I have enjoyed the classes they offered. Really good instructors. I would give 5 stars to all of them. However, this 1 star goes to the all about money management team. The management team doesn't care about customer's real needs at all. One example before Covid is, they need at least 30 days notice if you wish to put your card on hold. This makes it difficult for a lot of pple as sometimes things come up the last minute and we don't have time to plan in advance. Lifetime takes advantage of that by continue charging monthly fees. During COVID, they closed gym for a while and during the time they stopped charge monthly fee. However, as soon as they reopened the gym, they only give pple less than a week to decide if you want to return back to the gym or not. Seriously? It's a pandemic! Be kind lifetime! Another practice they do which I think it's the most hilarious one. They claimed they are being really diligent and careful about cleaning their equipments and have adopted great measure to make sure pple can still social distancing each other. This is what they do. They allow for 35 pple to jam pack a studio for group class. 35 pple in a small studio with poor ventilation. With pple breathing hard and sweating during the class, best of luck not contracting Covid. And they still keep the Heated Yoga class, which is a much smaller room packed with pple too. After class, they simply spray the sanitizer over the mat and dumbbells and stuff, and they call that cleaning. This is a pandemic! Be tougher lifetime! As a customer, they only care about your money. Even in Covid. read more

This has been my favorite gym now. I absolutely love the pools. One pool is 82 degrees and the leisure pool is 89 degrees. This is a very clean gym. I really enjoy the front desk employees! They are always friendly and helpful! I've lost 11 pounds in one month since joining! read more

2 star for customer service. I have always been please with instructors, cleaning crew, lifeguards, childcare. Office crew always seems kind of douchey. Weird huh lol Unfortunately we have moved over 1hr away 6 months ago but have kept membership out of convenience with all the trips we were still making to Columbus. However my daughter was turning 12, so we were informed I would be charged for her as an adult and they would change our membership to a couples package plus 2 children. Uh yeah my daughter just had surgery on both of her arms and will barely be using even the air in the place to breath, let alone the amenities of adult user. So GOODBYE LIFETIME!! Find some other parents of 12 yr olds to charge adult prices to. 30 day notice is in. Since I cancelled 2 days before she was 12 I was charged $10.75 - a fee for no 30 day notice that I was not informed of until I followed up with my bank as to what it was than contacted lifetime. I also paid monthly fee of $110.90 for jan (1 adult, 3 children) When I called, Brittany informed me it was better than being charged the couples rate of $132 - but wait, the girl who officially input my 30 day cancellation said my rate would be prorated since my official last day is middle of the month, feb 14. The $10.75 was charged due to my daughter being taken off without 30 day notice. It was not requested by me, the girl who processed our 30 day notice told me she had cancelled her out to avoid any fees. Whatever, its done and almost done. So long! read more

This place has gone downhill. After being a member for 3 years, I am looking for a new gym. WARNING: If you want to work out during peak hours, forget it. The gym has scheduled group classes that take over most of the free weight area from 5am - 7am and during peak evening hours. This leaves almost no equipment to work out individually. The trainers leading the group fitness sessions are extremely rude and will not let you access most of the free weight equipment. Getting into the gym and not being able to work out defeats the entire purpose of going to gym. In addition to no free equipment, the place is becoming increasingly run down, dirty, and dangerous. When you pay almost $200 per month (family), you would expect to be able to WORKOUT at a fitness facility. That's not the case at Lifetime "Fitness" Dublin. read more

Wow, i really want everyone to read and do there research before stepping foot and buying a membership at lifetime. The gym is okay and the community there is amazing, but it's just the workers are not the best and is always being rude towards us members who's re paying a solid 89.99 a month. INSANE. literally i come in and i get rude responses from a girl name MARTINA. she has an accent and she's the one who is always being rude towards the members. Front desk people need to either change or need to step up there game because i am for sure not coming back. read more

