The bigger issue here is the system itself. Our health insurance landscape has become so chaotic and unpredictable that both patients and providers end up caught in the crossfire. Went to Urgent Care the next day, diagnosed as Calcific Tendinitis in my shoulder and sent me to orthopedic doc who gave me a must -do exercises, PT referral and said use ibuprofen, Tylenol and ice, and expect it to cure itself in 6-8 weeks. PT said, no exercise and to leave it alone for a few weeks and ice it and work on my posture. ? Needless to say, conflicting info, and to not be able to work (type), sleep or drive for 6-8 weeks?!! I was tired and frustrated and went to The Joint in Gold River hoping for some relief. From the moment I walked in they helped me with the forms, I could not write, or do all other things that required my hand/arm. Dr. Brisbane, said he wasn't sure how much he could help with the pain, but he could help with mobility. He did a few adjustments and the very next day my arm mobility went from none to halfway to shoulder-height and the pain was isolated to only my shoulder. Two days after FIRST appointment, I went back, even he was shocked at the quick improvement. Each visit brought better arm mobility and less pain. By the following week I was sore but had total mobility. My Christmas was saved! Now, I know the calcification heals itself, but I am convinced the docs at The Joint sped up this process and definitely got all surrounding pain, from muscles/joints compensating for my shoulder, under control. If you are having joint/muscle pain consider these guys as part of your treatment.

They are the type of place I think of when people say "If you're a hammer, every problem is treated as a nail" If you have a pain of whatever sort, it will be treated with an adjustment regardless of what is actually needed.
