His physical assessments of my ruined hip were thorough, both times I saw him in his office. Today, Dr. Martin gave me a shiny new titanium hip! He came to talk to me before and afterward -- the surgery took less than an hour (he's done a LOT of these surgeries), and he said it went smoothly. (My anesthesiologist, Dr. Fritch, was awesome -- she explained everything in medical terms, as requested, as I have a medical education.) Dr. Martin asked me if I had any questions, both before and after surgery, but honestly, the nursing team had explained everything so well -- with written copies of everything -- that I didn't. He showed me pics of my ex-hip... it looked as bad as it felt. And then he shook my hand and told me he'd see me soon. (The nursing staff verified that I had my first follow-up appointment scheduled.) Three hours after they wheeled me into surgery, I went home in His Goatness's care. The licensed physiotherapist got me up and worked with me on the proper way to stand, sit, walk, sleep, etc, so my hip can heal without complications. While I was a bit groggy from anesthesia, there were no side effects. I recall the discharge instructions clearly. My main care nurse gave me a hug (we were all vaccinated and masked). So now I am home, comfy, fed, and cat-covered. I am impressed, Dr. Martin.

This is one of two locations serving as home to three wonderful orthopedic doctors. The staff is very courteous and professional. They have a system, that every patient has access to, where they can send messages, request prescription refills, hold a virtual visit, check/request appointments and make payments. I had an elbow set back and doctor Armington was very knowledgeable, informative and supportive. He got my plan started almost immediately. Anytime you have a orthopedic issue, there is a level of anxiety, nervousness, and anxiousness. It is a huge decision to make. This place is a good solution because they seem honest and provide you with the information for you to make your best decision, without pressure. And if you do decide to go with them, as i would highly reccomend, they will guide you along your journey in a professional and supportive manner.

The event was very informative. They showcased a lot of services they offer, shared special promotions, and even gave out lots of freebies. For the event, a swag bag was given at admission that included a shaker cup, vitamin C serum, and lots of supplements for health, which was a fun touch. One of the highlights was getting to learn more about my skin through their LED technology. This was quite interesting. The office was packed, they had things set up in the front and all around in the back. It got crowded at times. A gorgeous charcuterie board, fruit-infused water, and cake pops were available to guests. This was an insightful event. It was a really good way to attract new clients, and a thoughtful way to offer deals and appreciation to their current ones.

I made an appointment online the entire visit took just an hour. I struggled with TSW about 5 years ago but still present symptoms. When I have a flare and I tell the drs and nurse practitioners that I refuse to use topical steroids. I'm usually met with opposition and discontentment. Marie, one of the nurses practitioners, was wonderful! She was kind and listened. Made me feel heard. They were all pretty great! Made a not so fun visit bearable!

It helped us to go directly to this surgical center. We didn't need to navigate ourselves through the mammoth hospital parking lot or use their shuttle. Yes, this place has a shuttle service-I know...right? I'm thrilled about it. Where to find the shuttle is easy. Locating your vehicle afterwards is another story. I will say this though, having a key fob helps. Honked our way to our car just fine & dandy. Figuring out which suite upon entering the building was a challenge. Me being me, I tend to appreciate signage. I'm a bit goofy like that so...as we ended up in the wrong medical office. A kind employee was able to advise us that our path was merely across the hall. So off we went. No skipping was involved, you'll know why later ;). There comes a time where a person has to get certain things done. It so happens to be mine now. It's not an appointment that you'll wanna do but a necessity for early detection of stuff. Yes, stuff. This appointment was made way back when in December via a phone call. Paperwork followed a week before the upcoming appointment. The instructions on said paperwork wasn't as reader friendly as my preferred method but now I do know. Wonder if someone could develop an automatic text msg 24 hrs beforehand to the patient like a hey dork, don't do this...but DO this...bc if ya don't do this right, you're gonna see us again...mb ending with xoxo?!? I'll leave it at that when you realize what type of specialist I'm referring to in this situation :). Dr. Toby Reidy, DO, FACS, FASCRS is a gem & delightful doctor. She stopped by prior to the procedure to introduce herself & explain what was about to occur. She didn't used medical jargon. As we asked questions she met them with sound responses. Love love love how her kindness integrated into an easiness that resonated prior to my procedure. Not once was I freaked out or wanting to instantly bolt my way back home. Was it the anesthesia? Perhaps. Even when I explained that her homework as completed was done in a cliff note version (totally my goof) may not be optimal. I did call her office before my appointment & apologized to her profusely IRL. She kindly explained she'd do the best she could given that most of what was needed from my end was completed. Whew! That was a big load off. Hadn't thought a driver was warranted initially. I'm glad I had one as a precaution. Seems that anesthesia leaves patients groggy. Even though afterwards I felt as if I was ready to tackle the world again, I did find myself repeating questions to my own answers for why IDK, arrived home & fell asleep. That's definitely was from the anesthesia. Doctors actually do know what's up, eh?!? This one certainly did! Grateful for the care & compassion from this facility. Even received a HRU phone call the next day from a real person. Would've taken more pictures. Unfortunately, when you're sitting in a waiting room all ready to begin this showdown, Kodak moments don't really seem appropriate. All I got was the lobby. Hope this helps those that need this done & has unnecessarily put off the inevitable. TBH, get it done STAT. One less thing to freak yourself out with in your daily routine.