We have enjoyed our membership with Lifetime Fitness but are very disappointed in their recent removal of Coach Nick from the growing and thriving USA Swimming Lifetime fitness team. Coach Nick has created an engaged, passionate, competitive swimming community in a short amount of time. He has instilled a love of the sport as well as devotion to growing a team that was being recognized city wide as "one to keep an eye on." His removal was sudden and unapologetic. And frankly, unprofessional. Our children did not get the opportunity to hear from Coach Nick or say goodbye. Coach Nick, we stand with you. We swam for you. We came to Lifetime and stayed because of you. Lifetime Fitness, your aquatics program will suffer as a result of this decision. Which is really a shame. read more

My wife Vicki and I were here this evening as Guest for the first time. Our former gym (Lifestyle Family Fitness) is going out of business and actually sold her membership to Life Time Fitness for the time being (no one seems to know what happened to my membership ... and we are married). Vicki had her gym bag with her in the Gym area as she competes in NPC Figure Competitions and utilizes a weight belt, straps and has a training diary and other gadgets. We were in the corner of the free weight area doing bent rows and Vicki's gym bag was against the wall and out of anyone's way. Rob Zwelling (General Manager) walked by us while we were training and gave my wife's small gym bag a disgusted and disgruntled look. He had two other "Guest" with him giving one of those "tours." As Mr. Zwelling came back out of the hallway where he had taken his two Guest, he stopped and in a rude and confrontational way asked me who the gym bag belonged to. I stated that it was my wife's and he continued by calling her out for having her gym bag out on the gym floor! Not only was he rude and confrontational to the two of us ... he actually did this in front of the two adult Guest that he was taking on his tour displaying an unbelievable lack of Business Acumen, manners and common sense in the process! My wife and I both felt that this "General Manager" was way out of line in the way he spoke to the both of us ( remember we were Guest and this was our first evening in this Fitness Center ). Doing this in front of the two other adult Guest he had out on a tour just further showed his lack of common sense. Was Vicki's gym bag on the floor (in the corner) really worth the $2K in annual membership dues Mr. Zwelling may have enticed us out of for years to come ( we are both competitors and the gym is a second home.) One has to wonder what the other couple on the mandatory tour must have thought of Mr. Zwellings rude behavior. Needless to say, we have now joined another gym though it is further away from our home. read more

First impression of this gym was "Wow, it looks so luxurious in here", BUT that slowly turned into "ewwwww, the restroom smells SO BAD all the time and it's so dirty in here!! " I have been a member for a quite a while and I'm truly disappointed in their cleanliness and maintenance. This gym is not cheap and I'm expecting management to keep it in tip-top condition. There are a couple of major issues that need to be addressed, but I see no changes in the last couple of months. 1) The women's locker room- the restroom smells SO bad! I'm convinced that no one cleans it unless someone had a bad number 2. They use stainless steel for the stalls so PLEASE clean the finger prints off of it. If you look up in the changing stalls, you can see cobwebs in the corner. One of the lock for the changing stall is broken, one of the locker cabinet has a broken hinge. Don't you guys routinely check these kind of things? 2) Women steam room - bandage, wet towels, and hair in the steam room. GROSS . The steam room needs some attention! 3) Work out equipment - the foot step for the elliptical and other machines are filthy..looks like someone came in with muddy shoes and left a permanent rim of dirt in the foot step. Maintenance and cleanliness NEED improvement. One positive aspect of this gym is the warm temperature pool. read more

Life Time Dublin is a really nice gym that offers a lot. The childcare includes a play place, TVs, iPads, separate nursery, and outdoor play area in warmer weather. The pool areas include a sauna, an indoor pool with slides, an outdoor pool with slides, lots of seating, and a concessions area. The gym space has a few basketball courts and a rock climbing wall. The actual workout space has an abundance of treadmills, stair climbers, ellipticals, and weights. There are a lot of classes offered. I could go on and on with what is included in your membership because it's fantastic. Now the downside. Most classes are packed, some with not very much room to move. The employees aren't treated well, they can't keep personal trainers, there is a member of management who is very rude and he takes members and employees for granted, in my opinion, and corporate is a hassle to deal with if you have a billing issue. read more

