The worst place to send your vehicle to be repaired…read more The owner gave us incorrect advise on repairing my vehicle and decided to install a second hand engine, as he thought he could do it. This is not the case. He basically did not install parts back properly and had the vehicle for over three months, then I collected my vehicle . drove it a mile up the road and I got smoked out, enough to affect my asthma for a week, as I could not breath due to breathing in burning plastic fumes. The owner admitted to not putting a part back correctly and the manifold melted it. The owner confessed to me in his own words "I forget things and in hindsight I should have not told you I could repair your vehicle" So back the vehicle went again. He has bodged everything on the vehicle and even raised his voice over the phone to me this morning for no reason. I kept very calm as do not rise to insult! The owner previously forced an old intercooler pipe to the manifold with an incorrect Jubilee clip which was not part of the pipe. (his words today, he did not want to spend any more money on it) Even though he did not mind taking thousands from me, when I could have put that money down on a new vehicle. This has now caused the pipe to blow and come away from the manifold. I will now be taking my vehicle to a trusted garage to have this fixed and to find out what other damage Paddock Wood Autos have caused. My strong advice is to anyone considering using this garage, do not ever take your vehicle here. as they will lie and rob you blind. They do not care about keeping you safe in your vehicle even if you have young grandchildren in the car. Please be safe and go to a garage that cares and fixes your vehicle properly.

My cars rather too old now to be paying top dollar at a BMW dealership so when I started using these guys I was really pleased. They are really friendly way cheaper than BMW and even Halfords (just had to get my brakes fixed as apparently running over little old ladies is frowned upon). They even have a car washing service that is great value for money if like me you're too lazy to do it yourself. They don't just service BMW's so whatever car you have they can help and they've been there for years, so they aren't some fly by night dodgy mechanic. Big thumbs up.

Used this garage as it was recommended to me by the RAC as it is a RAC "Approved" Garage and as it…read morewould get priority in getting fixed. 1st mistake listening to the RAC! Neven again. 1st off all the time it took to repair the car was 7 days. At first, they said they thought it was contaminated fuel, even though I told them that it had had half a tank of fuel go through the engine with no problem (it smelt funny like petrol they said). after 2 days of them having my car I phoned them to find out what was happening they told me it was not contaminated fuel, they said it was a regulator valve on the pump inlet (they had ordered the valve and was going to fit it without my consent) this was quoted at £105 (on the bill it's is down for £130) for the valve and with labour it would cost worst case scenario it would be a total of £300 + vat. So, told them to go ahead and do the work but to keep me informed. I had to keep checking in to find out when the part came and when they were going to fit it no curtesy car was offered. I then eventually went down to the garage to ask what was happening. They said they would fit it that day and ring me if there was anything else needed to do, I asked if it would be at 4:30 Nev said would be before that. I waited until 5 and rang them. They told me it was done and to come down. After getting there I then waited 40 minutes as he fixed up a bill, he told me that it would be £565 this is because he has to fit another part the filter housing as it was sucking in air ( was this the problem in the first place and nothing to do with the valve?). This was not authorised by me and there was a lack of communication. I argued the bill and he knocked off an hour labour (£90) this is all well and good but this is still £115 over the worst case scenario price. Do these people think we have money stuffed in the matrass waiting? Overall: - No communication - Not done in a reasonable time - Work done to car without authorisation - Not transparent with work or cost - should be called Nev'll fix it (eventually) at your peril
