Bought a cheap dress off Amazon after coming into this shop too close to my wedding date to order from here. The window displays were full of fancy gowns and the store has some floor stock which can be purchased off the rack. I really appreciated that Adriana was conservative in her order time approach rather than blowing sunshine to get me to order something that might not arrive in time. I took my chances with the Amazon dress which did arrive timely. It was also workable given how cheap it was and I was so happy when I returned here. Adriana gave me a fitting consult and advised she'd have it ready for me several days before my wedding date, down to the hour of 3:00 p.m. that pickup date. Sure enough, it was ready exactly when she said it would be. I tried it on with my shoes and everything was perfect - hem and upper body alterations. I asked for the leftover fabric pieces to maybe make some matching hair bows or something and they were waiting in my dress bag. With taxes the hem and alterations came out to about $90 which was actually more than I paid for the dress, and it is worth every penny. I asked if she provided pressing service but she doesn't provide that service. She advised me on the proper setting to use if I did it at home as opposed to taking it to a dry cleaner, so I did it at home and it turned out fine. She used to be located down on St. Clair for about 12 years and then moved up to Vaughan about a year or so ago, so while the store is new here, her experience is solid. She has a fantastic interactive website and answered my message immediately from there while my dress was in the shop. She's upbeat and professional, as well as good at her work. I had two dresses altered at Professional Sew & Fit and she did a fantastic job! The dresses fit beautifully now, and it looks like the dresses were made that way originally. My husband also had his pants hemmed and he was happy with her work as well. Definitely recommended! read more

I've gone back to Adrianna (might have spelled her name wrong - sorry!) here on multiple occasions...for good reason. Not only is she the sweetest person, but she is exceptionally good at her job and conscientious about others. For example, when I brought her a few different items I was thinking about having repaired, she very transparently told me how much each would cost, and which she'd recommend repairing based on the season and how effective she predicted her repairs would be. She also clearly outlined different options (and costs) for repairing each item. In the end, I've had her repair the zipper on one of my coats, sew a dress between the buttons so that I can wear it without gaping (aka so that I can wear it at all - thank you for saving that dress!), and patch sweatpants and jean shorts--and I'm sure there's more to come! Of course all of these repairs were done with the utmost professionalism and are virtually invisible from the outside. I felt completely confident in her opinions and recommendations as a seamstress who obviously knows her craft. She was also able to get them done quickly before a trip I had coming up, and though I only requested one of the items be finished quickly, she did them all much earlier than anticipated. She has a changing room in her store and is obviously very careful about following COVID-19 protocols and cleaning immediately after each client. Thanks again, Adrianna! read more

I go to this place to get most of my pants tailored. Adriana (I think was her name) has done a wonderful job with them in terms of quality, finish, and service. I also appreciate that she stayed patient with me throughout the whole process. I do recommend for the near future is that when more guys come in to try on their altered pants, just ask them how it feels around the calf area. I found that with one of my pants, the calves were too tight and I don't plan to wear them anymore unfortunately. On the other hand, everything was fantastic. Horaay! =) read more

I ordered my wedding dress in a bridal shop and it arrived 2 sizes bigger and a month late. They said was the producers fault and that they cannot fix a dress 2 sizes bigger. It was a nightmare not only because of the size but i was only 1 week till the wedding. I was looking to buy a dress off the rack when i found Professional sew and fit. They told me to bring the dress that it can be fixed. I was skeptical because i tried alteration places that i knew and either was told that cannot be done either that there was not enough time. I went for the fitting and i could see that she knew what she was doing. When the dress was ready i was amazed to see that the design was not changed at all could not see where was altered and was a perfect fit. My wedding was saved i didn't had to wear a dress that i don't like. I always go to Professional sew and fit now to do all my alterations and i recommend it to everyone i know. I just picked up a bridesmaids dress that needed to be altered and hemmed. She did a wonderful job. I was a bit nervous since I couldn't very well buy another dress if something happened to it but it looks perfect and now fits like a glove and also looks as though it came this way. She gave me two options for the hem in terms of length (it is floor length) and showed me both. I also changed my mind and originally wanted it to touch the floor and pool a little then decided I wanted it to skim the floor. She also offered her opinion in terms of what was best for the dress. She did not bat an eye and happily repined the whole thing when I changed my mind after taking it off. She told me the price of each change and had me okay the cost before leaving which was unlike many other experiences when having formal dresses fit - no surprise $200 alteration. I also brought in a pair or shorts and skirt that she did a great job making wearable - both wear too big in the waist. All items were ready within a week so quick too! Space is clean as has a large fitting room. There is even a couch to sit and wait with magazines. Great experience. read more
