Disclaimer: I am only reviewing the snow tubing. I just came up for the day did not stay at the resort. My friends and I came to snow tube and had a blast. Every staff member we met was super nice and helpful. We took a shuttle from the parking lot to the tubing area. They have food options everywhere if you or the kids get hungry. We enjoyed our time riding down the hill. Would make for a great outing for adults and kids alike! Highly recommend. Cost is about $50 for 2 hours worth of riding! read more

Gorgeous views and a great resort hotel for accommodating large groups! Our family of 21 stayed here during our vacation and had a wonderful time. The lobby and grand fire pit were absolutely stunning, perfect for relaxing and gathering together. The pool was nice too, but keep in mind it closes at 8pm -- just like most of the property's amenities. The AC units were so loud we couldn't sleep, so we ended up turning them off and sleeping with the window open instead. A major downside was the poor WiFi reception. Since it's a ski resort at the base of the mountain, cell phone signals are already weak, so we really depended on strong WiFi -- but it just wasn't there. Pro Tip: Ask for a room with a view! Most of our family enjoyed beautiful golf course views and balconies, while we ended up with no balcony and a parking lot view. The location was incredibly convenient -- just a 20-minute drive to the historical sights of Gettysburg. Overall, a lovely spot for a group stay with an unbeatable setting. read more

This resort has cheaper prices than White Tail or Wisp...and there is a reason for that. Firstly it is in the middle of nowhere and not many amenities/restaurants around. Food in their resort is pretty bad and overpriced. Tried their poutine...hard pass. You will want to drive a ways out if you want actually good food. If you are coming around the holidays you will want to double check when they open. The website was not clear and we thought it opened earlier than it did that day. So we lost out on a few hours as the day pass only lasts unless sunset. The line to get gear was also ridiculously long (we came around the Christmas holidays). I think they definitely could have managed the crowd better. There were several ticket windows but only like two were open. We came a little earlier than when it was due to open and it took over an hour to get our tickets and get our skiis before heading to the slopes. Then of course you are waiting a long time for lifts as well. They do offer beginner classes but some of their other package ticket deals were not available to purchase despite have their prices on the boards. One of my friends was considering purchasing that to come back a few more times in the season. In terms of the slopes, there are 3: easy, medium, difficult. But there are only two lifts. The difficult slope also has some ramps/rails if you wanted to do tricks. The beginner classes take place near the bottom of the easy slope, which is really annoying since that just gets in the way of folks who are still novices but don't want to pay for the class. The medium slope has a pretty dangerous spot. As a beginner you want to have some space to maneuver and the easy slope is always just too packed. So I gave the medium slop a shot, but mid way through there was a sharp turn that is not beginner friendly. The sides are net fences and you can easily slip underneath them. I injured my leg sliding into them. Wish they put some padding around the poles and the nets reaches into the ground. read more

Aw sad to see our local ski hill only has 3 stars. Is it Vail or Tahoe? Of course not. It's also a lot closer than those places if you live in the dc area like most of the clientele here. It has a backside and a front side. It's small. But the runs are comfortable and when there's no line, you can get in a lot of runs in a day. No line is the key because it sucks to wait all day for short runs. They have kids programs and developmental programs for older (7+) kids. BYOK. Bring your own ketchup. They always run out. The food used to be better pre pandemic but it's edible. Also go at off times to the main lodge or risk not finding a seat. Overall clean and enjoyable day on the slopes. Everyone is super nice. read more

2/22/22 Wow, 10/11/19 is when I located this business and it brought back memories on when I first learned to ski there. I came here on a day The Lab School Of Washington (I have written a review on this school) organized class trip to Ski Liberty. This place is one of the most memorable moments in my teenage years. Why? Because I learned a new skill in my life that was a lit of fun. Granted I was wedging going down a hill for quite a while, but eventually learned how to stop a a faster speed. It was also a lot of fun, because I was with my classmates; as well, as starting at the same level as some of my friends. I wish I was able to remember the names of the hills I went down, but this was back in the early... no...late 80's early 90's time frame. I love going up the ski lift too. I recall later on during my Gow School experience falling asleep on the lift and waking up near the top of the lift. I would love to ho back here, but I know my wife would not be interested in ski. Oh, well, the good memories are still on my mind from visiting this place. read more

