Bought a cheap dress off Amazon after coming into this shop too close to my wedding date to order…read morefrom here. The window displays were full of fancy gowns and the store has some floor stock which can be purchased off the rack. I really appreciated that Adriana was conservative in her order time approach rather than blowing sunshine to get me to order something that might not arrive in time. I took my chances with the Amazon dress which did arrive timely. It was also workable given how cheap it was and I was so happy when I returned here. Adriana gave me a fitting consult and advised she'd have it ready for me several days before my wedding date, down to the hour of 3:00 p.m. that pickup date. Sure enough, it was ready exactly when she said it would be. I tried it on with my shoes and everything was perfect - hem and upper body alterations. I asked for the leftover fabric pieces to maybe make some matching hair bows or something and they were waiting in my dress bag. With taxes the hem and alterations came out to about $90 which was actually more than I paid for the dress, and it is worth every penny. I asked if she provided pressing service but she doesn't provide that service. She advised me on the proper setting to use if I did it at home as opposed to taking it to a dry cleaner, so I did it at home and it turned out fine. She used to be located down on St. Clair for about 12 years and then moved up to Vaughan about a year or so ago, so while the store is new here, her experience is solid. She has a fantastic interactive website and answered my message immediately from there while my dress was in the shop. She's upbeat and professional, as well as good at her work. I will return anytime I need an alteration done for any occasion.

They even came in on days off to see me when I could not make regular business hours to ensure I got my dress on time. They had to move lace and overlay, fix beading, add cookies and ribbon, and so much more. It was all done perfectly and my dress was an absolute hit! They listened to my concerns, and made sure it fit how I wanted. It was a showstopper, and all thanks to them. Excellent altering requires excellent skill. These ladies have it. You will be charged what their time and expertise is worth, and believe me, it's worth it. As soon as it was ready, I got a text and walked right over to pick it up. I know that you have to pay for good craftsmanship but it is still worth noting that the prices are not on the cheaper side, so review their website and you won't get sticker shock. To hem this gown, it was $75 PER LAYER and surprise, there were three layers... so you can see how these things might up. I was in a rush, so I bit the bullet this time. I would still return for smaller jobs. The space is very lovely, airy, basically conditions you wish all tailors could work in. The prime location is hard to beat (for me) and that is probably also reflected in the costs. Love this spot! Just know you're signing up for.

This is the second time that I have the the owner lady to alter my dress. I just love her service…read morethat I have to add this business and let everyone know how good it is. This business used to located in Markham inside Metro Square. My first experience with this shop is awesome. I bought a chinese mermaid wedding dress (CheungShum) online and it was too big and make me look fat. I was not happy and I finally found this shop while I was shopping for a wedding bouquet at Metro Square. I didn't have too much expectation and thought it should not be worst than how it looked now, so I give it a try. I got changed my wedding dress to show her and she helped me to pin my dress following my body curve carefully and make sure everything is okay. When I finally go pick up my wedding dress, I tried it on and I couldn't believe how good it looks on me. I look a lot thinner on the dress after the alteration. It was so perfect that it showed my curve while I can still able to sit down :). The price that she charged me is more than reasonable and I can tell she really know what she is doing. The turnover time is short too, it is about a week time. She is also willing to accommodate her client's need to give her fast services as I heard she talked to her client and made the dress from scratch in less than a week time for her as she is so upset that she cannot find a dress. My second experience with this shop is a year later that I have my evening dress altered there. To make the long story short, I am a size 6 and I bought a Monogrammed line of Banana Republic dress in size 10 because the length of the size 6 dress in too short that it is like I am wearing a dress for a little girl (even the waist is perfect). Also size 6 is a bit loose on the top body that it doesn't look that good. I still buy this dress since the material and quality is nice even the cutting is terrible. I brought my dress to the same owner lady again for alteration and she moved to the current location almost a year. I tell her my concern and she helped me to pin my dress just like first time. When I go tried on the dress after the alteration, I was so happy and almost burst into tears. I look so good on the dress and it is so perfect!!! This is the best looking dress that I ever have and it is even better than the original. I know the alteration need lots of work and she charged me a very reasonable price ( I think it is rather low considered the work that she need to spend on the dress). I almost want to offer her more money because of her perfect job. Even the inside of the dress look so nice and you cannot tell it is altered. So if you are looking for a seamstress, I think you don't need to look further and I would definitely recommend her to you. I am so happy that I found her and I am so confident in her that she will make me look the best in my dress.
