After 11 years I have had it. How can a fitness center have a woman's locker room without a functioning scale??? Constantly. If you can't get the blasted thing fixed run down the street to Target and buy one for thirty bucks. It is not acceptable and there is no excuse for not having a functioning scale in the women's locker room. The steam room functions maybe 50% of the time. It's 90° in the pool area. I have had it. You have lots of competition and I'm shopping. read more

I was a member at Life Time for over a year. While I was there the gym was fine, facilities were always clean, I was always able to get a machine and had no complaints to speak of. It was pretty overpriced ($60 a month vs. $30 for nearly every other gym in Columbus). But, for what it offered it was probably worth a little more. I moved away from Columbus over a year ago and finally got around to canceling my membership in July of 2011 (I was a procrastinator, it happens). Around November I looked at my credit card statement and saw a charge from Life Time. I was sort of confused, but I checked my billing statements and they had continued charging me for months after July. I immediately notified my bank, who researched the issue, charged back the last 4 months worth of charges and notified Life Time to discontinue charging my account. I'm not sure what happened with my original cancelation--but my bank resolved it easily and I had no worries at that point. 3 months later I received notification from Life Time that my bill is now almost $200 and 90 days past due. Why they (again) ignored notification to cancel my account is beyond me. I've filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and will--obviously--never waste my time, money or energy with a Life Time fitness again. I suggest everyone else do the same. read more

Never get a pedicure here!!! It was terrible!!! No calluses removed, polish left around the edges & heels left rough.... Pathetic....

VERY BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES!!!!! Our family joined Lifetime fitness in Dublin in April 2016. We used the club often over the summer and my two daughters did weekly swim lessons. Upon the end of the summer (August 2016) I emailed the head of aquatics to officially cancel our swim lessons (as per required policy) because the girls would be back in school and their lessons were in the middle of the day. I was charged for 4 more months of swim lessons to the tune of $1,200. I had tried to call several times, left messages with several different people over those 4 months. Sometimes there would be a promise of an immediate call back but nothing. Finally in December of 2016 I went into the club and demanded to speak with someone. I spoke with a client services manager who still could not do anything about the aquatics charges because that had to go through the aquatics department and she was not available. At this time I cancelled my membership (or so I thought) and was promised a call from the aquatics manager. It took me calling 3 more times before I actually spoke to the aquatics manager. First she said the email was unclear (it literally stated the date of the last class they would be attending) but then admitted there had been a mistake and offered a credit to which I said we have cancelled our membership a credit for what. She finally agreed to refund the $1,200 charged. Fast forward to October 2017 and I notice that my credit card is being charged membership services to Lifetime to the tune of $160 a month for the last 4 months. I called to find out what is exactly going on and was told my account was not cancelled but put on hold for a 9 month period with automatic activation. This is nothing I would have agreed to especially considering the circumstances when I cancelled. In order to cancel a membership you must go into a Lifetime in person but they can reactivate your account without an in person meeting?????? I would love to know how much they have fleeced customers out of with these business practices. When I spoke to the Manager for the October 2017 charges I was told they have very high business practices and that I had received emails that the account would be reactivated. I had moved their emails to spam after the December 2016 incident and cancellation (or so I thought) of my account. They should not be able to reactivate someones account without written permission at the time of reactivation. read more

Please let your outdoor pool lifeguards know that they need to follow your own rules. Just witnessed a big argument when lifeguard (an African American girl) was letting father and 2 kids jump and splash in the area where the sign stated 18 or older. Manager came and they left, but it does not have to be like this,do not wait until people start to complain,it is lifeguards job to keep members safe and keep an order, because it's very disrespectful to the members, especially older people who just want to be in this small leisure area. read more

Great gym. About $65 a month, but you get free weights, machines, tons of cardiovascular equipment, free cardio classes (yoga, spinning, etc.), indoor lap pool, indoor kid pool, hot tubs, saunas, steam room, daycare. Oh, basketball, rock-climbing, and raquetball. I probably left a few things off. If you're looking for an old-school, string tank top, slammin' deadlifts on the floor with plumes of chalk coming from the squat racks, then you're in the wrong place. This isn't a Planet Fitness either. This place really has something for almost everyone. Intimidation level is low too; there are tons of people, from in-shape to out-of-shape, to young to old. This place is open 24/7 as well. If you're joining this place to use the outdoor pool, during the summer, be aware that it's incredibly jam-packed during these times. Really. As in be prepared to not find a single chair to sit on between the hours of 10 AM and 3 PM. read more

