Great value for the money, clean welcoming friendly staff highly recommend this place if you want to stretch a paycheck

I was in the area and saw Lidl Grocery Store nearby. This was my first time shopping here and I was happily surprised by the low prices. This place reminds me of Aldis because they have similar food products and inexpensive prices. The aisles are long. They have a large selection of vegetables, meats, snacks and spices. Many selections are organic. I bought about 5 spices, each cost $1.95. They sell quality raw meat too. I bought the Farmers Focus Brand organic chicken wings for $4.75 and chicken thighs for $5.00. In all, if you like Aldis, you'll like shopping at Lidl. Don't forget to download the Lidl App. I got $5.00 off my first order. read more

Lidl - the store we shop at is on MacDade Blvd in Ridley. It's spacious and and has high ceilings. It's a bit different from shopping at Acme; 1) you have to bring your own bags; 2) you have to bag your own groceries; and 3) there isn't really a butcher there. Having said that, there are a great many deals to be had here. Many things are cheap and in the aggregate you can do well shopping here. read more

I went there for one item that I needed & wasn't even aware of what they actually carry. The veggies & fruit are an excellent buy. The sales are great. The agents walking the floor are extremely helpful & welcoming. I highly recommend them to everyone read more

? How do you improve on perfection ? Obviously you can't. And Lidl please don't try to because you've got this right. Imagine a bit of Trader Joe's with Aldi's prices. The store setup is a bit of both. I want to shout out " THIS PLACE IS GREAT" Clean, wide aisles. 2 people can actually get down an aisle without the usual step aside and allow to pass dance at other grocery stores. Shelves are well stocked and pleasing to the eye. Workers here are friendly and helpful. The parking lot is huge and navigable. Prices are reasonable and fair for quality items. The icing on the cake is they provide you with NEXT weeks flyer as you leave the store. And it's of course also posted online. I've taken this a few times and planned meals ahead to save time. Lidl--- you've got me for life! read more

I first found this store while in Paris in the area of 'Rosa Parks ' not too far from the train stop of that very name, about two blocks. I was able to purchase great snacks for my room while on vacation and a great pair of espadrilles with sequins for $5 the equivalent of $5 US. This store in Delaware County is much larger with food, clothes and general supplies. For the most part the prices are reasonable or on par with other markets. However I did find some fruits and vegetables slightly pricey. But it's balanced by decent prices for organic items. This store sells organic meat, bread etc. The bakery has a variety of freshly baked goods, rolls, bread and delicious cookies. These items are buy one get one 1/2 off. I will surely make a point to adjust my travel to get in some discount shopping! read more

Wow! Great to finally have a Lidl in PA! Consistent layout (this is my ninth Lidl) and easy to find what I need, fast. In store bakery is a plus. Probably bad for weight loss goals though. Good organic choices too. Check it out. read more

I love Lidl! You never know what you're going to find here and it's the easiest trip to the grocery store you can have. Very helpful and attentive staff and always clean. I'll certainly keep coming back! read more

I knew of the name Lidl somehow by visits to foreign countries and seeing it mentioned in online articles compared to Aldi's. Think of Lidl as simply a slightly more upscale version of Aldi's and with a European style bakery. I was glad when the first one in the area came to my area. They have a European style bakery- not a lot of sugar- fits in well with people who like Asian style bakery too. The Apple turnovers are a favorite. You also come here for quality frozen fish- Salmon from Norway. You pay a bit more for the Norway, but I'm satisfied with the flavor. There's great variety here- especially if you are not picky. If you are picky, and if this place doesn't work for you, you're too picky. They sell seasonal/let's try to sell this items such as caramel salted apple cider and frozen Detroit style pizza, and little things like that that keep me coming back for more. read more

My favorite supermarket. Very nice bakery. Lidl-branded products are way cheaper than the average competing products. Nice staff.

First, I love the architecture and look of this building from the outside. It really contrasts with the rest of McDade Avenue, which is dated and/or rundown. I was surprised how busy it was on a Tuesday afternoon, I guess the word is out. The first thing that hits you when you get out of the car is the smell of baked goods. Do they pump out that smell from the bakery? In any case, the prices weren't bad on those, so I grabbed some. The inside doesn't match the splendour of the outside, but thats ok, we're here to bargain shop. The staples like milk and produce are cheaper than other stores. They have some non-grocery items (which you didn't know you needed) which are well-priced also. I was only disappointed that they didn't have more European/German items. Specifically, I was hoping to find Hero jam, and marzipan, but they were nowhere to be found. Maybe too pricey for them to stock? Still, won't keep me from going back. read more

