Liberty Mutual Insurance - Local office has a better rate - Home & Rental Insurance Near Me - Austin, Texas

Hit and run driver hit me and had Liberty Mutual Insurance. It has been two weeks and no adjuster. No estimate. No rental car.

In November requested a quote from Liberty Mutual. The quote I received was basically what I was already paying so I blew it off. Got spam emails and junk mail that i basically ignored, because I never responded to the quote. Three months later, I receive an overdue notice and a bill for $2,500 in coverage that I never authorized. I never spoke with an agent, much less met with one. Certainly didn't sign any paperwork authorizing the coverage. Called the number on the overdue notice to let them know I never authorized the coverage, to let them know they need to cancel whatever bogus policy they have on file and delete the charges. I was promptly put on hold where I've been for close a hour. Not sure how this will turn out for me, but be warned. Even if I end up getting this undone, I can already tell I've got at least an hours long struggle to get this resolved. Do not get a quote from Liberty Mutual Insurance. read more

Terrible service! They will steal your money by adding your 16 year old kid who doesn't have a driver's license. They added $350 on top of my $200 for one driver and one vehicle. They still haven't refunded me my $350 and I've called 7 times. I had to cancel because they are thieves. read more

A Liberty Mutual/Safco insured hit my new Mercedes in a parking lot and then drove away! $9500. damage. We got the plate number! This supper cheap ins. co. would not let me have it repaired at the shop the dealer recommended. Too pricey they said. So it went to there recommended shop. It has been there 103 days, each time they say it's ready, I go to get it and the work is so inferior they say oh we will redo it. If Liberty Mutual- Safco was the last ins.co. in the world I would not choose them. They have the ability to saw a nickel into two pieces. That would save them 2.5 cents!!!!!!!!!!! I am a senior and have delt with ins. co's all my life LIBERTY MUTUAL / SAFCO is by far the very worst! read more

Shelby Lencioni has been a great referral for us. She and her team helped me set up home/landlord/tenant insurance with the utmost patience and professionalism a few years ago. She explained the most cost effective way to do things and added electronics cover for a nominal fee. I've had to call the office for different reasons and, admittedly, haven't always been patient with Shelby. She has dealt with my queries with respect and aplomb. Local businesses like this deserve community support. Not surprisingly the office is thriving in a crazy market like Austin's - mainly due to the professional leadership of Shelby. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I have been a customer with Liberty for over 4 years. I was dropped because in 2019 I need a tow & labor, and one accident this year. Accidents are just that an accident. I have had a good driving record for over 25 years. This is ridiculous! read more

So they make me a week for a check I didn't receive it they blame the postal service now they want me to wait 3 business days to stop payment and won't use Fedex or anything to expedite the process even if I pay for the fedex they still will not expedite the process so $26k I paid and have to wait for it to be their convenience to send regular mail... I live in the state where they cut the check and I can't even pick it up. Id recommend another insurance company!! I was a customer for 7 years and I switched to Farmers much better! read more

Liberty Mutual Insurance Company Sucks. About a month ago I paid my monthly bill as I do every month at the same time and have been doing this for years. A few days later, I received an email stating that my bill was ready to be paid. I called Liberty and asked them why I received that email. The Liberty representative said that it was an error and that I should just ignore it. The next month, I received a threat to cancel my policy if I did not pay the last bill-which I already Paid. When I called about that notice, the Liberty representative was no help at all and told me to pay the bill with late fees even though I had already paid it. Subsequent calls to Liberty were even less helpful. The representatives were arrogant and belligerent. They still have not corrected the bill and I do not expect them to. Do not do business with the Liberty Mutual Insurance Company thieves. If you have a policy with them, cancel it before it is too late. read more

As the other posters here have said the agents at this Austin office are fine people...however they are not the ones you will be dealing with if you have a claim. The picture I have posted shows an example of the run around you can expect if you have a claim ---The adjusters out of office email say to contact her supervisor ---the supervisor's out of office email says to consult the website...when I call the 800 # it recognizes my number and I am put directly into the adjusters voicemail...the adjuster never calls back. This is why my claim for a car accident 3 months ago is still unresolved. It would almost be comical except that I have been without a car since my $600 rental allowance was up after about the 3rd week. I have heard from them a handful of times but with weeks of radio silence in between. The local office tried to help but Im not sure how they have much more control over the situation than I do. read more

If there was an option for 0 stars, I would have picked it. This company has the worst customer service. They kept billing my mother after she paid for the year in advance. We were never able to contact our agent who said "I tried to get in touch with your mother several time." My mom works from home and NEVER leaves. This shows how hard she tried. We called and told them we want to cancel in September of 2015. When we recieved a renewal we were confused so, we called and they said we never called. The longer I was on the phone with the customer service rep,the more she revealed. Like, we called in September and mentioned we were insured thru someone else. Well!!!!!! Doesn't that mean we called to cancel? Now, we have to get in touch with the allusive agent in order to cancel this. STILL!!! How hard is it? We do not want to be insured by you any more. That is just my mom's situation. They wont let me cancel either. They need me to be insured with another company first. REALLY? Isn't that what we tried to do with my mom? Wow!!! Just wow!!!! read more

I completely agree with the previous rating of 5 stars. Adam is very knowledgeable and very easy to work with. I send him our current car and home owners policy, and he came back with quotes that had more coverage with less money than Farmers. He explained all the differences in the policies and we were so comfortable with him, we switched immediately. I highly recommend calling or emailing him for a quote. We are very happy we did. read more

I just recently moved here and transferred my insurance to Austin and Liberty Mutual. I have met several of the agents, Scott M., Phillip M., Mike W., Lindsey D. in several social venues and was blown away by their enthusiasm and zest for what they do! Every interaction has been pleasant with the utmost professional and personal customer service. You guys rock! read more

Worst experience. Use another company. My husband and I were tboned when other driver ran red light. Here we are 7 weeks after crash and we have nothing. They gave us rental car and said we'd have it for about a week, get our check then have another week to find another car. Ok fine. But no.....our agent is m.i.a. we have had no communication and multiple voicemails and emails unanswered! Even his boss has neglected to call us. This is beyond unacceptable. As of yesterday, Enterprise said your car is due back, it's been over a month. So we drop it off. Incur a $200 fee for the taxes we are responsible for (liberty mutual should pay that) So of course after several failed attempts of contact...we still have no check, no rental car (no way for him to get to work or Find Another Car!!!) and soon no more relationship with this awful company. Never thought we would be treated like this after a horrific accident that wasn't even our fault! read more

Apparently liberty mutual is in the business of protecting criminals. I was involved in a hit in run by their client. I was able to get the plate number and have pressed criminal charges and filed a claim. It's been been almost 2 months. I have done all the work. I got the accident report, pictures of both vehicles with matching damage. Their paint is on my car! They have not called or emailed me once! Apparently they have to give their insured a chance to respond. Their chance to respond was by stopping when they hit me and providing aid if needed to my 3 small children in the back! One who is only 10 months old! The other 4 and a 3! That's was their chance. They have also apparently had a hard time getting hold of the detective who I have talked to on numerous occasions without a problem! Liberty Mutual apparently has a problem of picking up a phone! Protecting Criminals! Their insured is not cooperating with the police! Give me a break! read more
