*BEWARE***DO NOT RECOMMEND***…read more Stephen Rennells at Ozark Auto LLC spent 4 months assuring me a car we were interested in would be a safe reliable family car, surface rust free and would be put through state safety inspections. He was informed several times that we were desperate to get our two young children into a reliable family car without issues as we are a low income disability family and we're in dire need of a car we could afford. He had it worked on with several mechanics for what he claimed was suspension and subframe replacement. Assured us again it was without surface rust or issues and had passed state safety inspections. Mr. Rennells broke several laws and never had the car inspected by a Missouri state inspector. Sold us a car with concealed rust on both the frame and floor pans. With unbolted suspension pieces and bad brakes. The suspension failed and caused a minor traffic incident which lead to the discovery of rubberized paint covering severe rust rot on the cars frame and floor pans.. Several body shops have stated the car is non repairable to a standard that would be considered safe and or road worthy and yet the dealer refuses a refund despite his blatant lies of the vehicles condition, all of which are fully recorded in writing, and is insistent he did nothing wrong by using fraudulent business practices to sell us the car. He admitted in writing he didn't have the car safety inspected and claims it was legal for him to do so. The Missouri highway patrol division begs to differ as does the DMV and countless other Missouri organizations and agencies. Although asked repeatedly the dealer Stephen Rennells at Ozark Auto concealed important facts about the vehicle and lied when asked about several deciding factors in our financing the car which directly endangered the lives of our children that he was made aware would be in the vehicle for a 5 hour long drive home. Mr Rennells failed to date our contracts correctly, spell my name correctly or provide a state requirement of a safety inspection for the vehicle before the sale of the vehicle as required by Missouri state law. He also failed to sign several contracts and lied about who would hold our financing of the vehicle. It is public knowledge that there are other complaints against his business with the Missouri state attorney generals office with zero retributions having been met through their office. Do not recommend his business as he used false information on his vehicle to get us to purchase which is a fraudulent crime in the state of Missouri and in the United States as a whole and showed little care for the safety of children and families whom he directly placed into said vehicle and lied to and decieved myself and my husband who is a disabled person. The assumed level of trust a consumer is meant to have when buying used cars from a dealer instead of a private party was not even close to being met and our personal experience with this dealer at Ozark Auto is not one we would ever recommend to someone when looking for a trustworthy or reputable honest used car dealership. **Buyer beware**

The latest contact Anthony Rhodes however does seem to be a 'bad actor'. I was considering buying a car from him mainly over the internet. I did speak with Anthony by phone, and negotiated a delivered price with him. I even signed a buying contract with him. Then things began to unravel. Anthony sent along a copy of the title even without me asking. The title showed the car to be in the name of Midtown Motors. I decided to call Missouri DMV to check the title. Turns out the VIN was not in the state's database. The car was shown to be in New York, and the title number was associated with a different car. At this point it was very clear that this was a scam, and that Anthony was hopeful that I would wire the money for the car purchase to him, and he would escape without delivering a car. The Midtown Motors Web site seems to be no longer functional and the associated emails don't work either. Really glad I figured this out before wiring any money. Be careful SCAM ALERT

Shady Car Dealership: Deceptive Practices and Hidden Issues…read more I recently had a terrible experience with Vince Kolb Auto Sales, and I strongly advise everyone to steer clear of this place. They engage in deceitful practices and deliberately hide multiple issues with their vehicles. First and foremost, the dealership flat-out lied about the condition of the car I purchased. They assured me that it had undergone a thorough inspection and was in excellent shape. However, within days of driving it, I started experiencing major problems. It became evident that they had concealed existing issues, including engine troubles, "Head Gasket Blowing within a month of owning not even putting 300 miles on the car," multiple bolts missing, exhaust hangers snapped and misplaced, all exterior clips for engine bay cover missing, oil leak from the side of the cylinder head "then assured they fixed it after returning it once," and even the air filter and BCM mounted incorrectly. Even the key fob missing the key inside of it. Also, the sales manager "Amy" saying she would get me a new one and once again lied to just get me out of the office to make the sale! Also, all splash guards missing, probably from there so called "detailer," that did not know how to put anything back on after taking it off "sad, sad place." Moreover, the car had a history of head gasket problems that the dealership conveniently neglected to mention. It had been serviced when they purchased the vehicle and did not say anything till all these issues had started to occur, resulting in significant engine damage. This information would have greatly affected my decision to purchase the vehicle, but they intentionally kept it hidden. The 2017 Honda Civic even had a super rough idle and a bad shaking stutter under load which again, "they said they fixed or addressed." The customer service at this dealership is abysmal. When I confronted them about the issues, they displayed a complete lack of interest to fix the issues even when finally getting through they said they once again "fixed the issues," but in reality, never did. They were dismissive and uncooperative, making it clear that they prioritized profit over customer satisfaction. Save yourself the headache and financial loss--avoid Vince Kold Auto Sales at all costs. Their dishonesty and deceptive practices are unacceptable. Instead, seek out reputable dealerships that prioritize transparency and customer trust. Don't make the same mistake I did. So many issues that I had with a car that was supposed to be "brand new," instead it is now in the shop for almost a month now getting several issues there "shady mechanics," were already supposed to fix. Obviously being able to tell the job was done by unprofessional people not knowing how to do their job correctly. Go to a different dealership and get your money's worth, don't let these people take your time away and make you without a car like me! If I could give 0 stars I would! Run, Run, Run!
