I see Dr. Monash for weight loss and he is a great dr. His office staff is very accommodating and kind.

I went for wound care. The doctor took off his gloves because they were sticking to the tape he was cutting. He then handled the items that he put on my wound with his bare hands without even washing them first. I should have spoken up because this was really wrong to do, but I did get home and change the dressing. Then there is the dog who runs in and out of the exam rooms and waiting room. Cute dog but it is not trained to stay out of areas and to not jump up on people. The dog jumped up on my leg with the wound. I ended up at TMC Wound Care Clinic which is very professional with highly trained staff. He is a bariatric surgeon who no longer practices that, and I am not sure what his training is for wound care. read more

Despite the 1 star reviews that obviously aren't from actual patients, most likely have NEVER met Dr. MONASH, should honestly keep their mouth shut. Dr. Monash is one of the most amazing, down to earth, personable doctor I have ever met. The quality of care he gives is amazing. I started my journey in 2019 and had surgery 1/20/2020 with Dr. MONASH. He has been their every step of the way and had continued to help me in this journey and had effected my life so positively! The January court case is now finished. Dr Jeffery Monash was found guilty of killing 13 people. He was found guilty and asked to pay millions to the families. However, to date he has not paid anything. As a person who had a lap band in 2011 which was horrible and he never fixed his horrible work.: as a result I now have precancerous espophogus from not being able to swallow anything including water at times. Too many instances of his strange behavior to mention. Just know you need to find a great surgeon, not Jeffery Monash!!!!! 2017 I had the band out by an excellent barriatric surgeon located in Monterey, CA. The care I got was non existant. he lied to me several times. He got overly angry at the fact I complained and wanted it out. The lap band was killing me. He does not deserve a star, he deserves to be in jail.!!! How many people does he have to destroy before taking his license away? read more

This gentleman hands down saved my life when no one else could. He was able to fix me when another doctor besides himself botched my surgery. My son went to Dr Monash a few years ago due to some complications that arose from gastric bypass surgery several years in the past. He was so kind and so compassionate towards my son and his situation. He even took the time to make contact with a doctor who was also trying to get to the bottom of my son's situation. Now, several years later, I myself needed help due to issues with my vertical sleeve gastrectomy , another type of weight loss surgery, which I did 11 yrs ago I had gone to A LOT of other docs who had no idea what was happening to me. Dr Monash reviewed the test results I got sent to him , he walked into the office and told me exactly what was happening . I had the surgery. Dr Monash had me come into the surgery awake and the last thing I remember was him patting my hand and telling me he wouldn't let anything happen to me. This man had a calling to be in this profession. He has the most amazing, reassuring, calming personality. Dr Monash also makes sure he answers EVERY question you have so you are 100% at ease on what is going to happen. I CANNOT RECOMMEND DR MONASH ENOUGH!!! Dr. Monash and his staff are wonderful. He was recommended for wound care treatment for a wound on my leg that had been unresolved for over 2 months. After several different treatments that were not successful, Dr. Monash was able to get authorization for a graft placement and this did the trick. I complement Dr. Monash for his care and for his bedside manor. At the end of each visit he asked if I had any questions or concerns. His medical assistant and office staff were always friendly and helpful. And, I don't believe that I ever sat in the waiting room for more that 5 minutes! Every visit was timely. read more

At age 30, I had high blood pressure, sleep apnea, and a BMI of 46, not to mention a history of yo-yo'ing weight and every diet in the book. Surgery was a scary idea, a personal embarassment, a moral failure, and a last-ditch effort, but I headed to an info session at TMC anyway, "just to see" what it was all about. Having my guts rearranged might be better than dying of a stroke at 40, perhaps. Despite my fear of someone in a suit and tie selling me the medical equivalent of a timeshare, Dr. Monash was EXTREMELY down-to-earth and friendly, with the constant emphasis on health. No fat-shaming, no appeals to vanity, but personal/clinical experience and research that surgery helps seriously obese patients lose enough weight to regain and KEEP their health. Maybe it's a little cheezy and touchy-feely, but honest and sincere and convincing enough for me. I had a sleeve gastrectomy (VSG) in December 2013, and the doctor and his entire staff have been incredibly helpful through the entire process. The insurance coordinator, Binda, is AMAZING at helping you through the approval process, and all the nurses and PA's are friendly and encouraging. There's even been a lot of thought put into the building itself, with the chairs in the reception area and exam rooms being sturdy and adequately-sized for patients of all weights. Dr. Monash himself is extremely knowledgeable and didn't bat an eyelash when I came in with tons of research under my belt-- I'd spent weeks digging through studies on PubMed and reading everything I could get my hands on. He does his best to make sure every question is answered, not only from you, but from family members who come along for appointments or to the surgery itself. He sends patients home with a binder full of info (what you can and can't eat, recommendations for vitamins, etc.) to guide you, as well as some very useful mental/emotional reading for the process. I'm a month out from surgery and feeling WORLDS better! Dr. Monash and his staff have been wonderful so far, and I'm confident that I'll be able to get continuing support as I need it. I'm finally over my embarassment and shame for getting this surgery-- there is NONE of that in this office-- and I'm looking forward to it only getting better! read more

Dr. Monash did my mom's gastric sleeve in January, she is now 86lbs down! Full of energy and life! He has been amazing through the whole process. Very informative and answers any and all questions we had. He is very supportive and knows what's best for his patients and works hard to make sure they have best care possible. I FEEL LIKE I GOT MY LIFE BACK. Through gastric by-pass and Dr. Monash's skill and knowledge I have lost 73 LBS and still losing. It has only been 7 months since the surgery. I am able to move and be active again,Just walking to my mail box I would be out of breath. Now my husband and I walk 3 miles 4 days a week. Just the little things in live that some people take for granite like just crossing your legs was impossible for me. Or just finding clothes that would fit. Because of my weight loss I was able to really enjoy my vacation. Just sitting in an air plane sit would have been so uncomfortable. I was able to go snorkeling, getting on and off a boat that would have been impossible before surgery. Because of Dr. Monash and his wonderful staff that walked through the process. Their companion and understanding about being over weight was so comforting. The education I got was wonderful.It will help me to continue to loss the weight and to keep it off in a very healthy way. The day I walked into Dr. Monash's office, my life changed drastically....for the better! The staff worked endlessly to get me covered by my insurance as I was a little short for their criteria. Remember this is a process! They eventually agreed to cover this procedure which was back in March 2014. I have lost a lot of weight since then and kept it off. I really couldn't have done this alone! After all I had been doing it "my way" since I was a teenager. Today I feel great and weight is no longer has to be my main purpose in life! This office opened a new location on Ft. Lee in Tucson and is absolutely a wreck! The patients are put through a production line for screening. The day I had an appointment I waited over 90 minutes because they had all sorts of computer problems. To make things worse they did not follow-up with me for 2 weeks regarding the insurance and I found out their website had the worng phone numbers. Absolutely careless and I would not recommend this type of drive thru medicine. read more
