Bought a car back in March 2011 which was a Mondeo diesel from this garage for around £3k. The car developed a fault within days going into 'limp home mode' at random times. Despite diagnostics the garage owner Shaun Rowe couldn't find the fault. It went back and forth several times until I took the advice of trading standards and wrote a letter. Then his attitude changed to that of a charlatan car dealer who made his earlier quote of 'we don't run away from a problem' look very shabby. My letters received no replies and I eventually rejected the car which was returned to the finance company and I got a refund after submitting a county court claim, not from Motamart but from the finance company. I don't think he set out to sell me a duff motor but he should have dealt with this properly and offered me a refund or a replacement. I should have trusted my instinct when I walked into his 'honest John style' car dealer reception which stank of fags, for the first time but I needed a car quickly. This was a lesson learned..you don't need to learn the hard way like I did. read more
