The first time she was not prepared; however, the next three times she had perfected everything the test would ask for. Yet each time the examiner would find the smallest thing to fail her... sometimes without any explanation. After the third test, the examiner only said "your right turn felt a little wide" and I had to go in with her to get some actual feedback, and even that felt forced on their end. Meanwhile, I've seen multiple people pass the test who clearly butchered the parallel parking or some other aspect - the only difference being they were white, and my girlfriend isn't. We will be going to a different site for the 5th test. I highly recommend doing the same if you don't fall into their category of a "good driver".

My 29 year old son bought a used car from Walser Honda in Burnsville, MN a week before he died in a…read moretragic camping accident. It took 19 months for Walser to provide the title to the vehicle, forcing his parents to keep his estate open, unable to transfer the car to his sister. I called, emailed, wrote, sent certified letters; to no avail. Enter Crossroads Auto License Bureau. As his father and heir, it was my problem to solve. I asked the staff at Crossroads Auto License Bureau for help. They told me what to do, gave me the proper forms, called the right State staff to audit Walser, and kept a file open at their desk for the months it took to get it done. Then they would not take any fee at all for their services. They didn't want me to bring them cookies, as we all fight our weight. I will be their loyal customer for life.

I bet you received your refund and within a much quicker time period than you expected, as we all were wondering how long we may have to wait for our refund. I have had my taxes done with Darlene Haack for over 40 years. Greg Nelson takes care of my retirement accounts (running with a software he wrote and made himself.) Darlene Haack continues to take care of my personal and small business income taxes. Bill Groby has since passed on, bless his soul. I know there are more than 1500 of us that have been with Darlene Haack for many, many years - as we all were nervous switching from Haack Tax to Strategic. It was a smooth process and now have our income taxes and all retirement and financial planning completed in one place, by amazing, dedicated, and efficient people.

I want to caution individuals considering having your taxes done at Strategic Tax & Retirement…read more Bill Groby prepared our 2015 taxes in April 2016. We had a refund on the federal income tax. He emailed me an e-file form to sign and I specifically stressed the importance of receiving a check versus a direct deposit into an account over a couple of telephone calls as well as the utmost necessity of this. Bill reassured me he was unchecking a box on his end so the direct deposit would not happen and a check would be sent. A direct deposit was done anyway. When I called to question him, Bill's response was it was an error. This firm's service is very untrustworthy and unethical dealing with your finances.

When I leased my car, my sales representative recommended heading to State Farm across the street…read more I remember driving down and around to get there, and having my insurance set up for my new car before getting to drive it. The process was painless. I recall sitting there before working with a knowledgeable woman to get my insurance plan drafted. I wasn't there long. She gave me a huge road atlas, which was my driving bible that guided me along my numerous road trips. I wore my atlas down so much that it looked beat up. I noticed recently that I still have a neon keychain from Bruce Fujan State Farm with a coiled end that acts as a wrist strap. It doesn't glow in the dark, but it's so bright that it should! I paid for insurance monthly. It came out of my chequing account each month and was perfect for my needs as a new resident of Rochester. I had my car for three years. Terminating my insurance plan was straightforward when my lease was nearly over. I called and had it all set up. It was nice to stop by last week and still see my former insurance company still there. I remember getting nice Christmas cards from this place each year, which was a nice gesture. Luckily, I never had to file an insurance claim during my entire lease. If you do need an insurance agent in Rochester, I'd recommend coming here. I had an excellent experience. (2)