Grew up going here so it brings back memories for me. It has really changed since I was young, mostly in a good way. Some of the enhancements are a court yard with tables if you want to bring your own food or rest, outside drinking/dining in multiple areas, a quick service type area just inside the door of the resort. They offer tubing now and have additional parking. I recently had my son do ski school and the instructor Mike was amazing. The slopes are well groomed though the weather hasn't cooperated the past few years. It is a great place to visit! read more

i stay in Washington DC and driving here is only 1.5 hrs not bad compare to colorado when i stay in texas. To begin my review just full disclosure this is only my own opinion folks. I snowboard multiple times a year having a epicpass holder give me that perks. Compare to Vail, Breckenridge, Keystone this resort is no where close to them. Although they are better than Snow creek in kansas it's kinda upgrade and on a good day of or snow days Liberty mountain can be a decent ski area here in PA. I actually like it here better than White tail resort in Mercersburg, but that just my opinion so pls don't judge lol. Try to visit multiple ski resort and u can compare their difference. read more

Just finished up my 3rd trip of the year there. Great little mountain. However 2/3 times we have visited we have had MAJOR issues with our Epic passes that have caused us to spend literal hours in guest services and in the ticket lines. There's always something ridiculous that goes wrong on your end. The mountain needs to get this fixed ASAP. read more

My family drove 2 hours from Virginia to here, and it's well worth the drive. This ski resort is a hidden gem behind those corn farms. We arrived at about 1pm. The next private lesson is at 2pm so the kids played in the snow for the first hour. The girl and the boy behind the rental counter were really good. They not only picked out the shoes and the skier for the kids, they patiently help the kids put on the shoes and the skier. Mr. Luis the ski instructor was really good also. He taught the kids how to put on and take off the ski, how to break, how to turn right and turn left and how to walk uphill. After 1 hour, he took them on the chair lift and skied down the hill. I was so excited the kids were able to ski down the hill after a one hour lesson. The kids love it. read more

My rating is based on their customer service, as a customer and as someone who is the in customer service industry! I understand policy but I really wish they would have been more understanding! I will never step foot in the place and from what I've read I can't imagine the ski conditions been great the warm weather we are having! This company was so focused on the corona virus that all logic went out the window masks are required which is awesome but the bad part was that they put up a bunch of socially distanced lines for tickets ski rentals that dont even help prevent the spread of the virus it just slows everyone down. If you are going to buy tickets then rent skis for a day trip which usually took half or maybe one hour before corona hit will now take 3 hours. There was a line of 35 people that we were in. Took us 2 hours to get to the front of the line but not even inside the building. If i were you I'd drive the extra time and go to blue knob or macaan ski resort in WV. read more

The slopes are okay, but customer service is horrible. We were given a Christmas gift for 3 rentals and lift tickets. The person who bought it for us was told to just get it for one name to make the transaction easier. When I w8ent to use the 600 dollar plus voucher they inform me that it is for one person and one transaction per day. It does say that on voucher, but not what purchaser was told. When I ask the manager can she do anything since the season ends next week. The manager working there starts raising her voice at me while saying there is nothing she can do. So I raise my voice back and she yells at me even louder. I advise anyone who reads this to never buy these passes unless you like to throw away your hard earned money. read more

SHAME ON EPIC for putting this in the same pass as Keystone, Heavenly, Kirkwood, and Northstar!!!!  That's like selling a bologna sandwich on stale bread for the same price as a prime filet at a good steakhouse.  I knew East Coast mountains were nothing like West Coast, but Whitetail midweek last year was not bad.  My first time to Liberty was on Saturday, and it was the absolute worst experience in my 25+ years of skiing/boarding.  Holy Hades.  How stupid of me to get an EPIC pass for Child and Self without seeing what this place was like.  Want to wait ONE HOUR AND FIFTEEN MINUTES under a blizzard of wet manmade snow gunning down on you to get on a slow lift to ride down a sub-par hill?  This is your place, folks!  Wish I'd have snapped a picture of the mosh pits trying to get up the hills.  Workers had no idea how to run lift lines, and they - seriously - had one tiny gas station sized container of warm something long gone by the time I passed it with a sign that said "free coffee and hot cocoa".  Maybe for 10 out of the thousands of people that were there.  We have our own equipment, but the renters' line wrapped around the building.  My guess is if you didn't bring your own food (we did THANK GOD), you prolly were waiting 45 minutes for a meal.  We were ready to roll at 8:10 am and within two runs the lines were unbearable.  My young child was rusty from last year, so we literally walked halfway up a green and went down that way a few times.  I think we got in 8 runs in 8 hours.  Horrendous.  ZERO social distancing, and since I didn't have the misfortune of being here pre-COVID, I'd say bring back reservations or something because in its current state, I cannot fathom this place ever being remotely enjoyable for anyone. read more

