We are so glad we found Mt Washington. The rooms were very cute, quaint, and comfy. This is exactly what you think of when you picture a quaint little New Hampshire Inn. It is a little off the beaten track, which was fine with us. The rooms are very cute, with very nice accents. Each room is different and very nicely decorated by the owner. There are always coffee and tea and cookies available in the dining room. The breakfast was very nice. We had french toast with baked pears and sausage. I will definitely stay here again if I need to be in this area.

The Inn was built in 1909 by Thomas Edison. Yes that Thomas Edison, the one who invented the lightbulb. The Inn has so much character it's pure eye candy for those who appreciate the fine craftsmanship of classic furniture, decor and interior design. We stayed in the Thomas Jefferson room, the biggest room with a king size bed and infamously know to have housed Joe DiMaggio and Marylyn Monroe back in the day. We sat outside in the afternoon to enjoy some mid September sun in the chairs that were available. This is a very old house with high ceilings and big spacious rooms, which makes up for the tiny bathroom. There is a very nice gift shop maybe 1/2 mile down the road (Vickie's) and we were able to do some shopping and have a great lunch in Cornish about 1/2 hour drive away. Limerick is a very friendly little town and the B&B is a great place to unwind.

The entire home is clean, fresh and peaceful. It's on a quiet road set on a hillside. The landscape is lovely and lush. The grass is thick and green, the gardens are a delicate dotting of pastel colors that compliment the home perfectly. The barn is.. well.. stellar. It's old old old, but it is SO well taken care of. It has the most gorgeous wood flooring and it has.. wait for it-- A FIREPLACE! *swoon* Y'all.. the sunset is breathtaking. You can look over to the west and see the mountains just being cloaked in the golden hour of sunset, not a single thing disrupting the ambiance, with a soundtrack of a trillion peepers all around. Safe to say, it is a true gem. It's fun, it's beautiful, it's exactly where you want to have a special event like your wedding or family reunion. I'm writing this review from my bed early before a day of biking with my son at KFL. What can I say…read more- this place is great. And we found it by accident! My wife found it online the day before we came up on a busy June weekend. The quick rundown is there's a big converted barn where we stayed. The rooms are clean, rustic and charming. The barn lodge was quiet each night while it was clearly a busy weekend. There's also camping allowed on the site, but the vibe is mature and family friendly. Everyone we met was kind and polite to me and my 9 y/o son. There is a separate shared bathroom and shower facility about 30 feet from the barn. While this may not be everyone's thing, the indoor and outdoor showers are all clean, strong and felt wonderful after a day out on the trails. There is a large shared common area with a tv and nice space to read, which doubles as bike storage if you're rolling around on a $10,000 sled. There's also a shared fridge and coffee there in the am. If you're coming up to bike the KTA trails or just enjoy the beauty of the region I can't recommend the farm enough. It may be my regular place to stay for future weekend trips.
