Mona is a very sweet lady and gave us excellent suggestions throughout the process and recommended using sari fixing, which made draping the sari so much easier and more convenient. We also didn't have fabric for the blouse, but thankfully Mona had beautiful materials available for us to choose from, making the whole process seamless. She did an exceptional job stitching the blouse as it fit perfectly and looked absolutely beautiful. Her attention to detail truly stood out. I went to a boutique in Mississauga to have an outfit custom made for my engagement party. When it arrived the week prior it did not fit at all. I was very worried. The owner of the store recommended Mona to me. Mona made time for me right away and restitched my outfit to perfection. She was kind and understanding. I made the mistake of not reading the reviews and going there. I wanted a suit jacket and trousers downsized. She quoted me the same price other proper shops quoted me. I thought she would provide the same service. Wow was I wrong. She made huge arguments about her design sense etc etc and I was sold. I gave her the jacket on a weekend and told her she can take her time and I was in no rush. She however promised me it will be ready Tuesday. She said she will call me when ready. She never calls. I waited till Friday since no call. I called her and she said it is ready but pick it up on Saturday. Went there Saturday and she was scrambling to get it downsized. Waited there 30 minutes while she was upstairs fixing it. Wow bad service. When she gave it to me it was too tight even though she took measurements. She fixed it as I waited. The stitching is terrible and service is terrible also. Go to a proper shop. Prices are same. And the service here is terrible. Not worth it. I would strongly advise against. read more

I really never write reviews....just to give an idea of how bad the service was. I gave specific instructions and provided material and trim. Was advised to call back to pick up in 2 weeks. When I called, it was not ready and was advised to call back at another time. Took about month, which would have been fine, HAD it been what I had paid for. She does not return extra material and she did NOT use the expensive trim I provided, but rather made a cheap one herself using cheap beads. This lady is a thief. She did not use the trim I provided but put a cheap one in its place. I was with my infant child, so I was in a rush when I picked up my things. I came for my bridesmaids dress to be altered in a very short period of time. She was able to finish everything (I just took 3.5 inches off the dress) in 2 days and her work is fantastic. Her work is pricey (I paid $70) but I recommend Mona for any last minute alterations read more

I took a chance and decided to give Mona a top of mine that needed minor adjustments. When i spoke with her on the phone , she quoted the job would be $15 which was expected. When i went to drop off my top, she asked me how much i wanted to pay so i re-quoted her $15 and she scoffed. She took it from my hand and insisted that she would charge nothing less than $35 and started going on about more work that was to be required. I was pressed for time and I decided to give her a shot. Bad Idea. Five days later I went to pick up the top i gave for altering. I called a couple of times in advanced to ensure she would have the top ready when i came by. When i arrived, I went to the room to find her feverishly stitching the shoulders that she charged $35 for... She initially alluded that the work needed was much more elaborate to have been charged the 35 instead of 15. When i asked her what other alterations did she make that shes charging me so much for, she went on to say that the top was previously altered before and it was a mess and she fixed it. Funny part it, the top was BRAND new and she was the first person to lay her hands on it. All in all, I'm extremely disappointed with her work, ethic, quality, and pricing. Extremely expensive!!!. Mona charges at least $50-60 if you want an already stitched suit or blouse altered in size.... because according to her she still has to open everything up and re stitch it...... if you want a suit made from scratch then it's at least $90-100!! And that's low balling it... She charges extra for zippers, clasps, fabric for under the suit... etc... In the past I have paid $40 total with other seamstresses to have a whole suit made from scratch.... too expensive and i didn't get my stuff on time read more