Watch out Aldi a new store is in town. This just opened market is another German import. Similar format as Aldi but on a larger scale. This store is quite big. It has plenty of room to move around and is well lit. Unlike Aldi they bake their bread on site. The bread is delicious. I got three hot out of the oven baguettes for a sale price of seventy five cents. They were crunchy and delicious. The regular price is $1.12 per loaf. The other items like rolls and whole wheat bread looked delicious. The fruit and vegetables were nicely laid out and were fresh and inexpensive. Also unlike Aldi they carry a number of brand name items. The store carries a number of imported food items. A nice selection of Italian lunch meats and cheese all reasonably priced. I purchased a 16oz bottle of Extra Virgin Olive Oil for $3.99. It was delicious on that bread with the lunch meat and cheese when I got home. They have a nice selection of non food items like clothing, tools and small electronics, sort of like a small Costco. Like Aldi you need to bring your own bags or purchase them there. I really like this new addition and will make it one of my regular shopping shops. read more

This place is great! Better selection than Aldi. Although the meats are pricey, they make up with it on great deals of everything else. They have a cute little bakery when you walk in, tons of produce. Would recommend 100%. The customer service was fantastic! I everyone created me, said good morning, the cashier also apologized about their truck being late, for the lack of certain items. Check the place out! Late hours too! read more

Lidl - ALL THIS FOR $50.00! - Grocery Near Me - Folsom, Pennsylvania

The bakery selling freshly baked rolls and pastries reminded me of the grocery stores in the Netherlands. The protein bread rolls make great sandwiches. The stack crisps were cheap and good. Checking out was fast. Just bring your own reusable shopping bags. I also bought a bag of organic honeycrisp apples which were juicy and much cheaper than at the supermarkets. The store is bright, clean and well-organized. Lidl is a great addition to the area! read more

Lidl - Spacious aisles - Grocery Near Me - Folsom, Pennsylvania

Every week the Folsom PA store has many products in the weekly circular that are never in stock or out of stock. The low advertised sale prices get you in the store, and then you can't buy many of the items on sale. Every week it is the same story. They never got that item in stock for the sale, or it was not in any of the truck deliveries for that week to restock the sale items. When you talk to the Managers they could care less. Bad attitude towards the customer. Even worse, they tell you store policy is no rainchecks and they do not substitute any products for the sale items that are not available. Even when they have the same item in a smaller size they won't substitute the item. This week they had baby back pork ribs, family size 48 oz. on sale for $12.99. In the sale section they had an overabundance of the smaller 24 oz. size of the same exact product for $8.99. These 24oz size ribs were both in the regular meat section and in the sale section. So, I asked the manager if they would sell me two of the 24 oz. to replace the one 48 oz. size since they never received the 48 oz. size for the sale. I said since the 24 oz. size were overflowing in the sale section, they must have been delivered to the store for the sale, since the 48 oz. size were not available to be delivered. With a bad attitude she told me the store policy was no substitutions on sale items. I said this was the same product and only a size substitution. I don't know how she made manager with such a bad and negative attitude. Bottom line, it should be illegal for them to run a sale and not provide either a raincheck or substitution; otherwise they are incentivized not to carry the product on sale. They can just lie and tell you they have products on sale since they never give rainchecks or substitutions. Basically, they have created the perfect scam for advertising sale items and never intending to sell the items. read more

Good store with great prices! *make sure you download the app* This store for me is a bit out the way but the next closest one is 2x the distance. I've only shopped once and it was this past Sunday. I have to advise you that sales start Wednesdays and go thru Tuesdays, and on Sat & Sun they have special weekend deals. I was a bit disappointed because "supplies didn't last" and i don't blame them; in small print on the circular it states no rain checks and signs are everywhere that state "WHILE SUPPLIES LASTS". The prices are so good esp the sales. I def recommend downloading the app and checking out what is on sale and to go on either wed or Thursday bc by Fri and the weekend the best deals are GONE! Other than me being sad about not scoring my listed goods, I did get some good stuff and I love their products. Where else can you get a 24 pack of bottled water for less than $2?!?! The bakery section looks really good and the prices are awesome. I want to compare the LIDL brand snack prices to that of Aldi brand prices. This store does carry more than food, they sell a few home good items, workout clothes, shoes, baby items and some "seasonal/holiday" items. Unlike its competitor, you don't need to bring a quarter to rent a cart, but you do need to bring your own bags unless you would like to purchase one or use a box. My favorite thing about Lidl is going to be the price of their flowers, very cheap very fresh and at this location was well stocked. I keep mentioning the app, and I don't think I need to explain much once you download it you will reap in its benefits! read more

