Worst experience of my life. I usually buy from this brand…read moreonline, so when I saw the store in the mall, I decided to go in and check it out. Big mistake. You can barely see anything in the store. Imagine walking into a clothing store where you can't clearly see the items or even their colors. The lighting is unbelievably bad. The staff member was friendly and opened a fitting room for me, but the situation got even worse there. The fitting room was completely dark. I literally couldn't see the clothes I was trying on--or even the clothes I was wearing. It took me about 10 minutes just to put my own clothes back on. Is this brand trying to save money on electricity? What is going on? This is unacceptable for a clothing store. I left the clothes there and will never buy from this brand again--not in-store and not online.

I was casually shopping. I'm a previous size 8 recently turned 14 and I'm adding more clothes appropriate to my weight fluctuations. But after waiting in line (due to COVID-19 restrictions), it was not worth the wait. Not sure how it was for the men's, but for the women's selection, it was super limited. You literally would see one tee-shirt in that one color in XS. This was the case for many items. I overheard another customer ask the employee if there was any more stock in the back, and there was not. What's out is out. I guess if you get here the day they release new items there will be more of a selection, but was surprised by the lack of when I visited. The women's area seemed empty. I've been to other J. Crew Factory locations, especially on the east coast, and this one is nothing compared to the others. With how limited the selection is here, I would most likely not wait in line again. I would suggest ordering online and just returning in a regular J. Crew store if items don't work out, instead of banking on this store to have the items you're looking for. However, I find that the quality of items at the factory store compared to a regular J. Crew differs significantly. Unless there's something you're specifically on the hunt for that's offered at the factory, I would just rather spend more money at J. Crew for a higher quality and better item.
