We bought a house with a small pool and went to Caribbean Pool Service as a both a local Alexandria company and the company that had previously serviced the pool hoping to find a company we could trust to help us with our new pool. After zero communication over more than a week after we had scheduled to have the pool 'cleaned', the first crew arrived with broken equipment to drain the pool. Two weeks after the initial scheduled date, the acid wash made the pool worse. When we contacted the company they told us we had asked for the acid wash. We clearly were new pool owners who had no idea what we were doing and had looked to them for their professional opinion. I was told initially that the president of the company had come to look at the pool to see what it needed but later was told that they hadn't looked at the pool and that it was our request. Upon calling repeatedly and being put off over and over we contacted other pool companies for estimates. Caribbean demanded that we pay for the acid wash but finally negotiated a price and they said they would re-plaster the pool. It took additional weeks of calling and being put off and patronizing and condescending responses but they came and drained the pool. It still took another TEN days before before they finally sent a crew who blasted music on a Sunday morning in our quiet neighborhood. To top it off, they sent us a bill the next day after completion with an immediate due date! When we didn't pay within a few days we were sent threatening, harassing and demeaning emails and messages. Even when we sent them payment information, they followed up with additional harassing emails. I have dealt with dozens of contractors and service companies over the years. I have NEVER had service this atrocious. Please do yourself a favor and find another company.

The guy who came out was very friendly and very knowledgeable about pools and the work that needed to be done on my pool specifically. After checking their references, I decided to go with Caribbean because I felt very comfortable and their customers were very positive. Once we picked out our tile and coping, they got started right away. They started everything on a Monday and had it ready to swim in by the weekend with everything done. I was very pleased with the work they did and how quickly they got it done. We were so pleased that we have them doing a weekly pool cleaning for us this coming summer.

Rado, from Imperial Pools, provided a clear and complete estimate of the work and materials. Before starting the job, he checked with us to make sure the coping and tile were the color expected. Removing the old coping and tile was done quickly and the job site was cleaned up every day. the new coping and tile installation, and the plaster resurface with "diamond bright" turned out great. They changed the lights and installed a new computer/wireless controller system. All of the work was done on time and within the estimate provided. We are very happy with the final product and the process along the way.

Rado of Imperial Pools was by far the most professional reply. His email was prompt and courteous AND listed every service that he would provide as part of the winterization. He wasn't the least expensive, but because of his detailed proposal (email) and his prompt responses to my follow-up questions, I chose Imperial Pools. We scheduled for 8 am and he was right on time. Rado worked with two other gentlemen and they were all knowledge, professional and efficient. They wore masks and were careful to stay socially distant. They moved through each part of the process quickly and carefully and had all of the right equipment to do the job properly. In addition to partially draining the pool, adding the winter chemicals and removing the pool's stairs, they also blew air through all of the equipment and hoses. They carried the pool equipment (pump, filter, salt water/chlorinator) to my garage. The hoses were all bagged and stored for the winter. I am truly grateful for the excellent and efficient service. Michael is a Pool Wizard!…read more Due to my own neglect from not closing and covering the pool last year, what was once a pool was quickly turning into a pond. Michael came out, educated me on what causes algae and simple ways to prevent it, then got right to work. He came fully prepared and brought all of his own equipment, which prevented having to run all of the algae and debris through my pool system. I'll admit, I was skeptical that he would be able to get it done the same day, not that he would be able to bring it back to clear, but skeptical about it being done in one visit as it was REALLY bad. I've opened the pool myself in previous years dealing with the same algae situation, but not quite as bad as this year and it took me days and an obnoxious amount of money spent on chemicals as advised by the local pool store. Michael had it from green to clear in only about 3 hours, and that was with me constantly interrupting him and asking questions the whole time. He was more than reasonably priced. He did not try to gouge or take advantage of the situation, just all-around honest guy. Michael is polite, passionate about what he does, and extremely professional. He truly knows his stuff.
