I can only speak from my own personal experience when I share I had one of the best experiences today. I am huge on exceptional customer service and a great bedside manner, so much so, I am willing to travel as far as necessary to find just that. Before I even arrived at the center, the communication and friendly reminders about the upcoming appointment I scheduled were very helpful for me. Upon arriving, I was greeted immediately and made to feel like the staff was expecting me. That alone was top notch for me. I found each encounter with each staff member including Dr. Cox, made me feel more comfortable and even a bit excited as I learned exactly what to expect during my first visit. I was both relaxed and felt I was assured by Dr. Cox himself, that he would only proceed with services he offered if after learning more about my needs and concerns it was indeed a good fit. I appreciated his honesty about this rather than a lack of concern for my health just to make money. Lastly, after my initial consult, tests and detailed explanation of what each one meant (which were so cool to see results of) it was determined I was a good fit and Dr. Cox would be able to help me. I finally had my adjustment and Dr. Cox explained each step as to what he would be doing. It was a great experience for me, and I feel very excited about returning for my additional services in the future. I just want the staff to know how very much I appreciated each and every one of them that I encountered today. I was duped. Life Aligned Wellness Center (formerly Discover Chiropractic) offers several plans to bring the price per adjustment down. The plans are structured so that you get a total number of adjustments and a certain number of adjustments are free. When I had the initial exam with Dr. Cox, I had some trepidation about signing up for one of the plans because I didn't know if he could make my back better. He assured me he could, and if he didn't, he would refund my money for the adjustments I didn't use. This assurance was enough to get me to sign up. What he *didn't* tell me is that the plan backloads the free adjustments. Let's say, for example, you get the 48 adjustment plan. With that plan 14 adjustments are free. Now if you used half (24) of your treatments and decided it wasn't working and wanted a refund, you should get half your money back, right? Wrong! You will get a fraction of your money back because with the 14 free adjustments being backloaded, you actually only have 10 adjustments left! That's a very sneaky and dishonest way to give a money back guarantee. Also during the initial exam, I questioned how just spinal adjustments could bring me back into alignment when it is my muscles that are holding me out of alignment. He told me he would also give me exercises to do along with the adjustments. During the 6 months I was getting adjusted by Dr. Cox, he never gave me any exercises. He also structures the adjustment sessions communally. This means your adjustments happen in a room with everyone else that showed up to be adjusted. He does these communal adjustments in a small window of time. This maximizes his profit, of course, but what if you have questions you want to ask in private? And how is he possibly focusing on your problem when he is switching between people as he's adjusting you? Literally, he does an adjustment, moves to 2 or 3 other people, and then comes back for more adjusting on you. In the end, this practice is all smoke and mirrors. They try to make it look scientific with their tests (that have no scientific basis). A couple hours after being adjusted you go right back to the way you were before. The communal adjustments are just a way to maximize profit. This is not an honest chiropractor and I do not recommend him. Maybe you have seen 2000 patients over the lifetime of the practice, but clearly you do not have 2000 *active* patients. Let's say you have one tenth of that, so 200 *active* patients. You wanted to see me twice a week, but I'll be generous and say you see them once a week. If you saw patients 8 hours a day, 5 days a week with no lunch/bathroom breaks and no vacations or holidays, you would have to see 40 patients a day and each one would get 12 minutes of your time. No wonder you do the communal adjustments! You need to get them in and out as fast as you can. Regarding your assertion that I did not voice my concerns. Perhaps your receptionist, Jamie, did not take good notes. I did indeed voice my concerns to her. In fact, I called her back specifically just to voice my concerns on at least one occasion. You state that you are bound by law regarding free adjustments. However, you present the plans as "discounted" plans. I chose the 48 adjustments and 4 progress exams (52 sessions total) option, for which I paid $2860 minus a $990 "discount" for an average of $38 per session (total $1870). The full price per session is listed as $55 per session. All of those figures come directly