Lidl is amazing! It's cheaper than Trader Joe's, but better quality and selection than Aldi. Since they've opened, Lidl visits have cut my Trader Joe's runs in half, and eliminated my need to go to Whole Foods. My grocery bills are way cheaper now as a result. The produce at Lidl is good quality, but much cheaper than anywhere else nearby. The specials make it even more affordable. For example, last week they have 79 cent avocados! They were large and perfectly ripe with no waiting and no bad spots when I cut into them. They also had some unripe ones if you wanted to stock up. I love the sustainably caught seafood at low, low prices. I mostly eat veggies and seafood, so shopping here meets 90% of my needs. From shishitou to sea scallops, there is always something tasty and affordable on the menu. The bakery is also really convenient, and I love being able to get fresh bread. The weekly limited items are so much fun. My favorite weeks are Greek week and Spain week. They have both good ingredients to cook with to make you own creations such as haloumi cheese and anchovies and plenty of prepared frozen foods like spanokopita and patatas bravas as well. That's not all! Lidl carries other random non-food items every week. For back to school week I got cheap notebooks (less than 30 cents each!) and pencils. I picked up some $5 leggings this week. Just remember to bring your own bag, and you'll have a good shopping trip. If you forget, you can also purchase bags there pretty cheaply. I'm so happy Lidl has made it to southwestern PA. See you next week, Lidl! read more

Ok. Wanted to hit tHis Lidl for the firrst time to see what was different from other food markets. Their prices arent thAt bad. The store was neat, clean & tidy as well. The fruit & veggies were definitely fresh & there was a great variety of organic produce as welll. The meat had a sign stating that it's always fresh & not frozen. They do however have frozen prodUcts as well. I did notice they don't have oat milk but had soy & regular milk. Not only do they have food & grocery íes but they also sell many other items as well. The items consisted of kitchen appliances, some clothing, automotive items as well as tools. They also have toiletries & pet food. The reason I gave 3 stars is because they dont have the motorized seated shopping carts for the Disabled. So navigating tHe store can be very difficult. In place of those, they had wheelchairs. The wheellchairs would require another person pushing you as well as pushing the cart. I hope they incorporate motorized carts in the future to accommodate the disabled. read more

Having worked in the supermarket industry for almost 30 years, and having lived in Germany, I was doubly excited to check out the new Lidl store freshly built in my neighborhood. Back in the 90s in a small village in Germany, I was amazed at the concept of Lidl with its low prices and bare bones shelf stocking. Aldi actually hit these shores first and ive been a fan, but Lidl may have done a better job biding it's time and putting out a better product. The store is beautiful and run with German precision. Same set up and low prices as Aldi but seems to have more of a selection and is a bit more open. Aldi can be claustrophobic. Also, Lidl has a fresh bakery in which they're pumping out some quality breads and pastries. This, from a former bakery manager so its a professional opinion. The handful of groceries I bought totaled about a 1/3 of what they woukd have been in a traditional grocery store. And I thought it woukd be crazy but i was able to go right up to a cashier and get right out. And if you dont know, either bring bags or pay for a few of their sturdy carry bags. No waste here with paper or plastic. Overall, unless you have to have name brand products (fun fact: you don't, the product found here is of BETTER quality than your average name brand) you don't need to go to the Acmes, Giants, etc anymore. It will be interesting to see how Lidl affects the supermarket business as a whole. My guess is for the better. Definitely make time to check this place out. You will not be disappointed. read more

So, THIS is what an Upscale Aldi looks like! The food prices are good. And, the quality is something that I definitely can't complain about. The store is a lot smaller than you'd think, though. There are fewer shelves in the store, because a good 35% of the shopping area is full of stuff you'd find in a Ross Store, like waist trimmers, and storage racks. But, all in all, I can't complain, because I'm getting plenty of what I want, with no hassle, and it's at a good quality and price. read more

1st let me say that I like Lidl. The prices are good and they have a good selection of products. They try to keep the shelves stocked but the do run out of their sale items fairly regularly. Why only 2 stars. They have the worst checkout system of any store I've been in. I've been shopping there since they've opened and have only ever seen 2 cash registers open at any one time. They do have self checkout stations but those do not accept cash. This often causes huge backups at the registers while the self checkouts are empty. On more than 1 occasion I have walked out of the store because the lines were too long at the cashiers. I'm sure they know the most efficient way to run their stores but if the self checkouts accepted cash, the lines would move much quicker with happier customers. read more

This place is my new jam! The prices are so low that I made my husband look up the company just to make sure they were not shortchanging their employees. They aren't. They keep costs low by keeping products in the boxes they were shipped in and very simple displays. It's a smaller selection than other grocery stores, but they have a pretty substantial gluten-free section and you can walk up and down the isles and find random items together. read more