I tried this place out once, and I can see why members pay such a high price every month. There's a big pool with water slides, steam room, nice cafe with healthy food options and big enough to study at, there's a spa, and even a hair salon. There are lots of weights and machines for working out. I think I counted about seven squat racks? That's a pretty big deal. If your goal is to just workout and get out, then there are cheaper options out there. At $70/mon, I hope members can get a free haircut every month! read more

Overall the quality of the gym is pretty good. The pool, hot tub, and steam room were by far my favorites. The cardio equipment was also awesome, however the weight lifting equipment could use some work, there aren't very many benches in the free weight sections, and sometimes you will wait around quite awhile to get yourself a machine. My main point for this review, was obviously to complain, because why else use yelp other than to make the everyday consumer feel more empowered with their decisions to stop going somewhere? A couple months ago I went in to put in my 30 days notice, because I honestly don't have sixty extra bucks lying around as a college student (which is not their fault). A young membership advisor ended up offering me a student membership which would only require me to pay ten bucks a month during the school year, and the regular price during breaks (winter break, summer break etc.). I took this offer at the drop of a hat! After just a couple months of being lazy, I decided to start attending once again, but I was denied access to the gym! Turns out the membership is only valid during restricted times, which was not explained to me when I accepted the offer, and also not explained to me when I was denied entrance. They basically just gave me the student price to keep me there, but did not expand on the actual details of membership itself, so be aware if you ever hear the term "student membership". The gym is solid for the most part, but the staff doesn't seem to have the best customer service capabilities, and for a gym you will be paying sixty bucks a month or more for, you should expect a little decency. My advice to any new goers, especially students in college, is ask questions, and make sure you have them answered by the time you walk out of those doors. I'm not saying that everyone there sucks, but simply stating that from my personal experience, I did not receive very good service, especially since I was told one thing, and found out it meant something completely different. read more

I love this gym. It has everything....but it is a bit pricey. Very good for families. It is pretty big so it hardly ever feels too crowded(although it can be after New Years!). read more

I moved here from another city where I was a memnber of a Lifetime club which was fantastic. I read crappy reviews about this club - but didn't believe them because of the experience I have had with Lifetime in the past. I am SHOCKED AT HOW DIRTY THIS CLUB IS!! The bathroom is disgusting beyond belief - and I am quite sure this club never gets cleaned. The cardio equipment is streaked with crusty sweat stains and unfortunately a lot of the weight machines are really old. Sad. I complained but got a very lukewarm response. If I were manager of that club I would close for a day and scour that place. I noticed in the bathroom, that resting on the filthy floor, BEHIND THE GARBAGE can is where they keep their extra toilet paper! I am not normally a germaphobe but being in this gym makes me feel like I am going to leave with the plague! read more

Love this place ! Great classes! I just wish they offered them earlier in the morning.

I love this place. Always have. I grew up here, (my mom is the manager of group fitness) so I have been her my whole life. The customer service is awesome, and they are trying to make it like a country club, and are obviously succeeding. There are saunas, hot tubs, and indoor pool and outdoor pool, both including water slides, there are steam rooms, etc. and they do birthday parties, summer camps for kids, and the list goes on and on and on. I would definitely recommend. read more

We would like to express our concern on the recent changes to the outdoor pool schedule. Last year the outdoor pool was open all summer from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., which allowed enough time for all member to enjoy it, including families and kids to play, as well as swimmers to use the lap lanes for the workout. This year for some reason they decided to cut down one hour from the pool time and close it at 8 p.m. instead of 9 p.m. explaining that by necessity to prepare the pool for the next day. We don't think this is acceptable to take changes in the club internal procedures on the customers. We pay the same monthly membership dues and expect to receive the same level of service every year. The last hour of the pool time is very important for working people as it might be difficult to adjust their schedule for one hour. Besides that, the lanes will be packed from 7 to 8 p.m. which will only increase the customers' frustration. We personally chose this club and agreed to pay higher than other clubs around membership fees primarily because of the nice outdoor pool which was our #1 requirement. And right now we are restricted of using it. If the new schedule doesn't work for us then this club is not any better/preferable to us than other clubs around. read more