Taking business elsewhere after 4 years of 5 days a week. This is a large gym with lots of options but the direction they continue to take, trying to catch up with trends, alienates lifters. - Floor space for lifting keeps getting smaller and smaller, machines removed. Benches and other free weight equipment keeps getting shoved closer together, all so they can have more floor space for personal training sessions - Personal training sessions, often in groups of 4-8, hog multiple pieces of already limited equipment, forcing regular patrons to lift elsewhere. - When canceling my membership, I was told it would be better for me if I came at other times. Fair enough, but I do not pay $125 a month for my wife and I to be told when I should work out. I loved this gym, now I can barely stand being here to finish out my last month. read more

I joined Lifetime on Sawmill at the recommendation of several coworkers and a couple neighbors. At first visit, they will take you on a tour and have you meet with a staff person to discuss membership, rates, etc. I really love the facility itself. Very clean, modern, spa/salon, restaurant, indoor & outdoor pool and a great looking kiddo room. Lifetime has a TON of elipticals (my fave), treadmills, steppers, bikes and so on. They have several pieces of resistance equipment as well. I really love all of the classes they hold and that they are included in the price of the membership (they better be cause the membership is NOT cheap). I pay $65/mo and yeah I know I think it's alot too, but really if you do figure up all the amenities and you go regularly (yeah I'm working on it) then it is worth the money. Ok one thing I don't like is that I feel they try to nickel & dime you if you want any assistance from a personal training point of view. So for example they have TEAM activities. You can meet up with a group of people 3x a week to workout with 1 PT to "motivate" you, but in addition to your monthly membership it's like an additional $166/mo, oh AND let's not forget the initial fitness/metobolic assesment which is over $100 AND on top of that like $80 for some fancy schmancy watch that tells you what zone you're supposed to be in. I am a fairly new member so when I heard about the TEAM activities I was excited, motivated, ready to roll up my sleeves, get dirty, let's do this then CRASH, get out of here, are you freaking kidding me, reality slap when they told me all the costs associated with it. Ah well I'll just take my cheap self right on over to the eliptical, put my headphones on, crank up the speed, watch the clock for free on the wall, smile and call it a day. But overall, the positives far outweigh the negatives for me at Lifetime. I'm trying to talk my BFF and sis into coming with me just once in hopes they join too. Oh and to end, if you're hem hawing about possibly joining, you can join 1 week free with no cost, so I would recommend doing that before you pony up & sign the contract, just to make sure it's the right fitness facility for you. read more

I signed up for a membership at this gym back in 2007, shortly after they opened their Dublin location, which was close to where I lived at the time, and I used it for a couple of years before cancelling my membership because I was moving across town, and because I wasn't going as often. I tried Urban Active for awhile and didn't like the facility nearly as much, but had to wait for my year-long contract to expire before I could quit. (That's a story for another day.) Anyway, I'm back at Lifetime and I'm sorry I ever left! Here are the things I love about this gym: -A variety of classes offered at many different times throughout the week. -Lovely low-impact treadmills that don't hurt my knees. -I almost never have to wait for equipment, even when they're packed. -A locker system that doesn't force me to remember a combination. -They're open 24/7, so when I work until 9:00, I can still go when I get out and get a good workout in. I can also go at 3:00 in the morning if I so choose, but I don't think that will happen. -Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff. -If you don't think you'll use your membership for awhile, you can put it on hold for $10 a month so that when you come back, you don't have to re-enroll. -All contracts are month-to-month, so if there's an emergency and I can't pay for it anymore, I can quit on the spot without owing a zillion dollars (I'm looking at you, Urban Active.) -They have several partnerships with other businesses, and if you purchase something from a partner, a percentage of the cost is put toward your monthly gym fee. The only reason this place gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because they're almost twice as expensive as most of the other gyms in Columbus. A normal membership is $59.99 a month, which I've decided I'm okay with paying as long as I'm there at least 3 times a week. They often run specials to lower the monthly cost for members in one way or another, but you have to catch them FAST. Sometimes they only last for 24-48 hours, and they like to sit in my gmail's spam filter until after the deadline has passed. read more

Great when you sign up. You can even do it online and then within minutes your personal experience consultant will ring your phone. Club is nice. Lots of equipment and lots of activities. Location is a bear to get in and out of with no lighted intersection for any of the entrances. It is like hotel California you can cant leave. I called to cancel and they demanded I come in person to cancel. Only other option is certified letter. And oh by the way after you cancel they are still going to bill you some more. I had initially only intended to cancel for now as it just wasn't convenient but after the experience to get out I will never join again. Save yourself some money and look for another option. read more