If I could give lower I would. Call center, 12 times called, hung up, and did not return call. It was admitted in the store that they hang up all the time because usually it doesn't pertain to them. That maybe true, but I tried different sections just to get someone to pick up. When I left a voice mail, n return call. Also, could not order lift tickets on line after trying for almost two hours. One person trying to serve everyone in line- wasted everyone's time. Finally, no place to put things in locker. Hadto either walk back to car, put in plastic bag outside, or where a back pack while skiing. From personal experience, that put my back out for over a month. I talked to others and they said they wanted to go skiing but had the same problems in trying to order lift tickets or rea h someone by phone. Do I talk with two people who gave up. So my guess is that Liberty robbed itself 200 to 300 hundred percent. That 13" snow on Monday should have packed the place. read more

No regard for Covid at all..... obviously you will see signs all over that say please wear a mask, social distance, etc and all over their website. It's supposed to be their policy, but apparently not when you get there. The lift chair lines are SO crowded and SO poorly managed. Most people wear masks on their chins or neck gators under their nose. People stand right next to you and right behind you, no 6ft distancing and mask is kept nor enforced. The staff does NOT care if skiers and boarders wear masks or distance, frankly they don't keep a distance or wear masks themselves. It can be so easily done with the amount of space they have. They can easily expand their line divider/rails and make them 6ft apart. Place stickers or signs on the ground 6ft apart etc. Staff members enforcing skiers to wear their masks over their nose. Horrible job by Liberty team. I wouldn't be surprised if I tested positive for covid soon the way everyone cluttered around me in chair lift lines. read more

I am only giving this place one star. The accommodations were nice but I just attended a wedding there this past weekend and the staff was extremely rude to the guests of the wedding. There is a public bar on premises and we were told we were not welcome there. There were rules for guests of weddings that didn't apply to anyone else. We tried to order shots and was told we can't sell shots to wedding guest but the golfers who present were allowed to while we sat and observed. NEVER have a wedding there. I gave ski Liberty 2 stars only because ta where I started and I learned a good deal of things practicing there over the years however I am in to my 5th year of snowboarding and have traveled a nice bit and I can honesty say ski Liberty is by far the most expensive for absolutely no reason I have been to snowboarding in Colorado, West Virginia, Quebec and at no point have I came across lift tickets as expensive, the mountains at Liberty are on some days well groomed most of the time full of clumps of ice, board rental folks are pretty useless be sure to check your boat d size needed before going or they might give you one 10CM to short snowboard instructors are ok depending on when you go some of the younger guys rather show off than to to each class, unless you get a day or two of good steady snow it's a pretty basic place very good to learn and practice when there is some fresh snow down, advantage card seems more to their advantage you have to pay 119.00 to get an advantage card and a 40% discount each time you come but you would think since you purchased the card it would come with a lift ticket since you just paid almost double the amount of one single ticket but nope you have to then go spend more money to get your lift ticket, pizza is 30.00 for what they call a large in reality it's about a medium pizza that you buy from the grocery store and put in the oven, I think it's safe to say this will be my last year ever going to Liberty I refuse to pay twice as much as some very popular resorts with more accumulated natural snow shorter lift lines and cheaper prices. read more

The hotel is nice. But the private lessons here are horrible. The coaches have strong attitude and scared my 6-year old. She was taking a 2pm private lesson. Obviously, ski liberty did not give these teachers time to eat. They were mad and upset, and vented to the poor kids. We paid $120 an hour to have the kid got scared! Shame on you! You guys need to take care of your coaches! read more