Lidl is a great grocery store and much welcomed in the area. The store is quite large and open, don't expect an experience like Shoprite or Giant with tons and tons of aisles and shelves that tower over you. Lidl has an open and airy feel where you can see the far reaching back corner of the store as soon as you walk into the entrance. The prices for most goods are very inexpensive but some items like milk are actually a bit more money than competitors in the area. For instance, a gallon of skim milk at Lidl is about 50 cents more than Giant brand skim milk. Other than that, prices are quite low for their in-house branded products, especially the spices. I love how you can get many different spices for less than a dollar and large sea salt grinders for about $1.50 whereas other stores charge upwards of $3-$5 for the same thing with less quantity. In terms of meats and poultry, prices are reasonable, wouldn't say they are ridiculously cheaper than other grocers, but if you are only making one stop, you can find what you need at Lidl. One thing I did notice the two times I've already been is a lack of disposable dinnerware ie. plastic cups, plates, utensils. I'm not sure if I just wasn't looking in the right places, but of note, could not find. I will absolutely visit again but I think Lidl will always be my first stop to get some essentials and then pick up the remaining few things at my regular grocery store. Also, Lidl has an app with coupons, so check that out for more savings. I've also received printer coupons after checking out in the self-check out that are $5 off $25 for the next shopping trip. So it's nice that you can get these bonuses too. Last tip, bring your own grocery bags - you can buy them in-store, but just note they are not included. read more

This place rules. If it had a book and magazines section it would have gotten all 5 stars. Not bad for what they do have. Super helpful staff. Very freindly. Just bring a bag or 2 if you plan on getting a lot of things. Home Depot is in the back of it. If you gotta go to the bathroom go there. Im not sure Lidl has a public restroom. I am going to leave two reviews, a 2-star review and a 4-star review rather than a 3-star review because there is a lot to like about the Lidl on MacDade Blvd but also a lot to dislike. WHAT IS NOT TO LIKE We have shopped there about a dozen times now, at different times of the day and on different days of the week, and the shelves are often not kept stocked. How can they be out of English muffins and bread half the time? The store seems generally understaffed, with too few register aisles open, too few stock clerks, and rarely a manager in sight. We recently had a problem with the self-checkout (you know how those things can be). It was summoning a manager and we waited 10 minutes for someone to show up. They never did. Some of the people working the registers seem to have been trained to throw the items roughly down the belt as fast as they possibly can, without regard for whether they're causing cartons of berries to spill open, say, or smushing a soft item, like a loaf of bread, by tossing a heavy bottle of laundry detergent on top of it. It is as if they were being judged on speed and speed alone. Their vegetarian and meat-alternative offerings are very limited. The choice of name-brand items is rather limited too. We're willing to switch to Lidl brand in most situations, but not all. WHAT'S TO LIKE The prices are good. Sometimes the savings are excellent. They have unusual items you won't find at Giant or Acme. The fresh rolls at the bakery. read more

Best grocery store hands down if you are a good cook and do not rely on frozen foods for your dinners. Good fresh veggies and fruits with organic selections and fresh meats sourced from not too distant states. Imported cheeses and meats are fabulous. I love the hard goods too. We've gotten some great electronics, small appliances, toys, outdoor supplies, kitchenware and holiday goods at great prices and great quality. The clothes wash and wear beautifully and are a tremendous bargain. We've been eating some really fabulous dinners that we couldn't afford before. What can you say about this interesting store? Well I can say they have a great selection of great foods. I love the layout too. Very open, not cluttered in appearance. Makes for a warm and unhurried shopping. Would like to see more organic meats with far greater selection of lunch meats that do not contain sodium nitrate. The produce is fresh and very delicious, but even the organics are not locally sourced, so if that is important to you, you are going to be disappointed. The employees are awesome as far as my experiences have gone. We as consumers, are in a market world of cashierless shopping experiences so its nice to see the traditional cashier in service at their aisles. However... The bag your own groceries down the double conveyor system makes me want to climb a high tower with a rifle. I do not like to be rushed and made to bag my own groceries! Hurried as the next person in line is bearing down on me... I like everything else. read more

Very pleased with the meats and salmon I purchased there. Prices are really good! Nice produce selection.

This store was well stocked when they first opened. However, the store has definitely declined since. One of the products that kept me going back to Lidl was their salmon. Now they hardly ever have it in stock, especially when it's on sale. Today is January 2nd the first day of the new sale and a large selection of products that are in the sale ad aren't even in store; green giant cauliflower pizza crust, fit kitchen protein bowls, green giant protein bowls, pict sweet riced cauliflower and pict sweet steamed vegetables, frozen dole pineapple chucks, beyond meat beef crumbles and nearly everything else that is listed in the "better for you" section of their sale ad. Most people vow to try to be healthier at the beginning of each new year. Apparently Lidl doesn't care enough about their customers to recognize this. I will take my business to Aldi or another of Lidl's competitors that actually stock what they advertise. read more
