He was amazing-patient, creative, and helped us stay within our desired price point. He also was great at helping us obtain what we wanted, but in ways that would work practically. As you can see, the attention to detail and craftsmanship is incomparable. From designing to install, this process was so smooth, we could hardly believe it. I am extremely disappointed with Vetsch cabinet's service…read more I used their design service and they made multiple mistakes. They did not build the cabinets as expected. Worst of all, When I pointed out obvious mistakes, they refused to admit that they were wrong. I was terribly insulted when they tried to convince me that the corrections were something that I would not want and/or were not standard practice. For instance, the cabinet over my fridge is very tall. Normally it would have an adjustable shelf. I pointed this out, but they wanted to charge me to correct it and they tried to convince me that tall upper cabinets over the fridge, do not typically have a shelf. It took them over a year to correct and they charged me for the correction. I made it clear from the start that I wanted rollout drawers under my sinks and cooktop. They charged me extra for this, but it should have been in the original plan. They tried to convince me that there would not be room for it, but there is plenty of room, I thought it was in the original plan and they charged extra for this correction. There is still two rollouts that should have gone under my sinks. The knobs on the cabinet doors were not lined up properly. Usually knobs are centered between cabinet doors. They centered the knobs for some of the cabinets, but for others they had the knobs on the outside of the cabinet door s that when you open it, you only have access to half of the space. It was not what was expected at all. They wanted to charge me thousands of dollars to redo it correctly. Cabinets along one wall should all be aligned, and sticking out the same distance from the wall. There was one narrow cabinet that was shallower than the other cabinets so that the line of cabinets had a kind of alley inset. This was all wrong, but they would not admit that it was a mistake. I got them to partially correct it, but they wanted to charge me to correct it properly. So, now the cabinet is only half as deep as it would have been had they done this properly from the start. I asked Kurt Gonyea the owner to break down the charges, but he did not do it completely. So, when they charged me to redo a cabinet that needed correction, I do not know whether I paid for the cabinet or the mistakes. They did not listen to my requests, communicate clearly and they did not admit it when they made horrible design errors. They were reluctant to come to my home (I'm in Elk River, the shop is in Albertville) so the time for the final corrections took much longer than expected.

To determine whether or not you have a discussion moving forward with someone on the phone based solely off of their income is incredibly judgemental and insulting. This person, Paul, has no idea that he just lost a job that could have been a large account. Money is not an issue for my family, someone judging me and unwilling to have a conversation with me based off of this information is. I feel badly for any person out there who is just looking for information and will not receive it because their income is not high enough.

We built our home a little over a year ago and because of the builder we couldn't shop for…read moreflooring. Needless to say we will never use FocalPoint in the future for any flooring. Our laminate floor started separating about 6 months into its life. They sent someone out to glue the pieces together. That lasted about a week. Next they filed a claim with Shaw flooring. Their rep wrote that it was homeowners fault for using water on the floor. The floor has never seen water. We have always used the Bona laminate floor cleaner that was suggested by Focalpoint. Focalpoint is not willing to work with us at all. Also, are carpet, that we upgraded from the builder grade, is pulling away from seams, fraying and badly matted in the high traffic areas. They came and stretched the carpet once and again basically said we were SOL. It's nice to know a company cares about the products and the people they are working with. Good luck to you if you choose to go with them.