Been a member at this club since it opened about 15 years ago. Would leave in a second if there was another club as close as this one. Recent changes ...... namely a requirement to reserve bikes 6 days in advance for spinning classes and Group Fitness classes that monopolize gym floor space, weights and stations, like heard of sheep, at the sacred 5 am time slot make working out in the gym a complete nightmare. These new changes make working out a complete pain-in-the-ass..... not the hassle atmosphere you want at 5 in the morning. To bad because they have best spinning instructor on the planet. read more

Fabulous gym, and more than worth the membership dues if you go frequently. Lifetime Fitness Dublin is super clean and has very friendly staff. The steam room and sauna are absolutely awesome! They have other locations nationwide that members are allowed to use, so I can usually find a Lifetime Fitness when I travel. read more

I am obsessed with this gym! You never get bored here. The classes are off the charts, tons of machines both for strength and cardio and the staff in every department are sooooo nice!!!! I'm so glad I decided to be a member! read more

At first I said $60 for gym? No way! However, when you go in and see everything Life Time has to offer you reconsider. It's a great value, open 24/7, clean and the classes are just amazing. If they can get me to look forward to a workout, they can do that for anyone! Amazing place and I can't wait to be done with my capstone and be back with my workout schedule! read more

I'm a pretty big fan of this place. There is a lot of equipment, it's always clean, and offers a lot of classes. Both of my children go to the child care and I'm also very happy with this. I've never seen my infant cry, they pay close attention to him and my elementary age son has a lot to do as well. The pools are nice, the swim lessons are fantastic, and the personal trainers are really helpful. My biggest complaints are #1 it is pretty pricey and #2 the classes are pretty packed. Lifetime is really busy at any given time (except maybe in the middle of the night). The staff is friendly and helpful. read more

I"ve been a member for 6 months and recently cancelled my membership. My reason was simply because I just wasn't using it. I have access thru work to another facility and felt I was throwing away money. The positives are this gym is clean, the staff overall are friendly and the equipment is modern and well kept. It's a good environment to workout in! However, After following the cancellation clause per contract: sending a certified letter stating my cancellation, returning my membership card and mailing this within the proper time frame.. Lifetime entered my effective cancellation date incorrectly. The email I received from them stated: Received request: 2/3; Final payment due 3/1; Cancel date effective: 3/3. Granted the correct cancel date should be 3/1, I would've been charged a prorate. (few dollars.) {The return signed certification card stated: received/signed on 2/2.) I normally wouldn't have even written a review, but the sales rep who answered my call was rude, talked way too fast and put me on hold as I was in mid conversation explaining the problem and then transferred me to member services manager, David Scott. The manage did listen to my concern and agreed to backdate and not charge me a pro-rated amount. He handled this appropriately and courteously. I had read other reviews on Lifetime in general, and other members had cautioned when trying to cancel your membership. I highly suggest following their contract as it's quite clear legally how to do this, and SEND IT CERTIFIED to get their signature of when they received notification of cancellation. Overall, I liked this facility, however, I was disappointed in how this was handled especially by the front desk/sales rep. Mistakes do happen and over such a small amount, again, I normally wouldn't have even mentioned. BUT, follow their contract rules and make sure you don't get over charged upon cancellation. read more

Had an issue with one of our credit cards, and had to cancel. Figured that the membership would get canceled if they stopped receiving our payment. Instead, they kept charging us and called up a collection company even though we never returned! Then they asked if we wanted to rejoin again in the future haha. No. read more

I had the unfortunate opportunity to use this facility for a week. This gym doesn't even deserve one star. It pains me to even award one out of five stars. If you're looking for a terrible workout facility with people that wear wrestling masks on the floor, and grunt like a extremely overweight male about to climax for the first time in his life then this is your gym! Also none and I repeat none of their members wipe down their dripping sweaty equipment and about half the members still have no idea what deodorant is. Always over crowded with wanna be instagram models taking ugly pictures that only their mother could love (for the love of god can the staff do something about some of their inappropriate clothing half of them have a belly the size of a sumo wrestler and they are posing like a 14 year old girl on MySpace taking up half the gym while people are trying to workout). and 50 percent of the staff is so called"managers" and are absolutely oblivious to anything and everything that goes on and look like they all could use the gym to maybe keep themselves in shape. I mean come on, why does the staff look like they should be working at a place that sells couches or an all you can eat buffet??! The bathroom is always full of old naked people and little things you do not want to see I was in the sauna for 5 minutes the steam room is viewable from the sauna and I look over and to my surprise there was two grown old men jerking each other off like no tomorrow.. I will never go back to this gym, and no one else should this is far from a family facility and was an experience I wish I could take back but it still haunts me till this day seeing two old grown men pleasuring each other in a gym where littles kids can go. read more

