Dr. Runge rushed into the hospital from being on call and performed the proper procedure to treat my blood clot immediately and effectively. At the time she first saw me, I had no idea what condition I had or what might've caused the clot, but it was her expertise that allowed me to get the proper diagnosis. She's incredibly smart and has a warm, calming demeanor about her. She took the time to talk with my husband in person after every procedure I had done, and also explained everything to me in person in the OR. After I was out of the hospital, she sent me info on a surgeon and physical therapist she recommended. If it weren't for her coming into work that first night I was in the ER, I'd be dead. At 11:20a I put on my clothes to leave, stopped at the reception desk & told the attendant that I had waited over an hour with no feedback or explanation from any staff member. She looked at me & said "oh I think you're next......what's your name again?" There was no one in the waiting room when I arrived and the office was very quiet through out the time I was there. When I walked out over an hour later there was only one person sitting in the waiting room. As I said, I could hear doors opening & closing & a woman's voice saying hello with each opening. The point is, there did not seem to be any kind of emergency. There are too many specialists available these days that make a patient a priority. It doesn't take much -- stick your head in my exam room, say you know the doctor is late, would I want to wait and oh by the way here's a magazine, or would you rather reschedule? There it is -- 20 seconds is all it would have taken to make me feel a little easier with the situation. I won't be back.

The practice is quite busy so interaction with the front desk was very limited. Mask mandates are in force and the Dr. Kong and his staff in the medical area were very delightful and caring. Once I actually was taken to the exam room, which was a lot longer than I had anticipated. My appointment was at 10:00, but did not start my turn with them doctor until 11:30, however I do take into consideration that their average patient this day appeared to be in their late 60's to late 70's and in a rather compromised condition, and in these matter often Doctors & Nurse need more time with these compromised patients. I personally do not mind waiting.

My wife went with me to see the Dr. and we left feeling completely confident that he was the one we wanted to do my surgery. Just the way he talked put me at ease, so I said ,"lets go for it, the sooner the better." I don't know if he had any problems during the operation, but I sure didn't. I walked over the the Dr's office and they had not clue on how to rectify this, they forgot to schedule his life saving surgery. I have planned this for a month, and my husband has too, we have both taken unpaid time off work. This surgery is urgent and they are showing NO professionalism by not trying to rectify their error. I will be calling the medical board tomorrow if I don't get this scheduled this week. This is NOT about the Dr. but the office staff. Monica was helpful but the "scheduler" was nowhere to be found to rectify this situation and nobody seemed to care.