Let's make no bones about it, Life Time is an expensive gym. But, I find that it's worth it compared to other gyms I've been to. First off, the place is HUGE and has a different atmosphere than most other gyms - from the equipment, cafe, salon, decor and locker rooms everything here just oozes fancy. But it's the bigness of the gym that makes it great - there are dozens of machines so it's rare that you'll have to wait, tons of lockers, nice pools and courts (there's even a climbing wall!) The cafe food is good but a bit expensive. I suggest if you are going to try it, go for the fish tacos, savory roast beef sandwich or the shakes. I was a bit underwhelmed by the salads - for what you pay I'd expect a bit more. The thing that really makes me like Life Time above other gyms though is the staff and atmosphere. I've yet to go to a Life Time that was staffed by used-car-sales-type-people (*cough*LAFitness*cough*) they are always nice and helpful. I've never felt unwelcome at a Life Time by the members either - there's lots of different types of people but they are usually busy doing their own thing. The abundance of free towels, sanitary wipes and general cleanliness of Life Time is also greatly appreciated. I enjoy using the courts and climbing wall over the actual gym part, but the fitness equipment is always clean, working and in good condition. I also really appreciate the child care center which looks really nice and while I don't have kids, I like not having to be distracted or worry about kids running all around me and screaming when I'm working out. The last thing I want is to get distracted and hurt myself or someone else. Other benefits of membership: Your membership will work at all equivalent or lower-level Life Time gyms (no more hotel workouts), many free classes, discounts at a variety of local businesses, and they are all open 24/7 so you can workout whenever you feel like it. I do have complaints though- this review isn't all sunshine and rainbows. My biggest complaint is that the free-weight area is often a second-thought at most gyms, Life Time being no exception. This particular location's free weight area is more spacious than my home gym's but there just isn't a very good number/selection of equipment. Only two power racks? Seriously? My second big complaint is the music. I could care less about the TVs and it is silly that every other one is the "Life Time channel" but does the music is so. Freaking. Loud. I'll go deaf if I put turn my music up loud enough to not hear the boy bands and ballads. Which, why on earth do they play slow, sad ballads? Who wants to work out to that? read more

Summary: Great gym, a lot of equipment, a lot of classes, and friendly staff. I have been a member off an on for the past 5 years. I quit once because I wasn't serious about working out and another time when I moved to a place that had a fee gym membership. This is the best gym I have ever been to and pay a lot of money to go here even when I could go to another gym for free. Pros: - I love the convenience of being able to go any time of day. The other gyms had ridiculous times they opened and closed, even on the weekends. -I am not a gym rat but I have never felt out of place at the gym. Some people seem to get self conscious about working out around a lot of people in shape. There are all types of people at this gym from beginners to the gym rats. -So many classes to choose from. I like spinning on Saturday mornings. The instructor is really good and pushes everyone. Yes, there are some instructors of other classes that are not that good. There are too many classes for this to really be an issue for me. To address some of the comments in the other reviews: 1. Crowded gym. I go to the gym usually after 7 pm. It has never been crowded and I can always use whatever equipment I want to. There are so many options so I cannot imagine it being "too crowded" for me. 2. The cleanliness of the gym. I have not had any issues with this. I am not sure if the other people are rolling around on the floor looking for something or what...but it seems clean to me. I go to the gym to work out so maybe they are focused on something else. 3. The high pressure trainers. I agree they set up a "free" consultation and end up trying to sell you something. Here is what you do: 1. Just say "NO" or 2. don't go at all. The consultation is not required. I told them no and that was the end of it. After re-joining, I ignored any phone calls and emails requesting that I set up a consultation. After a week they stopped contacting me. It is really that easy. read more

I look forward to coming here everyday, I always feel great coming out and never regret going. It is a very nice gym with a great and convenient location. I have been a member of several gyms in the area and this one is by far my favorite. I really like how they have the equipment lined up in categories so you can just go down the line depending on the day and what you are working on that day. The kids area is awesome and I highly recommend the swim lessons for kids as they never go over 3 students per class. It is very refreshing to be able to go to the steam room or saunas after your workout or even the hot tubs. So far I have really enjoyed my experience here. read more

