We tend to try and stick to mid evening as the crowds die down a bit and they are not quite into their horrible restocking mode. Generally you can find fresh products and a wide selection of near everything (do not come to this Tescos if you are looking for home goods/ electronics/ etc). The prices as it is Tescos are decent. The staff are generally friendly as long as you're not getting the end of shift crowd. For groceries, though, it's got a lot to offer. Fruit and veg are of good quality and usually well-stocked. The deli and fresh fish counters offer a lot of choice, and they even have a large 'Polish food' section. They have two 'car trolleys' which amuse small (and big) kids greatly, and make the shopping trip easier with children who are too big for the trolley seats but too small to walk all the way around without whining. That said, they do have a good range of things, most of which are brands we don't usually see in this country. What they sell can be incredibly cheap, last time I got an avocado for 17p and and a mango for 20p, and they were both tasty enough and kept fine. One downside to this place is that the car park is small and there have been queues to get in. Also, they don't seem to have the trolleys that you can put your baby car seat in, so it's not quite as easy as some other supermarkets. But worth stopping by for a few cheap goodies.

ASDA now has added electronic self serve tills to my local store allowing you to scan your own shopping, great fun!! lol Asda not only sell groceries but sell electronics, cd's, books, clothes, and I could go on forever. Recently ASDA have started to put more things on offer, it had previously simply aimed at customers by being the cheapest but now have offers such as 2 for 1. Keep an eye out as you can get some brilliant bargains on roll back! Most asda stores now sell petrol too, which you can pay at the pump - great for if you have a baby with you that you don't want to leave alone. Overall I love ASDA, shame they don't do BOGOF items though!!

They cater for a large variety of cultures, have plenty of low priced goods and ongoing well chosen special offers. The rest of their prices are affordable and their service is excellent. They even have a sheltered fresh fruit and veg area in front of the store! They are crowded but fitting such a variety of goods in more than makes up for it. They have an area near the door with a properly secure place to tie your dogs monitered by cameras. You can actually stand at the counter watching them yourself if you like. The entire storefront is monitered by cameras watched constantly by staff behind the counter (and believe me, they do so constantly) so bicycles are also safe and secure. There's easy disabled access and parking's not too bad. There are bus stops either side on both sides of the road each only a minute's walk away. I could say so much more and it's all good but I shall leave with a last reminder of their excellent, prompt and friendly service. There's never a queue for long in this wonderful corner shop.

The owners are friendly and are willing to find things for you that have been put away near closing or to give you a reduced price if near the products sell by date.

The cafe has been relocated to the new upper floor but is woefully short of toilets, a whole two and they're both intended for the diasbled however a wheelchair user would need to run the gauntlet of the tray carrying cafe customers and the closely placed tables in order to use them. To say the layout wasn't very well thought out is a bit of an understatement. Unfortunately the store also has a thriving home delivery service which has expanded into the carpark. Shoppers use the free parking spaces at Tesco to visit the newly built Eagles Meadow Shopping Mall which is opposite the store making parking in what was already a small carpark almost impossible on a saturday. At peak times you'll be queuing to get in and queing to get out.

From tea to Indian snacks and savouries to cereals, these are some of the things you can buy from this supermarket. This is an excellent store for the locals and those living in Birmingham. To top it all off, the staff are top class here and they will help you out. If you do need guidance on any of the products at this supermarket, they will be there. There is car parking on-site and parking will be free for an hour. After that you will be charged £1 for every hour.

I had visited several locations while in London and they are all laid out roughly the same, making it easy to find what you need. They are slightly cheaper than posh smaller markets, but it is a standard chain grocery store, so quality is a little less for meat, fruit, veggies, etc. There are quite a few around London and its outskirts, so never had an issue while visiting, which is great. All and all, I overall was quite happy with my visits.

It was interesting visiting an English grocery store. First of all this particular store was…read moresmaller than the ones in the United States. Also, English grocery stores aren't laid out the same. For example cookies might be in multiple locations rather than one designated "cookie aisle." Also it was interesting because you had to pay for a shopping cart. They did have a limited number of hand baskets. If they ran out of hand baskets, people would use the bags they brought and add there items into the bags. Then remove them when they got to the counter. It was nice because there weren't long lines, and they had a lot more self-serve kiosks than my local American grocery store.
