This was my second time and I wanted to do more than I did the previous time here. I had the privilege of taking a dance class with the soulful and intuitive instructor named Jenny. It was a high energy dance coreo set where she made sure all were included and shined with gusto during the end of class performance. She created a special 'ring of accountability' before and after the class was taught. A true safe space to your bold authentic yourself. This kind of teaching extends beyond one's 'self-care' and exists on a frequency of 'community-care' and supports the 'group mind' of a creative set of artists or people wanting to draw more outside the box. The steam room and sauna were clean and detoxes one perfectly and so does the amazing hot tub and plunge pool duo and while taken all in rotation it was downright Japanese in their easy flowing easy to access layout. For every uptempo aminity there are downtempo ones too. A special shoutout to soulful Elizabeth Brown who taught a mid-day Root Yoga course filled with the best energy and well paced kindness. This is my kind of class, it's solid and restorative in its pacing and keeps the yogi listening without the pressures of comparison. Elizabeth meets you where you are no matter the level of practice and look forward to booking her class again when I am in town next. I recently visit the Life Time Fitness in Dublin, OH from my home club in Bellevue, WA and I was blown away by the warm welcome I received from the entire team. From the moment I arrived, everyone made me feel right at home. At the training desk, I mentioned I was interested in squeezing in a couple of personal training sessions during my visit. Kevin immediately said yes and worked his schedule around me. He put together two really challenging sessions on the fly and provided a ton of insightful feedback on my form and technique. It was refreshing to gain a new perspective from such a knowledgeable trainer, and he even introduced me to dynamic stretching...something I've definitely been missing from my routine. I also called ahead to the spa for some last-minute services, and Angela coordinated perfectly with the team, quickly finding a time that worked great for me. During my massage, Baily asked thoughtful questions and focused on my problem areas in my quads and upper back using a new myofascial release technique, cupping and CBD. I experienced some immediate relief from tightness after some heavy lifting sessions. To top it all off, I added another service with Valerie, who was simply awesome...not only was her service top-notch, but our conversation was truly uplifting. I am very happy with this place as a gym. My insurance switched me to here, instead of the nice little storefront gym where I belonged in the past. But they need more wheelchair parking, and to get the door opener buttons working. I am 80 this year, and in a wheelchair. I tried to go to a high intensity bike class, but it was too much for me. So the trainer, Elizabeth, very kindly, took me to the reclining bikes to set me up with an appropriate bike for exercise. Other trainers have been wonderful, offering help and advice. However, the choice of machines is pretty bad. Only one actual leg press machine, which is usually busy, with dozens of each of other machines sitting idle. I can't understand why there is only one real leg press. The pool is fantastic at 86 degrees. I have not had trouble getting to water-walk, run, hop, etc. read more

I am a member of LifeTime whenever I am in a city that has a facility - Lifetime has nailed the "gym" experience. When I was in Columbus I was able to be a part of the Dublin LifeTime family, it was here that I resumed my Pilates work with an excellent instructor - Michelle Shinaberry. She was very skilled but what stands out now that I have left and moved to a new city is that she ALWAYS put safety first and was knowledgeable about ALL her students. I used Pilates as a part of my continued healing journey as it helped me with my core and balance. I made Michelle aware of all of my workaround areas and she helped me so much. I never felt like I was holding the class up. I highly recommend LifeTime in general but it you are looking to supplement your workout and ensure a lifetime of strong healthy bone structure, posture, core, etc. - take Pilates. It works. I was walking through my parking garage a couple weeks ago and my neighbors boyfriend asked him (out the blue) if I took Pilates! Parking: This gym has its own private parking lot with more spaces than will ever be needed. Parking lot feels very safe. (One recommendation, they need to put signs for the roundabout to explain the direct of traffic. I can see an accident happening here eventually). 4.5 stars. Front Desk Staff: Employees are okay. Most visits my only correspondence with them was scanning my pass to enter, but when I needed additional help they were helpful. 4 stars. Locker Rooms: Felt clean considering it's a gym locker room. Showers are nice, the towels and soap are provided. It's always well kept. I would rate this higher, but after going to the Miami signature club, nothing competes. 4.5 stars. Weight room: The main weight area is on the second floor. This gym has everything I need to get a great workout as a Bodybuilding Competitor, EXCEPT for a plate-loaded ISO lateral row machine, which is standard in most gyms. Tons of cardio equipment. This gym is so nice and the employees are so nice it could really be a 5 Star gym like what people are paying for it to be. Unfortunately this Lifetime location is just a hot mess of renovations, pool closings, plumbing failures and other inconveniences. This is the only quality Lifetime in central Ohio with the indoor- outdoor pool setup, the cafe, the spa, the rock wall and all the other amenities they offer. However anything that requires a reservation is always reserved by the abundant Dublin WASP moms that won't just get a country club membership instead. The indoor and outdoor pool is always overrun with screaming children with no parents in sight.... And the lifeguards all look like they're 15 years old and sleep deprived. Most pools do "adult swim" for 15min every few hours just as a way to get the kids out of the pool, give them a break from swimming, have the lifeguards scan the bottom, and let adults have a minute to chill. I've been going to the outdoor lifetime pool for 2 years and I've never seen an adult swim or a whistle-blow to clear the pool. Any adult-only swimming time is usually after 8pm, which is right before they close and once the sun has started to set so it's not even warm out anymore. They used to play good music out by the pool, now you're lucky if the speakers are on at all. It's just a really hard place to relax unless you have earbuds in, yet they market it as this great oasis. The locker rooms are frequently under construction or renovation or whatever they're calling it that week. Last month they literally had the women's and men's locker rooms not closed... but switched? You never know what you're walking into once you check in. Overall it IS a really nice gym, it's big, it offers classes, there's amenities and kind staff... but it's overrun by teenagers in the locker rooms and the gymnasium and the workout space, and overrun by children in the pools. I don't have kids, and even if I did I can't say I'd want to go "relax" or workout or share my "me-time" with a bunch of loud, unsupervised children. This Lifetime doesn't feel like a sophisticated classy fitness center, it feels like a local playground. read more

