After doing some comparison shopping with the big franchises, we decided to go with this locally…read moreowned company for 2 reasons: 1) Help fuel the local econmy and 2) If we had issues, they'd be right up the street rather than outsourced through multi-facted channels. We paid $200 extra to have them move the furniture. By the time they showed up on the day of installation, we had moved 75% but they made no comment, and after they'd finished the LR, they told us that "we" could put the furniture back! (which we did!) They were 30 minutes late arriving, were here removing old carpet for an hour and a half, left to "get the carpet from the warehouse" and showed back up an hour and a half later! By that time it was 1pm. Although the 3-man crew worked diligently, albeit with their dirty shoes on,(should use booties), bringing their drinks inside, conversing loudly in Spanish and taking personal phone calls repeatedly throughout the day, they finally "finished" about 7pm., but they weren't really finished since the company owner had failed to order the strips to place on the edge of the laminate flooring. So, they had to come back later after it had been ordered. So, the owner came back the next day and showed samples again and re-measured (another unnecessary trip). She was in and out in under 120 seconds and never even bothered to survey the work that had been done the previous day! She then scheduled the remainder of the job 4 days later and we were supposed to be "first on the list" which, for this company, means anywhere from 9-10am. So, of course, on the day of she called and said they were "running late" and that it would be another hour and a half...Since we were between a rock and a hard place, we had no choice. So....the worker showed up 2 hours later than subsequently promised and needed to use our garage to cut the strips. Ok, ok....but, she had already made us wait and inconvenienced us for hours (all tolled) so, they couldn't at least have the strips already cut to fit?? When we questioned the guy why he was late, he claimed that the owner had failed to alert him that he had an assignment. Not sure what's going on with the owner but it's obvious that customer service is not high on her list of priorities. What we do know is that if we ever have flooring needs in the future, we will not choose her company.

I called him up and asked him about the repair quote and he said my wife didn't ask for that. He told me there was a miscommunication on my wife's part. I know what was discussed between him and her, since and I discussed what we wanted and she called me right after to let me know. I feel that Jason heard what he wanted and disregarded the rest. My wife says the only question asked was "if the door went to the garage." He was more interested in selling luxury vinyl. If there was any miscommunication, it is because Jason was focused on what he wanted, and not what we wanted. We had a great floor buying experience with Fjelland floors. We contacted Ryan at Fjelland about…read moreour ridiculously squeaky floors. He came out, assessed the situation, provided good advice and options on how to proceed. His assessment was that prior moisture issues in our crawlspace had lead to a very squeaky sub-floor which required removal of the existing laminate flooring and re-securing the sub-floor with screws. We discussed the pluses and minus of new flooring options and decided to go with a solid hardwood hickory floor. We chose to remove all the baseboards and existing flooring ourselves which saved some money. The installation crew (Frank, Frank Jr., and Martin) spent a week re-securing the subfloor, and installing the new hardwood floor and reinstalling the baseboards. From end to end the whole process was very professionally handled. Communication with Ryan and the office staff was clear, helpful, and informative, and I can't say enough about the install crew. They were there early every day until the job was done and they were meticulous in their craftsmanship. All-in-all a job very well done. We're very happy with the result and NO MORE SQUEAKING FLOORS!

We wish we had -- before we moved in -- because it really needed replacement.
