I was able to make payments on the dress over a few months time, but it was an unbelievable deal. The dress making skills these ladies have at this shop is an unmatched handmade quality that you won't find anywhere else. I'm actually looking forward to future purchases I will make here. This shop is owned by a sweet Russian widow who values her customers and shows a lot of care in retaining loyalty. This business is her heart and you can tell by the love she puts in it. She explained she has had bad experiences of brides coming in just to find out the size and style they like, then going and purchasing elsewhere. I understand her point of view but that really rubbed me the wrong way as a customer. I wasn't able to remember any of the dresses I tried on, therefore I ended up purchasing my gown elsewhere. She also seemed to have a bad vibe. She mentioned that getting the "this is it" feeling isn't common then said only 80% of women experience it. The whole experience was off putting in my opinion.

To be honest, I was uncomfortable to put myself into a gown for a day that has a purpose to put me in the center of attention. However, I had done my research before going in, with my thoughts that I did not want the traditional white/ivory color, a little thought on the cut, but I also had an open mind to see what silhouette would look great and maybe, just maybe I would find the one. My appointment was on a Friday evening at 7:30 pm and NO ONE else was in the store. I asked my stylist, Anaise, if this was normal, and she said "Yes, this is the BEST time to come!" - I pictured the excitement to come on a Saturday when the shop might be bustling with excitement, but through the appointment I LOVED the fact that it was just my stylist, my friend and myself. I did not have to feel strange eyes on me, and I could just be me and honest. Anaise gave my friend and I an opportunity to go through the store and pick some dresses that we enjoyed and wanted to try. The only dress I really wanted to try was a gray one, but we still were open to that traditional white/ivory. After I tried on several, I put on the gray and I knew that was the right color. Then I tried on a gold that was a a great fit but the color was just wrong. The experience was great to get me warmed up, Anaise did a great job, was professional, and really understood what I was after, but David's Bridal was limited to what I really wanted. Unfortunately, the styles found online were not available in the store anymore as well. I would say the store gets 2-3 stars, but staff gets 5 because they are fantastic. I give 3, though, because I would say the options remain limited for myself. However, the prices are great, affordable, and you will be able to have a fantastic experience, find a dress with a great fit, and be beautiful on your day. The shop is very tacky looking inside, the dressing room is a flimsy sheet, and while I tried on dresses the owners kids dropped of McDonnalds which then sat in the room with us smelling up the place.
