For the same $500 I'm getting a full body scan every two years, since my plan is to live well past 100 and not in a hospital with a bedpan. At 65 I've had many friends die who found out way too late they had an issue, or suffered all sorts of painful procedures that could have been easily fixed while a tumor was still benign.

And that's just in the 2.5 hours I was there! I understand imaging places are understaffed but to already be running a full hour late at 10 am is terrible planning. Two women leaving between two imaging sessions because they couldn't be any later to work is terrible health care administration. I have to come back in 6 months and I'm going to try and find a location that isn't run this poorly. Wish me luck!

Had to go inside several times to check to see if my name was called because it was 20 min after my appt and I was still standing outside. Back in the imaging area the atmosphere felt cleaner. The Tech was super nice and quick and we a fun conversation during my exam. She gets a ***** rating, but the facility does not.

The Technologist was careful to make me as comfortable as possible, and explained what was going to happen, before and during the procedure. Excellent care! I had an incidental finding on a CT scan and needed a MRI to determine the next steps. I was scheduled at my usual place but it's was almost a month out to be seen Due to increase symptoms and pain, I needed to find another place, so my insurance provider gave me the info for Akumin. I was able to get in the same day. After completing my MRI on 5/12/26, I was told by the technician it would take 24-48 hours for the results. A few days later I called and was told that at the latest it will be completed will be Friday 5/15.. I call on Friday and was told by a Rep an email will be sent to radiology department because my images have not been read and my provider will receive the report in a couple hours. I called three hours later and a new rep informed me it can take an additional 2-4 business days. At this point I asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor, Mike, stated he could see an email was sent. He stated that because he's a supervisor, his "emails will hold more weight," and it takes about 30 minutes to read and send to the portal. 2 hours later, I called back and spoke with Mike again to inform him I received a message in the portal stating that the report was not ready. He stated he didn't receive a reply t0 his email and will be sending a follow-up email. In the meantime, my symptoms are worsening, and I can't see a neurosurgeon until the report is sent. As a nurse, I'm disgusted by this company. I have never experienced this type of BS when it comes to radiology reports. The entire location on Armenia Ave in my opinion, I believe should be investigated for medical fraud and negligence. I will make it my mission to report this negligence and delay of care to every agency/boards they are affiliated with, notify my insurance company and leave a review to warn others to stay far away from this bottom feeder hole in the wall.

For any New Patients going to Park Place ask for a copy of your CD/records before leaving the office. Apparently if they send records to the doctor who ordered the images that is considered your copy and it's your responsibility to get it from your doctor. I have never heard of this before. They will try to charge you $25 for any additional copies. Office Experience was aggressive and rude when I asked for my own copy. They were not happy when I asked for documentatuon in writing of their $25 policy that I filled out for patient services for the images. They said they didn't need to have it writing because it's their policy. They said it would take "awhile" for them to duplicate my records. Even behind their glass partition they were giggling , talking about the super bowl and had me wait for over a half hour before receiving my own records.

I had an abdominal MRI at ParkPlace MRI in October, which showed a 2 cm mass. My doctor had me…read morerepeat the scan in January to check for growth. Standard procedure requires patients to have their arms above their head for abdominal MRIs, but the tech did not instruct me to do this for the second scan. The results from the second MRI reported no mass, discounting the initial findings as "likely an air pocket." My surgeon was nearly misled and considered canceling my procedure, believing I was improving. Fortunately, he proceeded, and the surgery revealed a cancerous mass. When I called ParkPlace MRI about this discrepancy, I was told that the results are sent to an external radiologist and that the clinic does not stand by their readings. They stated that my doctor would have to contact the radiologist directly and that it was not their problem. This experience was extremely concerning. Incorrect procedures and a lack of accountability nearly put my health at serious risk. I DO NOT recommend this facility.

My doctor originally sent the order to BayCare, but the soonest appointment they had was a month away... at 5:45 a.m. on a Sunday. Absolutely not. So I started calling around and Gulf Coast MRI got me in the very next day. Immediate win. From the moment I walked in, the ladies in the office were AMAZING. This was my first MRI ever -- and I ended up needing two -- and they walked me through everything step by step. They were so kind, so patient, and totally held my hand through the whole process. They didn't take my insurance insurance (but they do take some), but it was $300 per body part, and honestly, between my HSA and what I would've paid toward my deductible anyway, it probably cost me the same (or less). For next-day service? Worth. Every. Penny. The machine is loud (no surprise there), but they let me jam to 80s music the whole time, which made it way less intimidating and honestly kind of a vibe. I walked out with two CDs in hand and they let me know my doctor would have the radiology report within a few business days. Efficient, friendly, professional, and just overall great humans. If you need an MRI and don't want to wait weeks while living in pain, this is your place. Total rock stars!
