They would not honor their guarantee because they said there was wear on the soles. That is what happens when you walk in shoes, the soles wear down. Just neighborhood dog walking nothing extreme. They tried to blame me for buying the wrong but I had them fitted at that store and bought from that store less than year ago. I am completely disillusioned with REI as they do not honor their own guarantee.

Dan did talk to us, telling us he's short staffed. Sadly, the staff he had "helping" customers don't have a common decency with customer service skills! Tamera should definitely be working at an Amazon warehouse where she doesn't have to approach customers. After my research, it certainly can be the shoe. So I decided to go to Road Runner Sports to see what they would recommend. I didn't mention that I did some research on my own but I did let them know I had calf issues. When I first walked in, I was greeted by the staff and they asked me if they can be of any assistance. I let them know that I was interested in getting new running shoes. They let me know about the process where they would film the way my feet hit the ground to see impact. My walk is filmed while I take a stroll on a treadmill. After, it is reviewed by them and they show me how my feet hit the ground. I then was custom fitted with shoe inserts - optional to buy. Then we looked at some shoe recommendations. I selected a couple pairs to try on. I selected a pair and decided to keep the inserts. The good news is that the inserts were FSA Eligible. I was offered a Road Runner Membership for $19.99 for the first year and $49.99 after the first year. The membership pretty much paid for itself and I would get 10% off purchases all year for me and my family. I've had a few walks and a couple runs and these shoes are really comfy. By the way, the shoe recommendation aligned with my online research.

They had a fairly large selection of shoes for women with enormous feet (me) when I stopped in, and I ended up buying a couple pair. I was really surprised to find a pair of ankle boots on clearance for $17-18--if only they had fit! Lots of what they had (at this time anyway) were heels or wedges which I don't mess with but I found a couple pairs of work-appropriate flats that I could also wear fairly comfortably with a dress if I want. I haven't seen Clarks in Nordstrom Rack in some time, which is a bummer since they're my favorites (so comfy!!), but I'll keep looking. Lots of parking here since it's part of a shopping center.