No problems with the facility or equipment, but the management engages in crooked billing practices. After quitting (30 days notice in writing in their office with Gabby done by a digital signature on their computer) they continued to bill our credit card for months. We contacted them and tried to get it stopped, but they just kept doing it. After stopping payment with the credit card company they changed the amount billed the next month so it would slip through. After numerous requests they refused to stop billing us and denied that we had filled out the paperwork to quit, and said we'd have to do it again with another 30 day notice and continued billing. This has been going on for 5 months now. We trusted them and didn't demand copies of the notices that were signed to quit the first time, so we couldn't prove it. They are managed by dishonest thieves. We went in today to quit again and they refused to provide any written proof that we had done it. Just another digital signature for something on a screen that they wouldn't show us. read more

The only good thing I feel is the equipment and granite counter tops. If you like paying $60+/month for this, have at it. I get it, this is a gym and the trainers need to make a buck. But seriously, are you going to keep pressuring me to buy training at $69/hour when all I want is the group fitness classes? They make you do some fitness evaluation thing and try to sell you everything under the stars. I guess high pressure sales tactics works when you threaten somebody's health but not me. Some trainer (Aaron I think?) kept calling me insisting that I be successful with the help of a trainer; I would rather buy a new car for $300 per month! Good luck, avoid the sales pitch! read more

I have been a long time member of Lifetime fitness. As an athletic club that is significantly more expensive than their competition, you should expect amenities and customer service that exceeds all others. Lifetime has one of the lowest marks in customer service in the industry. I recommend and had 5 families and 18 people join but in the last 4 months, all have left the club. Mainly because of classes that were canceled and not offered in a time that were available after work. As a grand father, I can not take my grand child swimming without getting a release each day from the parents. They no longer offer a release for multiple days. This was never communicated when the policy changed and very sad to bring a child to swim to be turned away. Thankfully this policy is not standard and I was able to join another family oriented club. I do have one positive to say, that with the money I saved I was able to join a country club in addition to another club.. . It was not a happy day when I canceled my 16 year membership. read more

i've been a member here for a little over a year, they have the worst management and customer service. definitely never go to the aquatics department for any classes you might actually want to learn. it's great for fitness fanatics but definitely not if you want to "have it all in your lifetime". i had to keep calling and coming to the gym and calling and leaving messages and no one ever got back to me for something i had already paid for, and in order to cancel your membership or do anything customer service related there's never someone there. they take ALL your information and constantly say they will have some one call back. guess what? never happens. a serious waste of money. for the amount of money you have to pay for a single membership for just ONE location over a year, you could build your own personal gym in your own house. good riddance. read more

Awesome facility! I have been a member with my husband and kids for over a year now. There is a ton of different classes and equipment to always change up your workout routine. My kids love the child care center and there is a ton of activities and programs for our whole family. I would definitely recommend the facility to friends and family! read more

Wow, I am beyond disappointed! My family of 4 joined this gym recently because we loved the pool and childcare options, the climb wall and gym equipment and classes they offer. Everything looks beautiful in there and it's well maintained but it was $167 after tax per month for 4 of us and they use high pressure sales and try to sell you everything under the sun from supplements to heart rate monitors and everything between. I have no problem saying no and was warned about this but it was unbelievable! The so called free training session you get when you sign up where the guy who signed us up said they'd walk us around and show us how to use the machines and stuff was an outright lie. The trainer, Darci looked at me like I had 2 heads when I mentioned this! Basically she asked me what I eat and what my goals were then proceeded to tell me the $600 worth of stuff I needed if I wanted to lose any weight. I told her up front that I felt the gym was expensive already and couldn't buy anything else at this time. I wanted to cxl the "free" blood work they offer (where I've been told they'll try to sell you more stuff) and she told me that if I didn't go her manager would have her really start bugging me and that she'd get into trouble! She also came and found me anywhere I was on the gym floor the second I got there for days and even commented to me to call her if i had questions or if i just wanted to bitch!! Very unprofessional and it was very uncomfortable so I ended up canceling after a week. We also were upset because we signed up for the parents night out and paid $30 for 4 hours and my husband ended up pulling my kids and leaving because no one was watching them as he say there for 30 minutes watching and they sat them on a dirty gym floor to eat pizza and didn't even provide them with napkins or drinks! The girl in charge who looked about 19 screamed at my husband in front of other members because he said he wasn't comfortable leaving them there she told him she's a lifeguard, childcare provider and a doctor!! I find this hard to believe that she's a doctor making like $9 an hour watching kids but she was determined to tell my husband off and I'm not sure what that has to do with when no ones watching the kids. Needless to say I cancelled and the membership manager, David cxl us without even trying to get us to stay so I was happy he didn't bother us about it but also surprised about the "who cares" attitude. I've also had to call him 3 times to get a refund for the parents night out we never used and its still not refunded. Big mistake! read more

