Matt, the sales Rep was my first contact. He explained everything, and, it all worked out just as he said. He said Sol-Up would take care of everything, and they did ! Permits, city inspections, electric company inspections, HOA paperwork and of course the installation itself,,, they take care of everything; they even paint the exterior box to the color of your building !! And the Powerwall 3 is a marvel of convenience and engineering. A lot of thought went into its design.. After 6 months,, I'm still impressed !!! Now,, my motivation to have solar installed is the electric company itself. You see, I could not understand why my home lost electric power when there was a fire/disturbance miles away. The electric company Rep told me their power transmission system was singular, they don't have the capability to shutdown individual power lines,, they have to shut down everything !!! So, the Powerwall 3 allievates their antique system with that shortcoming since I now have battery backup power for my entire house !! I can't recommend Sol-Up high enough, 5 stars isn't high enough !!!

Spoke with their office folks, who sent out a representative to assess the condition, and prepare a strategy to make the system bird proof. System's new guards installed, so that there is no access to the under panel space. Those birds will have to look for another Reno roof for protection. Thank you Sol Up.

We purchased 27 "High Snow Load Rated" panels from this company and 100% of them failed. The warranty has specific exclusions requiring you to shovel the panels despite some of them being located some 30 feet above grade. We were able to shovel half of them, the other half were inaccessible. All of them failed. Their response "file an insurance claim". They do not disclose their 15% loss experience in 2017 nor will they disclose their loss experience in 2022-2023 which was much more profound than 15%. The bottom line: it's absolutely fraud to sell "high snow load" panels in Lake Tahoe and then do nothing to support the product. Do not buy anything from this company. Disgraceful.

They dropped the ball in every respect. We had an appointment scheduled for January 2nd to go over the scope of work and next steps. Not only did they fail to show up, but they didn't even bother to call or follow up. Completely unprofessional. What made matters worse is that months later, they contacted me as if I were a brand-new lead--asking if I wanted to buy or lease solar for my home. Clearly, they didn't even check their own records to see that I was already a client. That level of disorganization is unacceptable. I also reached out multiple times to Tanner, the representative who initially set everything up, via both email and text. I received absolutely no response. Total silence. If you're considering solar for your home, I strongly recommend staying away from Blue Raven Solar. Based on my experience, their customer service is extremely poor and unreliable. I've since decided to move forward with Tesla, Inc. solar panels, and so far, they've been far more responsive, organized, and professional. Do yourself a favor--look elsewhere.

By the third week of April the job began and the first inspection cleared. Our garage had cuts that needed to be patched, and it took months for them to get someone to fix it. One of the battery covers had a big dent in it, and that too was a headache to deal with. We thought energization of the solar system would be a non-issue, but it took an extra six weeks from their timeline for our system to fully work. NVEnergy evidently found an error in Blue Raven Solar drawing and they needed to make amends before legally and safely moving forward the solar system could power. Altogether it took more time to put and energize this solar system than to order it. If you're willing to give eight months of your time making sure someone is home in the process of this project, then anticipate a semi sloppy job. We wholeheartedly can not recommend this business.

We were without consistent power other than a portable generator for over 30 days when our batteries, inverter and generator failed. That's when we learned of Shawn and his team. Aspen successfully converted our solar system in the middle of a horrid January, 2023 to a Fortress lithium battery system. Later that year, they installed a new Solark inverter system. On 3/6/25, we lost all power with an alarm on the Solark inverter. i contacted Shawn who put me in touch with his incredible employee, Vince who called within an hour to help troubleshoot the system. He asked me questions to understand the situation and said he would be out to assess and hopefully repair, 3/7/25. Vince arrived and within minutes diagnosed the issue and made the necessary repairs. He even allowed me to video a tutorial on what to do if we are ever faced with a failure again. Before I retired I was in the customer service business for over 40 years and have to say I have never met a vendor and team who cares about their customers in the way that Aspen Electric! As I never realized or thought to hire an electrician to ensure everything is OK. Now we are here and out of warranty for bad installation. It cost a pretty penny to make sure the house is going to be safe. The solar electrician we worked with asked why we went to them. Rather than the company that installed our solar. Long story short. They dont have the talent to support. Took a few months of back and forth to get no where. Its a bit disappointing. Sales team are so good to make things look like it was so worth it. Either way. The people are good. For when we worked with them, they had good ratings. Next time, I'll do better res w arch for companies if I proceed to move towards sustainability again. I was hoping it would be a good relation for the long term. We still have them. As the solar panels are awesome. Just sad to know that they didnt really have the appropriate talent or knowledge to ensure they were following best practicing for the electrical aspect. The most important side. So FYI they did installations through a third party and they are G3 solar. Reno Solar is just a sales company with members who probably know nothing g about the installation process. They have been in comms with us. Just overall I give them a 0 for safety. 3 for friendliness. 2 for knowledge. I would rate them lower on yelp, but I did like how they worked with us for the install, prep, and attempt to navigate the wiring concerns that a non solar electrician saw. The only constructive feedback is for the crew to communicate a bit more during installation on what is going on. Brody was pleasant and responsive whenever I reached out.
