They had treated themselves prior to their visit to be proactive, however they just didn't feel right! We called Lice Clinic and I explained to Chris what we were experiencing! He suggested we all come in to be screened and shared their process of removing lice. Our 3 family members, my husband, 11 month old son and I went in-- he made an appointment as soon as we were ready, the same day and within 2 hours of our phone call. He checked the baby first, so carefully and cautiously, then myself and our family! Unfortunately our family had a case of the nits and lice and were treated so professionally! He gave me clear instructions on how to treat our car and our house!!! The store was clean, beautiful and so comfortable in a time of anxiousness! We really appreciate Chris and highly recommend him and his business.

Thank you for your help and relieving us of this stressor! I highly recommend Lice Clinics of America - Alexandria.

TLDR; look at the pro tip at the bottom…read more Are they pricey? A bit. But I was already out about $50 in lice removal products that 1) did not work and 2) my kid screamed through for HOURS, plus 3) they were recommended by the pediatrician AND the school nurse; so gave it a shot. I didn't love that they distracted my preschooler from a no-TV household with videos, but it was effective in keeping her still enough to treat. And after checking the rest of the household they didn't try to sell us on removal services that only one kid needed, which was great. (They did urge me to recommend the $25 head check to close contacts, but that didn't seem unreasonable under the circumstances). They also provide a clearly written fact sheet (with attached request to provide a review [eyeroll]), which dispels some persistent internet myths about the level of house cleaning required after lice are discovered, and they were patient answering follow up questions. A bit of upsell on products but not too bad, and the pressure to provide a review is a bit obnoxious but not worse than some other businesses in the community. A week in, so far so good, the treatment seems to have done its job. I may modify this review if there's a recurring problem right after the 30 day guarantee expires, but for now I feel like they earned the sought-after 5 stars. Pro tip - there's a 30 day guarantee and screenings are M-F 10-12. So, if you have a treatment, before leaving the salon or shortly after schedule a screening for late within the 30 day guarantee window; in the likely event the school calendar includes a holiday or a professional day falling late within the 30 days you can schedule the screening for that M-F day off. You can always cancel if something changes but it keeps you from having to pay twice or having your kid miss school.

Her partner Amy was local to the Northern Virginia area and showed up the next morning as promised and did an excellent job: 1) Amy was very calm, insightful, and guided us nicely (as did Karen remotely) 2) Amy took good care of our family (7 people) and trained us on how to be ready for later stages and if it were to ever occur again. She also showed us with side by side training to save us money since we had a few people and since we need to do it on our own a few days later and provided us with a helpful step by step guide and pictures. I would say that price wise they are a little higher than others BUT totally worth it.
