I've visited this dermatology office three times now, and each visit has been increasingly frustrating. Every time I come in, I have to wait around 15 minutes just to be taken back to the exam room, and once I'm there, it's another 15 minutes of waiting before I'm seen by the dermatologist. Today was the last straw. I arrived at 1:37 PM for my 1:45 PM appointment, only to find myself still waiting at 2:00 PM. I approached the receptionist to ask how much longer it would be, and she informed me that the medical assistant said it would be another 5-10 minutes. Ten minutes passed and I was not taken back until 2:16 PM. I was left sitting in the exam room for another 15 minutes. By 2:30 PM I did not want to wait any longer as I had waited already way past my time. I walked to the front and talked to the front desk. While I do appreciate that Francesca at the front desk was very nice and apologized for this experience, it doesn't change the fact that I had to wait 50 minutes for what was supposed to be a quick follow-up appointment. I work in healthcare as well, and I know sometimes the schedule falls behind. However, 50 minutes + (because if I had stayed I might have had to wait even longer) seems extremely unprofessional. Specially for a simple follow-up.

I am happy I did. The girls at the front are very nice and welcoming, and the wait was only 30 minutes (half of that was spent doing the new patient paperwork). The PA did a thorough job once I was in the room asking what my concerns/needs were for the Dr. Which I thought was nice that I didn't have to tell the receptionist upon booking, since these things are kind of sensitive to talk about to a random person. Dr Brittany came into the room with a big smile. I felt very at ease talking to her and did not feel insecure discussing my dermatology needs and getting half naked to show her LOL. I even told her I picked her because of her smiling face and we both agreed how YELP is so helpful in finding different services. I'd recommend anyone to go see her! And I feel comfort knowing my next appointment will be as good as this one was!

At my most recent appointment, I had been waiting and had still not been seen 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment (this happened at my previous appointment as well). Patients who arrived after me had their appointment, finished, and left. I chose not to wait any longer and canceled my appointment. I will find another dermatology practice and will not return here.

After driving an hour to get there, I was informed upon arrival that my appointment had been canceled. I was told a voicemail had been left, but I never received it. What was most frustrating was that the staff made me feel as though accommodating me was an inconvenience, despite the cancellation being completely outside of my control. The experience only became more disappointing from there. During the treatment, I was told that this was merely a "demo" and that I should not expect any results. At no point in the promotion, booking process, or appointment confirmations was the service described as a demonstration treatment. Had that been disclosed upfront, I could have made an informed decision about whether the trip was worth my time. In total, I spent two hours driving round trip and nearly 1.7 hours at the office for a treatment that I was ultimately told was not intended to produce results. The lack of communication, poor handling of the scheduling issue, and misleading expectations surrounding the promotion left me feeling that my time was not valued. I hope Sanctuary Cosmetics improves its communication and transparency so future clients have a better experience than I did.

I called at around 8:30 p.m. and got a human, and was able to make an appointment for the next morning, which was wonderful. (I'd treated lice myself several years earlier, and was not eager to repeat the hours upon hours of work removing lice and nits.) However, I still spent about 3.5 hours working through my daughter's long, curly hair, and removed about 20 live lice and a dozen or so nits, before giving up and going to sleep. The next morning, the DeLice lady started going through her dry hair, and pulled out about the same number of lice and nits... obviously I hadn't been very thorough. She spent a little over an hour working on her, told me I had done a great job and saved her a lot of work, and said my daughter looked good. She also checked me and gave me a clean bill of health. WELL... that night, after my daughter showered, I went through her hair with a nit comb and pulled out another 3-5 live lice. I immediately called the DeLice Fairy, who again answered the phone at this unusual hour (very nice!), and made an appointment for the following afternoon. My husband took her, and said she found only one nit, and that was all. Several days later, after her shower, I was combing through her hair with the nit comb and found ANOTHER 4-5 live lice, and some nits. I've also found one or two on myself since she told me I was lice-free. I'm frustrated, but I'm not going to bother going back, because I don't believe her process is very thorough, and I don't trust it to do the job. For $95/hour, I expect better. However, the lady was very friendly, sweet with my daughter, and quick to pick up the phone and make appointments, so no complaints from that perspective.

After visiting one other office, we felt most comfortable with Metropolitan Pediatrics. 1. Our first meeting was 1:1 with a doctor as opposed to a meet and greet. We were able to get a personalized experience and get to know their values as well. 2. They do not allow patients that do not follow the CDC guidelines for vaccines. Whatever other people think, we wanted our son vaccinated per CDC guidelines and did not want the possibility of him being near kiddos who are not on the same schedule. 3. Saturday hours!!! 4. Dr. Schultz is the main provider we have seen. We also saw Dr. Ghandi once. All experiences have been amazing! I love how Dr. Schultz is with our son-very caring and gentle. Also worth mentioning Dr. Ghandi was extremely helpful with a billing question we had. 5. Anytime we have called in with a question, no matter how small, the staff is super quick at getting back to us with an answer from the doctor. 6. All staff interaction from the front desk to the medical assistants has been pleasant. 7. The location is metro accessible (Virginia Square) and has street parking that is pretty easy to snag. 8. The only negative (and it's not the practices fault) is that we had one experience where a younger (maybe 5) boy was very much in our infants face and stroller and knocking into it trying to see the fish and this kids mom was clueless on the other (sick kid) side. We tried to say something to the boy but English was not his language so he didn't understand us and when we went to the other side to ask who's kid this was we got a blank stare until the child finally went back to his mother. Overall, we are very happy with Metropolitan Pediatrics and will continue to use them-specifically Dr. Schultz, in the future.

When I arrived a representative for Restylane was trying to get me to sign up for a separate rewards program which would give me an additional $20 off of my service, so I signed up. There was issues with the tablet and it wouldn't actually let me sign up but they still honored the $20 off of my service which was nice. They had free food and drinks and dessert which was perfect because I was starving after a long day at work. I brought my friend who also took advantage of the special for the open house. I filled out paperwork, I got there at 4:30pm and I wasn't seen until 6:00pm, the wait was okay because I was with my friend but if I wasn't catching up with her I would have become frustrated due to the wait. There was no one before me from the time I walked in at 4:30pm so I don't know what was the holdup. I got back into the patient room and there were lots of assistants coming and going as I was having my consultation which was distracting and I didn't know who to focus on, I get easily distracted. Although there was a lot going on I felt like I had the doctors full attention. Also; not important but I did note that my room did not have a TV or music playing like the room my friend was placed in, which is fine but the inconsistency was weird. It made me feel like my money was less important than my friends money who got the bigger room with the extra stuff haha. The doctor was very nice and he let me know when I would feel pinches which was nice to expect. He let me hold a mirror to show him where I thought I needed more/ my opinion. He was done within a few minutes. Also; I wanted a canula to be used, when I called the rep who answered the phone confirmed he would be using a canula but doctor said during the consultation that he uses a blunt needle. This was a bummer because I was misinformed. There were also assistants coming in and out while the actual procedure was happening which was distracting for me as I was trying to focus on relaxing due to the pain. The office in general has very nice employees, the office was clean, although I felt like it was disorganized. My friend was missing some papers from her stack of paperwork, my friend received a nice care gift bag with a post treatment pamphlet and a business card while I had to ask for one. We both received ice packs for our lips which was nice. From what I can see from results looks great. I have a two week follow up appointment that they called and scheduled for me so a follow up call was very nice. I will be going back to this office again for other services in hopes that there are established organizational procedures and keeping visitors who come in and out during a procedure to a minimum.