It's on the expensive side, but in this case you get what you pay for. This place is definitely a step above the other big box workout chains. It's modern and clean at all times. Equipment that breaks gets repaired or replaced in a timely fashion. They have classes all the time. Members get the equipment, a pool, day care, classes, salon ($), and you can buy food that's pretty good when you don't need to make an extra stop. I hate that they don't have a newspaper or magazine rack (I get board when I'm on the tread mill.), but love it too. Less clutter. Everything is professionally done. I watched a staff member, arriving for work, stop and pick up some trash in the parking lot on the way in. Nobody had to ask them to do that. read more

After increasing the monthly rate on all of us, they lowered the rate back for one of my yoga classmates. Because she complained about that in the corporation's headquarter and she told them that she will cancel her membership if they didn't lower her monthly rate back. I'll keep this short and sweet. I am a member of Lifetime Fitness in Dublin and decided to take a risk and try out the hair salon located near the front desk. I was a little nervous, being used that "Grand Salon" in Dublin. I've had several hair disasters in the past (from other salons or friends looking to experiment on my hair) - mainly from taking risks...so I must of had a wild hair that day. After dropping my son off at the gym daycare - I had 2 hours of child free bliss to get pampered in the salon. I must say for a small salon, it has very talented hairstylists. I had my hair highlighted and cut, and it was done exactly how I requested. The best part of the experience is when I found out the cost of the services...I would have paid $30 more at that "Grand Salon" without naming names....and I liked my hairstyle better! Notes: *The salon also offers nail and massage services, though I have yet to try them. *You do not need to be a member to use the salon. * I highly recommend Rachel if you are looking for someone great with color and cut. read more

I love this place. I work third shift so I appreciate the 24/7 access. If you can work out late night, I would recommend it over days. I have been there a few times during the day and wow! So much people and sooooo many kids. At night after midnight the place is practically empty, this is how I prefer working out. Its a really nice place, clean at all times, feels more like a spa. Plus the two pools have slides haha. Free saunas and steam rooms. Salon, massages, chiropractor, food that is delish. They have a wonderful variety of free classes going at all times when you get bored with the equipment. My only gripe is that you have to pay 75 more dollars or something ridiculous like that to use the Pilates reformers.....which is why I originally joined the gym. :( You already pay 65 a month, you shouldn't have to pay another 75 on top of that for each session on the reformers. :( Overall though, I would recommend it. read more

I would give negative stars if allowed. Highest priced gym in America, half the equipment doesn't work or is broken. They have classes that take all the squat racks Mon thru Friday and now they take them on the weekends and during the week the classes take every single dumbbell. So basically your paying almost $80 a month to use busted equipment and the only way to use squat racks is to join a class to pay even more. read more

Lifetime Dublin raised our rates and simultaneously removed amenities/services at the same time. They sought no member input before making these unilateral decisions. The care and upkeep of the basketball facilities has been disappointing over the last several months. In addition, they removed a whole basketball court, so now there is only one court. Furthermore, they limit the only basketball court to days/times when there are no Kids Academy functions or birthday parties. They have all-day Kids Academy for the entire summer and whenever local schools are on break. In addition, they frequently have children's birthday parties on weekends - at peak times when members want to use the basketball court. This gym no longer has a 24-hour basketball court, which is a big part of why many of its' members go there and a big part of why I signed up in the first place. Again, they sought no member input before making these changes. In summary, due to new price increases yet more limited amenities, I have to say this has been a disappointing member experience recently. read more

