History
Established in 2005.
I noticed no one was really focusing on, much less serving, the recreational transportation needs of persons living with disabilities or serious medical conditions, or families with children, especially families caring for a child with medical needs. I saw how much this needed to happen, and since no one else was doing it I decided to start the wheels rolling myself. We launched the "responsibly exceptional" travel adventure provider Liberty Livery first, and now we have been able to focus on the needs of the younger and the more vulnerable adult travelers. As a pediatric home care nurse I especially relish time spent with older children, who are often slow to engage but who eventually morph into some of our most fanatically loyal and interactive customers.
Through the combined roles of caregiver and chauffeur, Liberty Livery provides accessible and entertaining transportation and travel adventures for children, families, small groups and solo travelers to destinations near and far.
Meet the Business Owner: Mary E. P.
Always a horse of a different color, I was born and raised in rural Maine, the sister of five brothers and the only daughter of a woman who in 1965, at 44 years of age, graduated teacher's college in four straight years with her youngest in kindergarten. A nurse with an ivy league education, I am now six years into a radically original business concept for nursing and accessible transportation. I bring to it lots of passion, nerve, Yankee ingenuity, and a lifetime of experience with the elderly, children, and persons living with mobility impairments.
