    Pistachio Ice Cream, single scoop

Cute place with reasonable prices. The outdoor seating is okay, nothing fancy. I mostly come here for the convenience, price, and the pistachio ice cream. It's the best flavor I've tried so far.

It was our first time and we stopped by after lunch at Johnny's Reef. We read on this dessert place I am article online about its local charm. The service was really great and I got two scoops of coffee fudge ice cream, which came out to around $4.75. My son got the birthday flavor which unfortunately he said was too sweet. All in all, good local place and a must try for passers. There is a eating seating area.

Cute little ice cream shop right in the middle of the city island strip. The people who live next door own it. They have different ice cream flavors and for a really cheap price. This place reminds me of the 1950s lol. It's so cute and they play a nice little playlist from back in the day. They have outdoor seating available as well. Perfect to come after eating all the seafood you can eat

Though there are other ice cream spots in City Island, none have the uniqueness that Lickety Split has. Seems like Lickety Split has kept their doors opened for ages with different ownership. But most recently, Louise has kept it in control for the last 11 years. It's an old-fashioned 'home' exterior decor, with white tables and cotton candy-color cushion chairs. Interior is very confined. At most, a few people can move comfortably. I remember quite well, the many times I'd come here and had to stop for ice cream. And coming here brought nostalgia. But sadly, their ice cream is not proprietary to Lickety Split. It's Breyer's...and there was nothing artisanal or truly satisfying, except that it's locally owned and a staple here. That's it. (Lickety, doesn't have the physical space to make their own ice cream). With its history, the only thing I wanted to do was enjoy a lazy summer evening with my chocolate ice cream cone, instead I was bored.

Cutest ice cream joint ever! You can't beat the charm of the tiny house that serves ice cream. I've been a customer for years ever since my dad started his City Island bus route. The ice cream is oh so yummy and sitting outside on heart shaped chairs in their pretty little garden just screams a thousand Instagram photos. This is definitely a place worth a visit.

I was walking down City Island Avenue and noticed this place right away. This small wooden old fashioned ice cream shack has a cool exterior. It is $2.00 for a kiddie size portion or $2.75 for a small portion. I opted for a small, which was a good portion. However, the ice cream itself is just Breyer's ice cream - the same stuff you can find in a grocery. There is not a big variety of flavors either. However, it is okay to stop by to enjoy the charm if anything.

The cheesecake I added didn't taste so fresh so that I didn't like. The way to pay here is by the pound so it's very easy to go over $10 if you get carried away. You are then charged according to the weight of the cup. There is no sign anywhere to say what the prices are for the froyo or that the prices are determined by weight or what the rate is ($2 per oz?). I'm not sure how that's legal. I watched as customer after customer was shocked when they were being charged $17 and $20 for frozen yogurt. Also, when another customer was showing my mom how to use the machine, she licked her fingers and then placed them on the same lever that other customers have to touch. That was disgusting. People are licking froyo off their fingers and then touching levers and spoon handles, so keep that in mind when you come to these types of places.

Before we headed out, we called to see if there was a wait because we had 4 hungry kids. Whoever we spoke with over the phone said there was no wait right now. Mind you, we were only 15 mins away. When we got there, there was about 15 parties in front of us and was told it would be an hour to an hour half wait. We were all furious but what can we do? I knew coming there would be a wait. But to say there wasn't one over the phone, it got us very disappointed. lol By passing that situation, we waited 55 minutes. It was all smiles from there once we got seated lol Everything was so GOOD. I love their kalbi short ribs and beef bulgogi. It's probably the best for AYCE I've ever had. They had something else that was labeled "Lamb Chop". It was so good. Love how everyone gets their own hotpot and for the grilling, there is one big grill in the middle. For $34pp, it's so worth it. Service though, it wasn't the greatest. So, from most of the bad reviews for this location, I can say it's accurate lol don't get me wrong, our waitress was nice and friendly but for us to keep asking for things like napkins, water, and changing the grill, it was quite annoying to wait around. It cuts down on your two hour limit. Overall, I would 10/10 come back. Staff is all nice. Just a little adjustment here and there would make me LOVE this place even more lol Thank you