from your paperwork presented to me. Since I also keep meticulous records, I have the document, and I added it to the photos. I used 28 sessions total so I should get a refund for 24 sessions at the average $38 per session cost (total $912), right? Nope. I got one refund for $85 and another for $245 for a total of $330, which is 6 sessions at the full price $55 per session. The remaining money I paid went to the 28 sessions at the full $55 price per session (total $1540). Do you see a discount in there? Neither do I. In reality, the plans aren't discounted at all. The patient is paying full price per session and you're tacking "free" sessions onto the end. If the patient decides the treatment isn't working, you've already made sure you got paid at full price and the patient is none the wiser. Regarding doing adjustments on healthy children and NEWBORNS... that should scare the you know what out of people! They are a poor choice for weight loss and Chiropractic Care. I paid about $900 for weight loss program that only achieved 1/2 of goal. Very restricted diet and program with very few choices. They do some weird weight and body fat calculations that tell you you have some hopeless situation. Try to blame you if doesn't work. Chiropractic care very expensive and ineffective. Truly a poor choice. Cousin recommended care and practice and very disappointed. read more

I had immediate relief of headaches after the first appointment with a minor "test" adjustment. I have tried every avenue for the past 50 years, short of botox, steroid injections or surgical intervention which I was afraid to do. I really don't want to put chemicals in my body, not knowing the longterm outcome. My preference would be to try something non-invasive. I decided to give Dr. Cox a try. I found Dr. Cox through Nikki's review and the word that caught my attention was "thorough." Well, I couldn't agree more!! She is right-- He is AMAZING!!! I have been to many, many chiropractors over the years in many different states and have never met one as warm, caring, personable, funny, professional, thorough, and current in his knowledge as Dr. Cox!! He makes you feel like you've known him for ages and explains things in ways you understand. He is a natural teacher. I have now brought my family of four in and referred him to several friends. My 9 year old suffered a horrible fall and no longer struggles to fall asleep in tears over her lower back pain that was really caused by her neck, which of course "regular" doctors couldn't figure out. My friend couldn't move her arm in full rotation for 10 years and was able to do so after one visit!!! I've talked to another patient who quit her job due to migranes of 4 months and no longer has them! Of course you have to be responsible to make the right health choices when you leave his office, but I still told him he's our Miracle Worker!!! Side note, if you're an athlete & want someone who can help you just a little more than your "average" chiropractor, you may be interested to know Dr. Cox has the added knowledge of having been a physical therapist for the Minnesota Vikings NFL team, so yeah, he knows his stuff!! :) His staff are incredible people (kuddos to Kat & Jamie!) and you feel so cared about from all of them the moment you walk in the door. He's never in a rush to get you out the door, which is my number one pet peeve with any doctor! He truly cares about educating you and answering all of your questions. I've never had such state-of-the-art testing done at a chiropractor's office before. It gives you a detailed understanding of where your health issues come from, looks at the each and every vertabrae, and provides analysis & overviews that comes from several other tests. In addition, you don't simply get old school/ traditional "back cracking" week after week, but manipulations I've never had done before in my neck that were great! You get an action plan that goes straight to the source of the problem (for everyone in my family it's all been in our necks) and you are educated along the way as you progress. He offers educational nights via movies, talks, going on walks together, etc. on everything from ADHD (another specialty of his) to immunizations to cardio training, just to name a few. About 2 weeks after my last review (so march 2013) I found out I was pregnant! My husband & I had been trying for 3 1/2 years to conceive... I had asked Dr. Cox if he thought getting adjusted could help and he mentioned he'd had great success rate of women dealing with infertility finally conceiving in 3-4 months of starting care with him. It was within 1 week of 4 months of care that I conceived... Coincidence? I don't think so - my chiro treatment was the only major change I did, we did no infertility treatments and I had already made major nutritional changes a couple years prior. Weekly adjustments were a life saver during pregnancy and now we have a perfect, incredibly happy 6 month old baby boy!
