The only thing that stays consistent about this places the clean salad bar and the fresh hot food! I've always liked Giant, I'm partial to Giant because I used to work for Giant. Not this location, a totally different one but, I know the brand and the quality that they are providing and I will continue to patronize Giant for the rest of my life! My only wish is that customer service was across the board for the better! But as long as they keep that fresh hot food and that cold salad bar, I'll survive!!

I was really surprised seeing that they charged almost 2,5 times more than the price tag on the display showed for one of the produce item. When I pointed it out to the cashier, the reply was "the price on the display is wrong" - no apology or other explanations or offering me to still charge me accordingly to what the tag said. They just called someone to change the tag. When I asked about the manager or someone in charge, they said that no one there is available. Instead of appreciating customers and trying to be nice, they just simply don't care.

Kale was priced at 1.49 per pound but they were all out (2/4/23). At Giant Kale is $2.99 a pound right now! Not a huge selection of lettuce. They only had romaine in a package. Fresh herbs priced at 1.99 a pack. Loose potatoes, onions and tomatoes reasonable priced. Huge selection of Hispanic snacks, seasonings, canned goods. Some are the same you'd see in the grocery's store but there's a nice selection of seasonings and sauces I've never seen before. There's also small kitchen and butcher. I haven't tried that section or the food yet but next time.

I will say that I appreciate that prices are fairly reasonable and there are quite a few international items that you won't typically find at local grocery stores. The store itself is fairly large and the layout is nicely designed with bright lighting. Food options are decent and who doesn't appreciate that bakery? But... there's some serious room for improvement. The checkout experience can be a total nightmare - endless lines with one or two lines open. Very frustrating. What's even more so is when lines abruptly close as you walk up! There's never anyone restocking, so when meats and produce run out, that's it until the next day. (They really could learn from the Trader Joe's business model). However, I did witness something promising this evening... THREE cashiers on duty at the same time! Let's hope that feedback from the community steers their service in a good direction.

Staff is always friendly and there was an incident where we were trying to pick up our order at the wrong one, but they were very nice and helped us get to this Giant to pick up. I like their gluten free options as they have basically the same variety as Wegman's without the bit more travel time. The prices have always looked good to us when we go in. The place is always clean when we go in. I have seen some fruit flies, usually in the onion section, but with automatic doors and produce, those things can't always be avoided. The deli counter has a bunch of options that I'd never heard of before and thats neat. Two things I wish they had: Beef Bacon and I haven't seen Chuck Roast there any time we've been there. Other than that, this is our regular grocery visit for weekly grocery shopping. It can be a bit hard to get to if you're not familiar with the area and we weren't at first, but now we've got the hang of it. Oh! I also really like that I can use the scanners and scan as I go. Then we just go to self checkout and we've already got everything bagged in our reusable bags, so no need to wait in a line to be checked out by someone when in a hurry.

Geresbeck's has been a staple in east Baltimore county for decades! This is the only place I go for…read morecrab meat, shrimp, lobster, packaged & baked goods and now- WESTERN FRIES!!! Geresbeck's has the best sales in town when it comes to seafood. The shrimp is always cheap & they steam on site. On a recent visit while waiting for my shrimp to be steamed, I took a walk around the market to see what else I could buy. Geresbeck's has a great speciality ice cream section. They had my favorite Taharka Brother's honey graham ice cream and some other tasty choices. I ended up in the bakery department and saw SO MANY delicious looking baked goods from a peanut butter Boston crème cake to banana pudding parfaits to mini cheesecakes. Their doughnuts are huge and made with the love of someone that loves to bake. I took quite a bit of photos showcasing their selections. As I walked through the store, I started to get a little hungry for a snack. I came back around to the deli/hot foods department and saw a mountain of tasty looking western fries. Now, western fries are extremely popular in Baltimore and the surrounding counties. I've had my share of western fries from the center of the city, to Brass Hen in Eastpoint mall, to even Royal Farms. All were delicious, BUT THESE FRIES WERE ABSOLUTE LOVE AT FIRST BITE!!! They were crunchy like a piece of fried chicken and tender inside like a fluffy baked potato. Omg, I can taste them right now. They were so, so amazingly yummy. If you love potatoes, or any variation of fries, you'd LOVE these. I actually may go back very soon for a fix. I didn't need salt, pepper, ketchup, NOTHING. Now, for my only gripe about Geresbeck's is that I wouldn't necessarily buy goods outside of the seafood, bakery or specialty items. I found that other items in the store, unless on sale, are higher priced than other grocery stores. But they have to counterbalance that with the affordable seafood prices, right? Anyways, if you're in the area, stop by and pick you up some delicious doughnuts and western fries while you're there. Geresbeck's is a piece of nostalgia that will make you feel like you were back in a time when everything was simpler and easy. They will always be solid with me.

Sometimes it isn't very well mixed and there can be salty spots in your sweet pie. But as for butcher shop meats it is very good.