My wife and I have been going to this gym for sometime now. we noticed this month how they raised the prices yet again! A couple of dollars maybe but it went up $11 so now for two adults we pay $193. ( I have not even mentioned how we use to pay maybe $7 for a protein shake now it's like $11!!!!!"). One can say "well they got new equipment " but does now this mean anytime they have changes our membership fees jump?! furthermore they didn't need to do that at this point, the latest equipment doesn't produce a better body! Next, the quality of care for the gym has gone down to boot! Often I must hold my breath at the urinals because it smells so bad! It often smells like they mop the floor with urine, I am not over exaggerating one bit! I believe they hire these young kids and they do not understand that when you clean, you can't just get a mop and wipe the urine up! The hand soap they use to use smelled sooooooo good after you wash, but then I noticed they went to a cheaper kind so after you wash you smell your hands and think "wait did I wash my hands or not?!" The bathrooms upstairs are always filthy! I always think "I come in here to urine then track out everything on my shoes to the rest of the gym, hmmmmm. So it begs the question "why would one go or stay at a gym that continues to raise fees on long time members?!" Well, it's simple.... They can do this because right now it's the only gym "spa" of its kind in Columbus. I can't wait until someone else makes such an investment in our area! It's probably one of the most expensive in the area and they keep raising the fees. It's charged first of the month before you use the month and it cannot be from credit card. My main complaint is the cleaning and hygiene standards at this Dublin location. Balls of dust are easily found between machines. Floors are never mopped. Off and on, a few people do surface-scratching work. Never saw regular cleaning efforts. The second floor weight room bathroom is dingy and dark. Never saw anyone cleaning that bathroom. The door knobs need fixing. The concrete top above the main entrance needs fixing. It is a pool of water from rain. Molds are visible and it can breed germs. The level of cleanliness and maintenance does not match with the pricing of the gym. The management should address these hygiene concerns. read more

I started going specifically for the pools, and they were just always crowded with kids during the evening hours. Pool facilities were very nice. I have been going to Lifetime (dublin) almost every day, over the last 9 months and have enjoyed the people and the facilities very much. I chose to be a member since the indoor pool is heated (stays around 88 deg) and I feel great after doing my exercises and lap swimming. They also have a separate lap pool, which has a lower temperature. They keep the facility well stocked with towels and the locker rooms are very clean. I cannot think of one negative thing about this place. Even the sandwiches in the shop are very good. I give it a 5-star rating when it comes to working out. Oh, and I need to mention that their outdoor pool is also great and very big (with slides and diving board). My grandson loves going there also. read more

