! Richard the field rep for south jersey came door to door selling security systems. Stating they could beat our already installed Vivant system. With Vivant we be owned two outdoor cameras, 1 indoor camera and a door bell camera. We switched to lifeline. 1. Their installers did a horrible job installing. They had to come out 3 times to me and my neighbor. 2. They took all of OUR Vivant equipment! Claiming they sent it to Vivant. WE OWNED those camera's 3. They have poor customer service. It's hard to get hold of a live person. 4. They send us a bill for 4 grand for cameras !! Which were supposed to be free because we changed over! Why would we spend 4 grand when we already had a system? 5. We NEVER signed the agreement it is still in my possession. It is nearly impossible to get a live person! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! Especially in south jersey area! I don't know about anywhere else. read more

Run away. Run away as fast as you can. These guys are terrible from the start. I cannot say from start to finish because they haven't completed the installation yet. Impossible to cancel the contract because the contract contains a non-existent Corporate HQ. The office address is a virtual office (DaVinci), and LifeLine no longer has a lease with them. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I was approached by them as I was walking out of my house about their security system. They saw I already had one with another company, asked how much I paid etc. they said they can take my equipment that I have with VIVINT and give me their equipment for a much lower cost of & $36 a month. I was told I could cancel at anytime and that I wasn't in a contract. Fast forward to the installation, they install a doorbell, motion sensors and back camera. My current front door lock was apparently not compatible with their System so they were suppose to replace it which they never did. They were also suppose to add another camera near my driveway which they never did. I tried contacting them through phone, email etc with. I response for weeks and weeks. The main panel was not working after the first day. I also found out I was still getting billed through VIVINT. Finally, yesterday I was able to reach out to customer service via text which they were extremely unprofessional. I explained all the issues I had, how my old equipment was taken with the promise of it being paid off, my bill from lifeline was 4x the amount I was told and the issues I was having with the equipment. They told me to "refer to your contract for any answers you need" and that "our technicians do not take your property so your old equipment was not taken by us". So then was it stolen? Because they clearly took it all down and took it with them. I am so angry, I got no help and now I'm still stuck with two bills from two company's and equipment that doesn't even WORK!!! This company is a scam. Their representatives lie and misrepresented themselves as working for vivint. They came to my home on 7/11/2020, explained they were their to upgrade my current vivint system at no cost to me. I explained I did not really want to upgrade but the woman was insistent, stating my panel was not compatible with the newest technology (it is over 4 years old) and since there was going to be no cost to me, why not? After I let her and her "trainee" in, her "boss" shows up. Their badges & suv resembled vivint's, down to the orange logo on the suv. They "checked" my panel and said it needed to be switched out due to 5G compatibility and while they were there, they would also switch out my doorbell camera as well. All of my equipment was over 4 years old. I was insistent that I did not want to sign any contracts/agreements and was told it would be no problem. The boss was wearing a shirt that had a lifeline logo and when I asked about it, he stated lifeline was working with vivint as sort of a monitoring co-partner. They made small talk with me and my mom while there, confirmed my banking information, address, how long I had been with vivint (15+ years), etc. They had me sign a statement on a tablet stating they were there at my home for an upgrade, nothing else. They stated their techs were at another install a couple doors down but would be at my house within a 1/2 hour and left. The techs arrived and I explained I was not real comfortable with the situation - something felt off - Jerry Simlech (?), the main tech, called the boss guy, Brandon on his cell and explained I was wanting to change my mind. He had me talk to Brandon. I explained I was not comfortable with the entire situation - he said he understood but it was only upgrading my equipment to better handle the 5G internet at no cost/contract and not to worry. Jerry explained he was out of panels, but would be back within a couple of days to install a new panel. They switched out my doorbell camera, attached a modem to my wireless cable modem, switched out my garage door monitor and had me install the alula app on my phone - I had the vivint one prior to this and left. Fast forward to middle of August - still have never came back to install the new panel (can't reach Jerry or anyone about the it) and I get 2 separate billing statements from a company called Fortiva, 1 for $3000 in my name and 1 for $2000 in my mom's name. My mom is only a user on my account. I called the company and am told it is for my new security equipment. I cannot get any information from them. The description on the billing statement is HOMEPAY OREM UT - nothing when you google it but a nanny service. I finally get in touch with a person at alula who is able to tell me they sell security equipment and are able to see they sold equipment to lifeline and provides me a phone # and email. When you call the number, if someone answers, you have to tell them why you are calling and they have someone get back with you through text message - they call it their business line - it is bs. I explained how I was lied to - the whole situation and was basically told there was nothing they could do, I had signed a contract. Never signed a contract - only signed stating they were at my home. Their customer service is terrible. I am now disputing the charges through Fortiva but doubt it will do any good. When I explained to lifeline the panel was never replaced, I was told they would set up an appointment to come out and replace it - I don't want it!! They did not care and would not help. They didn't care my mom has a $2000 charge she never signed for - STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! read more