Lifetime Fitness in Dublin, OH has HORRIBLE customer service. They make it as difficult as possible to cancel your membership. I was charged for additional months after canceling my membership, and when I called to inform them of this mistake, I was informed that I had not properly jumped through the cancelation hoops. They refused to refund my money, or even to stop charging my account. To add insult to injury, both "supervisors" that I was permitted to speak to were exceptionally rude. This gym has a lot of amenities which you are definitely paying for, even if you're not using them. It has a ton of machines which means even during the busy times, you'll most likely find at least one open for you to use. I did not like feeling "nickle and dimed" as another reviewer put it. Also, trying to cancel my membership is proving to be a difficult task. If you think the wait to speak with someone was long when you were signing up, it's doubly long when trying to cancel. They "lost" my cancellation the first time and I've now been trying for two weeks (after receiving a notice in the mail that my account was overdue) to speak with the membership manager who apparently is the only one who can process this and is always in meetings or otherwise unavailable. My husband and I don't have kids and really only want to work out, not go to the spa or pool or cafe after our workout, so we've found that Planet Fitness just down the road is a much better fit. It's also a lot less expensive. read more

very unsatisfied with the customer service. I use to belong to Lifetime Fitness in Pickerington for the past 5-6 years. I became a member due to their buy out of Lifestyle Fitness. I have recently relocated to the Delaware/Powell area and was in the process of looking for a new gym. I noticed they have a larger variety of group fitness classes than the Pickerington Branch. So, I called to inquire about a 3 day pass to try out a couple of classes not offered in Pickerington...Tabata, Kettlebell. I was told by a rep that he can check with the manager about me trying one class but not multiple. They do not give out passes and the cost is 20 a day. They have lost my business as well as my husbands, and college age son. The price is higher from pickerington --Dublin because of the amenities. However, I wanted to try the gym out to see if I loved it enough to justify the increased cost. Shame on lifetime for treating loyal customers poorly. I am sure there are gyms that will allow potential customers a trial period to determine if it is a proper fit. This is elitist attitude is already a turn off. It's sad because I really liked the managers at Lifetime Pickerington. read more

What can I say about Lifetime Fitness in Dublin, Ohio??? Beside their only goal as a gym is to get you to buy an over priced heart monitor. Their customer service was "OK" until I had to cancel my membership for a pending move to Georgia. My membership cancellation noticed was mail out on 12/26/2012. Since my account was not charged on January 1st, I believed everything was fine and that I could go on with my life. On January 18th, they charged my account $67. When I called about the charge they stated that they had not received my cancellation and they would be charging my account for February. I had a very heated conversation with the customer service asking them to please reconsider and I mailed them another cancellation notice on January 21st. On February 1st, they charged my account again. I called asking them to reconsider the charge, given that I had not been to the club since December. They held to their story, claiming that they STILL had not received my cancellation. I had to drive to the nearest Lifetime fitness in Georgia at my expense and hand them a typed and signed copy of my cancellation. Two days later I received an e-mail stating that they would be charging my account again for the month of March but would finally be cancelling my membership. I called in again, this time pleading with the head office to reconsider charging my account for March, but they held fast plan of extortion. So in conclusion, over $200 later Lifetime Fitness of Dublin, OH ripped my off BIG TIME. I don't recommend this gym to ANYONE!! The people that work in their office are not honest. Once they knew that I was cancelling my membership they did everything they could to rip off every penny they could from me.