After 3 years debating on joining a gym I paid $75/month to join what I thought was a high-end gym; I was proven wrong. This place is a pill-mill offering ZERO customer service. You would think high price equals premium service but you would be wrong. Staff ignores you unless you purchase products or services. This company is built on one belief; maximize profit at customer expense. Your high monthly fees do not provide you with any workout program: you have to pay another $2500 for that. This company intentionally misleads members with false ads promising workout programs when they have every intention of selling you personal training. The sales staff told me I had "lifetime bucks" for a workout program but the personal trainer told me those can only be used for a discount when buying personal training. The membership sales staff tell you what you want to hear to sell you a membership. Basically, the personal trainers told me most of what they said to entice me to join the club is a lie. The workout equipment is newer but always dirty. The fitness staff enjoy standing around in groups doing nothing productive. I watched 3 trainers gesture towards a heavier woman and laugh. Shouldn't they help her? Apparently seeing obese people struggle is funny. I do not agree. This gym has a lot to be desired. The staff did not seem interested in my personal weight loss battle because I was not able to hire a trainer. The environment is not friendly at all. I quit within my 30 day window for a full refund. Now looking for a friendlier gym with supportive, affordable, professional, non-judgemental staff. Think twice before joining this sad excuse for a gym. read more

I have a unique perspective on Lifetime, since they acquired my membership when Lifestyle Family Fitness pulled out of Ohio. I'm very happy to have been acquired. The entire complex is huge, and constantly busy, but there always seems to be juuuust enough parking, juuuuuust enough lockers, and juuuuuust enough machines/weights to go around. I'm concerned that they might be teetering on the edge of being too busy, but I also know that this is probably the busiest time of the year. I really like the variety of equipment they have, and the way that the weights and machines are organized in terms of muscle group. There are a lot of distinct little areas that makes it easy to work out in a specific way without having to criss-cross the gym going from machine to machine. If its a free-weight day, all the free weights are in one area. Same for cardio machines, same for ab workouts, same for precor machines. It's a thoughtful way to set up a gym. The amenities really set this gym apart: free shower towels, free workout towels, free lockers, free sauna, free pool. It makes working out EASY, rather than a chore. The whole place feels top of the line and premium, like you're working out in a nice club rather than a typical suburban gym. Bottom line: This gym is well-worth the $50 I pay per month (thanks to my grandfathered Lifestyle membership), but I'd pay the $70 they regularly charge as well. It's that nice. read more

I have used the salon services twice, once for a pedicure which was well done, but I was annoyed that the ladies who were working did a ton of talking versus just letting me be in peace and quiet, gossipy type of talking. The second time I went in for a cut with Lauren, who ended up talking me into redoing my highlights also and I thought she did a fabulous job. I didn't think it was that much cheaper than my normal gal at Charles Penzone, but they do a nice job. read more

This is a first review based on week one at this gym. I toured the very few gyms this area has available and landed on Lifetime pretty much by default. One thing I noticed right away is that on any given night this place probably has more people walk through the doors than a professional baseball stadium. It is chaos on the weight floor. I do not think I am alone saying I do not like to work out cramped or wait for a machine. I immediately longed for my gym back home. This place anytime before 9pm during the week could easily turn a former 45 minute routine into a 90 minute routine and forget keeping your heart rate up moving quickly from one machine to another because someone is always going to be doing what you want to do next. Then the sport courts. They only have two racquetball courts that are monopolized by leagues 4 days of the week, and basketball is always jammed packed of twenty somethings and leagues. I just am not amused or wowed by what I have seen so far and I am anticipating that I will not stay a member at this place for long. I also find it odd that the "team" workout groups cost more and I am already shelling out nearly 70 dollars for a membership. Also, I think it is a bad move to charge members who want to go to other gyms ten extra dollars a month to do so. The bottom line is chaos and crowded. I just don't think a place that is so crowded is very enjoyable to work out at and not being able to get on the machines and racquetball courts is very frustrating. They should have let Lifestyle stay open and keep their members there are too many people there now. To be continued... read more

Overall I do enjoy going to Lifetime. I have seen a big improvement in the cleanliness lately (referring to earlier reviews about cleanliness). There is a lot of great equipment and the classes are awesome! The child center is very nice with lots of options for the kids (all ages)! We enjoy the pool and have a wonderful swim instructor for my daughter. There are issues, but nothing that will cause me to cancel my membership. Some of the staff seem to have a chip on their shoulders and can be rude. The desk where you sign up for events never seems to know what's going on and have messed up every single thing I've tried to sign up for. And the class schedules are hard to plan around. I wish they had set classes daily at the same times, but some days I can take an 8am class, and some days there aren't any classes until 9:30. The child center doesn't open until 8:30 so that makes it difficult sometimes too. Overall I feel that I get my money's worth here, but there is a lot of room for improvement. read more

