Even more suprising (and if you travel you know what I mean) the air-conditioning was really cool and really quite and beds were comfortable. Since then, we have stayed three times, and we have had always a nice stay. The most important part: The lady that manages the office, Nancy, is the Best I have seen in that job. My wife and I have travelled in 42 states (until now) and we have stayed in every kind of hotel and motel you can imagine. Nancy is the most helpful and responsive motel manager we have met. And always with a smile. I know - that should be the norm. But it's very, very rare nowadays. So, cudos to you Nancy, and I hope the onwers know how lucky they are. You give their property a good name for hospitality. We'll stay again. No question about it.

The carpet definitely needs to be ripped out and the couch had a few stains on it. This hotel is definitely dated and needs to be upgraded. Thankfully, I was situated within the Pool building on the inside so it had more of a Hotel than Motel feeling. Plus this typically affords more peace and quiet. That is NOT ok and I hope someone there speaks to the housekeeps that would have been cleaning rooms 234/235 on Sunday, 09/13. That makes me not want to return to your resort! If you are looking for a place to stay in the North Country, forego the other hotels along Main Street and stop into The Libby House (Libby House probably has better rates too).

Initially, we didn't see too many options that seemed appealing in the area. There are lots of options for winter sports in the area...snowshoeing is huge, skiing, xcountry, dog sledding, etc., but lodgings in this immediate area were scant. We are so glad we found Mt Washington. The rooms were very cute, quaint, and comfy. This is exactly what you think of when you picture a quaint little New Hampshire Inn. It is a little off the beaten track, which was fine with us. The rooms are very cute, with very nice accents. Each room is different and very nicely decorated by the owner. There are always coffee and tea and cookies available in the dining room. The breakfast was very nice. We had french toast with baked pears and sausage. I will definitely stay here again if I need to be in this area.

There was a severe ant infestation, chips under the bed, wrappers under furniture, and black/brown specks in both beds. My youngest was scared, and we couldn't stay. When I asked to speak with a manager, they called someone who was on vacation and barely let the employee explain. I was denied a refund with no help offered. I'm a single mom and teacher, and this was supposed to be a quick, special getaway. Instead, I had to scramble to find a new place late at night. Absolutely awful experience. Stay far away.