I love my Life Time! I have been a member at this Life Time Fitness for over 10 years. My monthly membership fee for a single person is $79 per month, plus tax. When I first started with this gym, a monthly fee ran me about $60 per month. When they do increase their monthly membership fee, it only happens once a year. Yes, the membership is more than what you may find at other gyms. I recommend you consider the differences and what you plan to use. There is something for everyone here, but if you don't intend to use it then another option may be more suitable. There is lots of cardio equipment, such as treadmills, bicycles, elliptical and rowing machines. Half of the second floor has these types of machines The second half has free weights, dumb bells, cable machines and various bench press and hammer stations. Other opportunities is indoor / outdoor pools, a couple racquetball and squash courts, two full size indoor basketball courts, a rock climbing wall, a spin studio, two group fitness rooms, Pilates and probably other items I am not thinking of at the moment. Child care facilities are staffed and available for parents while they work out. A full service salon is on site. Life Time Cafe offers a great place to catch up with others and have protein shake or other healthy meal items. There are large locker rooms for men, women and one for families. Locker rooms have showers, steam rooms and saunas. Clean towels are made available for your use. Many of the group fitness classes are included with your membership. There is a wide variety of group classes for all different levels. Swim classes, TEAM and Pilates classes would be smaller size and have an additional fee, if you choose to participate in them. Certified Personal training and Dieticians are also available for a fee. Overall, I have found Life Time very clean. Right after work in the evenings is one of their busiest times. It is for most gyms. I typically work out in the early morning. Mornings can be rather busy before work as well, but not quite as busy as evenings. Over the years, I have gotten to know different members of staff. They have all been very friendly and help me when I have questions. Actually feels like its own community for me. You can be as engaged as you choose to be. There is a wide range of members who go here at varying fitness levels and interests. Solid 3 stars, i would give the gym a 5 by itself, because it is massive and accomodates pretty much everything you could ask for. However, Yelp was very misleading. I am unsure if the free day pass was a corporate action button or if it wasn't communicated to this facility but here is what happened.... I show up to gym, i am greeted. I tell the assistant sales manager that I am here to redeem the free day pass. He informed me that there is no such thing. I show him the yelp button and the website where it says free pass. He states that i must be looking at another club, i confirm the page and the address of the club I am at (i am in the correct place). He tells me the only time they ever offer a day pass for free are to members who live locally - he asks me if i do (i don't, i am visiting for the weekend). He states they typically set up tours and meetings for first timers and i would need to pay the day pass fee of $20 or schedule a meeting to come back. However, this time he would offer me a one time day pass for $10. I agree and pay the ten - still super disappointed that it wasn't free and was incorrectly advertised. However, it was only ten and could have been worse. That aside; this is the first time i have ever been inside of a lifetime fitness. I have always heard about how awesome they are. I can't say i disagree. This place was gigantic. Normally my biggest petpeeve is overcrowding or the lack of space. Not once was i in anyones way, and there was more than enough space for me to spread out and superset different machines. The cardio are had MANY of different types of machines and plenty of the same so you could ensure locking one down. The locker rooms were very clean, i was only in there for a brier time, but Chad was grabbing towels and cleaning up both times i stopped in. The showers have soap inside of them which is always nice when you dont have any body wash with you. The sauna could have been hotter, but it was spacious even when 4 people were in it. Lastly, my stop at the cafe. I ordered an almond butter chocolate shake which wasnt too bad - a little heavy on the ice because it tasted watered down. I also ordered a chicken panini which was delicious and comparable to the costs of sandwiches from panera or the like, it also came with a small salad which was cool. read more