Great gym environment with terrible customer service. Canceling your membership is probably the most difficult thing I've had to do as a customer of a business. Our personal trainer quit, so we canceled our personal training. We continued to be billed for said personal training, and had to call in 3 separate times to get it refunded, after being reassured by each person that we would receive a refund in a few business days. As of today, we still haven't been refunded. While it is still "in processing", it's ridiculous. The member services manager was not very apologetic or understanding of our terrible experiences with the club. In fact, he argued that we never should have been refunded! This was a customer relationship that could have been salvaged. I've left gyms to come back to them later, but I will never come back here. read more

Do not join this gym! They are a complete rip off. They will raise the monthly rates on you indiscriminately. If you sign up for private lessons they will be extremely disorganized with poor communication and management that seems completely clueless. I have canceled my membership with them after being a loyal customer for five years and I couldn't be happier. There are plenty of gyms in the area that are a fraction of the price. There is no good reason to be a Lifetime Fitness member. read more

It is a nice facility and the staff was friendly. I had a great experience while I was working there. However, when I cancelled my membership, I was still charged for the Alpha class that was quite an expensive charge. The staff knew I had cancelled my membership, my primary trainer, Jake, knew I had cancelled my membership, but I was still charged. After being charged, I called the gym and was given no answer, texted Jake and got no response, and emailed the manager to no avail. I eventually gave up, but they essentially took money from me, over $100. I'm writing this review many months later because as I am wanting to get another personal trainer, I am remembering the poor way I was treated as I left. This is unfortunate because I really did enjoy the experience while working out there. I've decided to go ahead and pay more money at Worthy fitness in Gahanna. I know that 1) they are believers and that comes with honesty 2) although it is more expensive I will be treated fairly 3) the personal trainers don't shuffle around like lifetime sometimes did. I would have recommended this place highly, but with the taking my money thing... I strongly advise against it. Again, I cancelled my membership properly and wasn't charged for the gym fee, but somehow charged for training. Inconsistent and dishonest. It's a shame... read more

Been a member for over a year. Definitely not enough equipment. Usually end up leaving having not completed my workout because patrons like to hoard free weights as well as some trainers when training groups. Not worth the monthly fee. read more

I've been going to LifeTime since January 2019 and I've been working with my personal trainer Gary Pearson since then. It's not a cheap place to train, that's for sure, but it's been a great experience. My trainer is fantastic. He is flexible, motivating and I always have fun at my workouts. I have two kiddos and often times I have to bring them with me and while it's another added monthly charge, it's incredibly convenient. You can keep your kids at the child care area for 2 hours and they have toys, pads, a climbing/tunnel area, basketball hoops and an outdoor area for when it's warm. I feel like a lot of times the basketball area isn't open as much as I would expect. It makes me feel better thinking my kids are being active while I am, but that's not always the case. Minor complaint I would say. They offer parents night out (excellent) and they have kid classes. Unfortunately most of the ones my kids want to go to aren't at convenient times. Especially the rock climbing wall. The cafe has decent food and you can get a bunch of great supplements while you're in there. The spa is also great with Emily for hair and Brooke for nails! Highly recommend overall. read more

~ High pressure sales ~ - You walk in the door with a guest pass and MUST meet a membership sales representative even if you are just hitting the courts - On your tour they blast you with services that you will never use such as the spa or child care - Their personal trainers should sell used cars. The "fitness assessment" is just a sales pitch, like a time share pitch. They pitch a huge sales package and try backing down as you continuously tell them no. I see, if you ask me for $4000 up front, maybe $300 per month doesn't sound as bad? What idiot falls for this bait and switch tactic? - While doing cardio I notice they have both a radio channel and a T.V. channel devoted entirely to advertising "in-house" services and products. Trust me I am well aware of what is offered to me from the membership tour and the trainer sales pitches, quit ramming it down my throat on the tvs and radios. Save your money - go to Planet Fitness, Urban Active, or any gym that doesn't charge $65 per month and try to milk you for more money while you are a member. read more
