I'd give zero stars if i could, where to begin…read more.. 1. There's no direct line, so you have to call the 1-800 number and wait on hold for 10-15 minutes just to be redirected to the "lab/clinic" you need. 2. I called 10 times, waiting on hold 10-15 minutes each time just to get a voice mail that says "if you cancelling an appointment, leave your name and appointment time, no voicemail messages will be responded to". So i can't leave a message and get a call back??? who does crap like this. So then i have to hangup and try again later. 3. So after 10 failed call attempts i end up just driving the 20 minutes to the lab, to be told that i can't make an appointment in person i have to call the phone number to make it. So i explain to the lady that i'm only here because nobody answers the phone. So she dials the number for me, and i get the same voicemail again. She also said that the lab is moving to Toronto so they might not be taking new appointments. How disorganized is this place?? She said i'd have to wait a few minutes until she has time to go to the back and talk to the actual lab people who answer that phone (the people at the front apparently don't do that). Ten minutes later she gets through and i'm able to make my appointment for anytime i want it (apparently they aren't really that busy) 4. So i went back for my appointment and luckily i asked for the code to get the results online, because apparently they don't print off the code unless you ask. (really?) 5. Now i'm trying to get my results online, but I have to create an account (i can't just enter the unique code they gave me) so i created my account but i can't confirm my registration because they haven't mailed me the confirmation link yet (it's been 5+ hours) 6. So i emailed customer service and they responded the next day and said they have no record that i created an account (that's not reassuring). So i creates it again and this time it worked and i could get my results. This process was an exercise in frustration. I'll be looking for a more customer friendly lab in the future.

I've been using Dynacare Labs. near my home for decades and they've always been TERRIFIC…read more Had to go to this (different) location today to hand in a routine medical specimen: 1. Was told that my doctor had not given me the correct paperwork. Had to call my doctor's office, only to find out that the paperwork I submitted was accurate (AFTER the lady on the desk checked with her colleagues). WTF. 2. I asked if I had to pay for the test. She said "no", then asked a colleague who said "yes". Okaaaaay. 3. I handed her my card, assumed she was swiping it (couldn't see beneath the counter top), she handed me back my card and said I needed to pay. WHAT. I thought I just did. No, that's done by someone else. 4. Constant, incessant interruptions by her colleagues left me waiting and waiting and waiting. Finally, I had enough and suggested she focus on completing my transaction to which I received a mouthful and to which I responded accordingly. They need to train their front-line staff AND they need an additional person on the front desk. All I wanted to do was hand in a specimen and it took waaaaaay longer than it should have with a lot of aggro. Go to another Dynacare if you can. This place is atypical of Dynacare's usual high standards.

However - EVERY time I have gone to Dynacare and had my blood taken by Cristina, the Lab Technician, whatever magic or needle sorcery she does - it's painless and over in seconds. And she has consistently taken it quickly and painlessly over the couple years I have gone, is always calm and pleasant, and puts me at ease telling me stories or jokes. Thank you Cristina for making my worst nightmare actually MORE than tolerable now : ) Lisa P