Where to start -- my membership is out of a 5 star city club without a pool and hordes of children. I am still on my plan with my SO from that city so I can't change. I'm living in both cities -- working here. Otherwise, I would never use this club that is closer to my apartment. I have worked out for 30 years, back when ladies used free weights. The free weight area is about 95% smelly men. No one removes their weights off the machines. There are dangerous obstacles everywhere. Either the (male) members are clueless, sloppy, and inconsiderate, or management just lets weights stack wherever. This would never fly at my home club. Don't be fooled by all the professionalism up front! It's a great relationship when you sign up but it gets bad very quickly when you cancel your membership. When I signed up I was told I could cancel anytime with no additional fees. I walked in and of course they want 30 day notice plus any prorated days per the billing cycle. Manager was extremely rude and stated it is what it is and advised me to call my sales rep that is working at another location! I was very confused by this, what is he going to do different than the manager that is over him! It's a solid 1 star based on my 2 year experience. I'm a basketball Coach and I joined Life Time because after a 26 year relationship with Premiere Fitness on Bethel Rd., closed and the Pandemic Lifetime seem like the ideal location. When initially met with one of the sales rep's, I advised them that I wanted a place to bring my 16 yr to work on his basketball skills and enjoy the pool. I was told that they had a court and that wouldn't be any issue. That was far from the truth, every time My son and I attempt to enter the gym, it's occupied with badminton, kid activities, or 30-55 people waiting to play. I voiced my concerns and all I got was NOTHING! Really didn't care. Then I received an email letting me know that the membership rate will increase and I was charged a fee for not given a 30 day notice for cancelling. Well I didn't get the increase notice until the 5th of December and I was instructed to come in to officially cancel my membership. So, again I'm confused why I was charged for a cancellation fee. When I did meet with Jessica Orwig, General Manager, she could careless about my concern. So, if $10.00 trump my current membership fee, thank you for letting me know how you value me as a customer. My wife summed it up best - walking into LifeTime reminds her of boarding a cruise ship. Everything sparkles, from the marble on the floors to the polished wood on the lockers to the large variety of well-maintained cardio equipment. Granted, this is one of the pricier fitness clubs around. Sometimes, you get what you pay for. We consider it well worth the money - having an inviting place to go work out is a big motivator. Some of the "pros" that keep me coming back: Lots of different group fitness classes, offered many times throughout the week, included in the monthly fees. My personal favorites are spinning (instructor-led routines on stationary bikes) and "Strike!" (a cardio kickboxing class that throws in weighted gloves and bars for good measure). Gorgeous indoor and outdoor pools. We've belonged to a couple of nice community pools in the past - the outdoor pool at LTF is nicer. There are LOTS of cardio and weight machines - it's extremely rare to have to wait for one, even when the place is packed (which is often). My wife and I are learning racquetball. There are two courts which can be reserved on the web. The cafe offers some decent choices that make it easy to grab a healthy snack or meal after working out. My favorite is the $3 breakfast special each day. Finally, the staff are terrific. Several of them, from the greeter to the head of the cafe, have taken the trouble to learn my name - I appreciate that. My wife has been working with one of the many personal trainers (extra cost) and really likes her as well. Bottom line - if you just want a big room with some free weights and machines, LTF will be overkill for you. Not only that but you also have access to the Sauna and Steam Room basically whenever. This location is not like the Easton one due to the fact that you actually have Saunas in the Men's and I believe (not that I have been in there) Women's locker room. The staff is very courteous and they really listen to the demands of their clients. Very accommodating. Also at this location they have a indoor and outdoor pool. I pay almost 160 dollars in dues with this organization and have for over two years now. I pay for cleanliness and access to clubs across the country because I travel and it matters that these places are clean and hygienic no matter where I go. For the most part I have been satisfied. I don't always get great customer service at different clubs but that is just personality based. My recent experience has made me quit my membership here. While swimming in the lap pool I found a medication syringe. I freaked out and let the lifeguard know - but there was no pool clearing - I'm not sure if she even told the manager or front desk. In any case I immediately signed a form to cancel my membership but it's been a whole day and nobody has called me back or gotten in touch with me about the incident or my membership.They even told me it would take thirty days to cancel my membership - they had the dirty pool and terrible customer service. I'm shocked that during a global pandemic the need to be clean and hygienic is not a priority for this club. I am very disappointed and I know there are very few places I felt comfortable actually working out in. I no longer trust that they actually properly disinfect and clean the way they need to. I'm planning on filing a complaint with the health department. I would definitely not recommend this fitness center moving forward. Edit- Instead of dealing with me directly management is responding on Yelp and calling me a liar. There was no follow up around my actual membership request. This has been my favorite gym now. I absolutely love the pools. One pool is 82 degrees and the leisure pool is 89 degrees. This is a very clean gym. I really enjoy the front desk employees! They are always friendly and helpful! I've lost 11 pounds in one month since joining! read more

If you have a child participating in team activities or lessons, ask for a copy of their procedures on notifications if a child is exposed to CV19. The communication has been very poor and the ability to reach someone, cancel a membership or ask a question has been difficult. read more

I have enjoyed the classes they offered. Really good instructors. I would give 5 stars to all of them. However, this 1 star goes to the all about money management team. The management team doesn't care about customer's real needs at all. One example before Covid is, they need at least 30 days notice if you wish to put your card on hold. This makes it difficult for a lot of pple as sometimes things come up the last minute and we don't have time to plan in advance. Lifetime takes advantage of that by continue charging monthly fees. During COVID, they closed gym for a while and during the time they stopped charge monthly fee. However, as soon as they reopened the gym, they only give pple less than a week to decide if you want to return back to the gym or not. Seriously? It's a pandemic! Be kind lifetime! Another practice they do which I think it's the most hilarious one. They claimed they are being really diligent and careful about cleaning their equipments and have adopted great measure to make sure pple can still social distancing each other. This is what they do. They allow for 35 pple to jam pack a studio for group class. 35 pple in a small studio with poor ventilation. With pple breathing hard and sweating during the class, best of luck not contracting Covid. And they still keep the Heated Yoga class, which is a much smaller room packed with pple too. After class, they simply spray the sanitizer over the mat and dumbbells and stuff, and they call that cleaning. This is a pandemic! Be tougher lifetime!
