After buying " extra lean" beef and getting it home, only to find fatty pieces hidden under the top layer. For now, I just purchase things like coffee, frozen foods and canned goods, etc and save my money to purchase produce and meats elsewhere. Checkout clerks are friendly but some of the younger baggers will talk your ears off.

A week later, thawed them and opened one to make supper-- they were RANCID. Repacked them with plastic wrap to seal in the odor and my father attempted to return to the store the next day. The manager, Kevin, denied a refund stating it had been too long. My father left the store with no refund, so I called to verify what had transpired. Kevin then accused us of seeking a refund after we 'ate half the package'. This is patently untrue as, once again, it was dangerously rancid. He then stated, "Well, I have a picture." I told him to check the picture and, sure enough, everything was there. He refused to apologize for his accusations and again denied a refund. Now we are out $12 for a product that should have never been sold. Given the shoddy products, non-competitive prices, and POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE by KEVIN, we will never return to another Market Basket.
