We went here in August of 2011 (before Yelp was in Norway) because it was recommended by the Bergen for Locals iPhone App and by Rick Steve's. The atmosphere was pleasant with lots of old pictures of Bergen. The large windows overlook the Fish Market. We had a window seat on a Friday night and it was interesting to watch the groups of partiers who were dressed in matching costumes from our perch.
You choose a table, get the table number from the mat on the table, and order and pay at the counter, and then they bring your food. We had the reindeer patties (169 Kroner) and the trout with a sour cream sauce (149 kroner). Both were really good. We also had 2 glasses of wine for a total cost of 446 kroner.
And, now that time has passed, I still remember this as one of the best meals that we ate in Norway. read more
